I love this restaurant. Who knew I would have to go Omaha to share this Vegan option Sushi restaurant with my daughter. The best vegan sushi ever. Ther is one in Lexington, but who knew Omaha would have this delicious place. We shared our rolls, the mist soup, and seaweed salad.
Words do not do this place justice. The best sushi I have ever had, hands down! The atomsphere, service, food, drinks and happy hour are all just incredible. Definitely try if ever in the area. Even the water has cucumber in it! The freshness, flavor, craftsmanship and uniqueness are just incredible.
Blue Sushi is in my humble opinion, one of the best sushi spots in the world. With multiple stylish floors and speedy, attentive servers on every floor, it's a must-visit in Omaha's old market. Whether it's a fun night out with friends, a romantic date, or a family get-together, the atmosphere is as charming as the sushi is delicious.
Come during happy hour if you can, for great deals! And don't miss out on my favorite plate of their shishito peppers. 🙂 🌶️🍣🍙
To preface my review, it was Saturday night, labor shortages are real and I was on edge because hungry. Anyway,
I was with a large party and we had two tables. I was alone at the table next to the full one for a bit but the server took the other table's order and completely ignored me. I went to the bar to try to order my food so it would be put in at the same time and we could all eat together still. The server intercepted me then and I said I was trying to order. He walked me back to the table and still didn't take my order but got another server to come do it 5 minutes later. When the one other person in the party came in a few minutes later he never brought her a water and didn't fill up mine.
The food was really really good, as always, but I haven't been here in a while and probably won't come back for at least as long. 🤷🏻♀️
Table of 10 on a Friday night and our service was incredible! Fast, fresh, and delicious. The chicken lettuce wraps were very good.
Food service and atmosphere was amazing. Our server was very quick to get drinks, gave some great sushi recommendations, and very quick to add more when we ate it all! Expect to spend $60 or so if you're having a few rolls and drinks per person. Will definitely go back!
A real treat. Some of the best sushi I’ve had in awhile. We had made a reservation and had no wait at all. Sara our server was very nice. She made some great recommendations for us. The price of everything was very reasonable. Felt like a special and nice place to eat. There is a lot of bar space. The cocktails are unique and delicious. They have a very large sushi menu as well as other dinner and appetizers options. Large variety of things to try as well as options for people with specific dietary needs. I will definitely be coming back to Blue Sushi. Music and atmosphere are great.
We had such a great time. The service was excellent, the sushi was inventive and delicious, and the drink menu was wonderful. Please try the shishito peppers and the blueberry infused vodka if you can.
Everything about this place was fantastic. Our food was well prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. The drinks were gorgeous and incredibly well balanced. Service was next level. Our server Michael was amazingly helpful and kind. We will definitely be back here next time we are in town
I was very surprised to find a really good quality Sushi place in Omaha. It was my first visit to Omaha, was really looking for good ol'steak.
But I decided to go into the Blue. The music was off that's why I gave it a 4 vs 5. If you decorate the restaurant with spiritual things & meaning then tie music as well. The group of diners was from 30-50, so the bepop techno was off and folks focused on conversation and eating.
Food & drink we're on the mark. The sushi 🍣 was very flavorful and melted in your mouth.
I was impressed with the quality of food freshness and service. My server was very amiable & funny.
It was a good time and if ever in Omaha Nebraska go there for great Sushi 🍣.
My normal location is in Fort Worth but this place was just as good! I love seeing the consistency. I got a couple rolls the hot popper and rainbow rolls. Both very good. You can’t find a better sushi place I promise!
Wow this place has the BEST sushi I’ve ever had in my life! The menu is huge and they have so much variety. I especially loved the fact that they had so many vegan roll options. Definitely love traditional sushi but with vegan rolls you get ingredients you normally don't see used in sushi like pineapple with bbq eggplant + red peppers. We went during happy hour so we could splurge and try several different things. I got the roja, Unami express, & shiitake to me. All 3 were delicious!! The staff was very attentive & kind, the atmosphere & decor were on point, and the food was incredible. So sad I don’t live close to one of these or I’d be eating there all the time. Been traveling through the country and trying sushi everywhere we go and this one knocked it out of the park. Well done!
Ordered a very large takeout order, new to Omaha for vacation this week. When picked up the atmosphere was hip, flowing with lots of people who seemed to enjoy the place. Unfortunately got home and a dish was missing, called to get it refunded, bummer because it was the only thing I really was looking forward to on the menu but definitely didn’t want to drive back for a missing item. Food was EXCELLENT. Only reason we gave 4 instead of 5 was the salmon sashimi was very, very thinly sliced and looked nothing like advertised & the missing dish. Pictured was the salmon.

This was a really cool spot. They roll sushi so fast and the bartender was spectacular. She was shaking up some amazing drinks and they were so pretty. First, my blueberry martini was so good and my daughters lemonade was so refreshing. The Mango Crab Rangoon was delicious. We ordered 3 roll, and only one of them was terrible, the Iguana. I was so excited for the roll as it's rolled in cucumber but they used a disgusting crab salad in the roll that over powered all the great flavors it is supposed to have. I would not suggest it. The LA crunchy roll and tempura shrimp roll were delicious. We were in and our in 45 minutes. Pretty impressive!
Just visiting Omaha and stepped into this gem for the first time. Sushi was amazing and our waitress was very attentive even though it was pretty busy on a Friday night. Will definitely be back before we leave!
This place is great. The waiter was so wonderful and helpful. He was able to handle our big party easily and deal with our rough requests. The happy hour menu is great, and everything we had was perfect.
Amazing presentation and incredible food. Our service was perfect, we had a large party and lots of drinks, apps, etc.... all was handled with grace and style. Great vegetarian options and lots of them... Creative, as well. Faux eel, even. Recommend!!
Super extensive menu. Sara was awesome in breaking it down though. Came during happy hour, just by chance, but prices still a bit high. That said, the sushi was great and I'd come back to try more rolls.
