Excellent food with the right amount of flavor. Nothing was too spicy hot. Great ambience and hosts. Paneer Tikka on the Appetizer's menu is a must try.
The service was amazing, very kind people and the food is worth the wait. Absolutely delightful 10/10 for me and they do buffet on Fridays. So stuffed and happy š
Absolutely Amazing!!! ā¤ļø Itās taken up by new owners and I must say itās one of the best Indian restaurant Iāve been to in a while. I was in Omaha for work and happens to come across this restaurant. Love how their food is traditionally authentic, flavorful and fresh. I tried their buffet for lunch , they have a wide range of options to suit the palate- It was scrumptious !!! Love the Lamb Biryani, the chicken vindaloo, butter chicken, vegetable pulav , reshmi kebab, Sambar and the fish fry. All the dishes were so delicious. They also made me a Russian salad on request, which I loved. I went back again before I could leave Omaha and got me some Chilli Chicken , Chicken 65, Subzi Miloni, Lamb do Pyaza , Gongura chicken, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani (again) and shrimp tikka masala with some garlic naan and paneer kulcha!! I shared it with my friends and we had a ball with the food. The meat was tender and delicious, perfectly cooked and exquisite. Definitely coming back here!! šÆ It is surely a āmust visitā while in Omaha!!
We were told the new owners had just taken over the restaurant a month ago, but looks like they kept the name. I had never ventured into this restaurant previously though so I can't say how it's changed at all.
The dining area is a very comfortable area to sit in, with high ceilings and chairs with high backs .
Service was a mix. Our male server was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, whereas the female one was more reserved.
Service was not exceptionally professional, more like when your friends are helping you serve at the restaurant.
Garlic naan was pretty standard 4 stars.
The standout dish for flavor was the goat curry (medium spicy). 5 stars on taste. I wish there was more of the sauce to go around since it's delicious. It's got a very rich deep complex and meaty flavor. (What I expected from the vindaloo but we will get to that in a bit)
Tikka masala (shrimp, medium spice) hit the right spot. 5 stars. It would be these two dishes that I would go back for.
Butter chicken (not spicy) gets a 4. It's a good take but the Tikka masala was just better.
I didn't like the (we did lamb, not spicy) vindaloo because it wasn't what I thought it should be. If you told me it was another dish I might have been more accepting... But there are just other better things to order in my opinion. 3.75 is my rating. I will say their lamb was very good and tender
So I do need to caveat that perhaps because of the spice levels that might have affected the flavor of the food. I do like things spicy but I ordered some things not spicy because of my friend. I might need to redo those dishes at medium and see how I feel.
I also would have liked it if the rice came out hotter as it was lukewarm when we received it. The curries were hot so we didn't mention it.
I do want to return for their lunch on the weekends since they have the buffet (not available for dinner). It seems like there might be a lot of options, but I didn't ask for the price.
Parking is downtown parking so expect to pay at the meet. I think for the meters just outside the restaurant it was 1.25 an hour.
Would recommend the food, but if you are looking to impress your date and service is important, you might want to wait on this one until they train their staff more.
Pleasantly surprised!! From the ambiance to the food that packed a punch of flavor (Choose your spice level wisely!), this place was a rare find in Omaha! The staff is to be commended as well! Our host went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied and even offered a complementary palate cooling dessertā¦which was DEVINE!!! Definitely recommend!!!!
Food was amazing š best Asian food I had during my trip to Omaha!
We went here for lunch expecting to have the buffet from what we researched. I just love to sample a little bit of everything with Indian cuisine. We went in, and it appeared that the buffet was set up, but not running. I was immediately disappointed. We decided to stick it out and order anyhow, Iām glad we did. The food was so good. I tried the butter chicken and my son got the vindaloo chicken. I tried his and it was phenomenal and mine was as well. The garlic naan was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Great food and the staff were awesome.
My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Flavors. The food was delicious, and they truly listened to accommodate our spice level. Also, the service was excellent. We will definitely go back!
We arrived here 30 minutes after they open. The buffet did not appear to be open which is understandable with Covid being a risk. There was only one waitress who was clearly busy so they need to have another but that was the only complaint we had. We ordered the vegetable samosa for an appetizer, butter chicken and an order of the butter naan and garlic naan. They only had the regular naan, butter naan and garlic naan available. It was my moms first time eating Indian food and she loved it! The price is decent and the establishment was clean. We will definitely return here!
Lunch buffet was delicious! Just what I'd hoped it would be, good mix of rice heavy dishes and sauce heavy dishes, had naan and mulligatawny soup as well as a selection of chutneys, fruit and a salad option. Went on a Saturday and they had a bit of trouble keeping everything stocked.
