I am on a different way of eating, so I didn't expect a low carb option on the menu. But they had one. Enjoyed the Pescado con vegetables very much. Delicious. The service was good, too!
My favorite taco Tuesday spot, Alfredo is the best bartender, food arrives very fast, chips and salsa never run out ๐๐ป
The whole staff was amazing! On top of there game the whole night. Paid attention to detail even though the place was packed.
Our neighbors favorite. The staff remembers you, the food is good, the portions are sizeable, and they have a comfortable patio that's perfect for pups. Try the Toddler Meal without beans-your pooch will love it.
We have been coming here since they opened and love the food, waiters, waitresses, Mgr Johnny and Owner!! Even now that we moved to Ontario we take that drive here for Lunch!! Thank you staff for especially making my Margaritas just the way I like it! ๏ฟฝ and great service!!! ๏ฟฝ

Was busy for a week nite probably because the food was excellent unlike other Mexican restaurants I have been to.
They went far beyond the typical beans and rice and some other item . Served in authentic style I recommend

Food was great, service was friendly and fast. Food came out super hot and everything was as ordered! We appreciated the dog friendly patio - they brought a water bowl and water for our pup. Menu was broad - thereโs sure to be something for everyone! The chips and salsa were also very tasty.
We absolutely love coming here. This location is inside a Historical Church Building. Itโs just beautiful.
The staff is over the top wonderful, the food is outstanding.
The dining room is always clean and comfortable, and the outdoor patio is wonderful, clean, and weatherproof. The bathrooms, although difficult to access for someone with mobility issues, are always clean and well stocked.
Fantastic place to go for date nights or family time. They even have a separate dining area for parties or large group events.

I've been to this brand but first time at this location. It's a converted church (not lost on I or my friend with our antics) and it's stunning. The stain glass is breathtaking!
The service was outstanding! We were there for a few hours talking, talking and talking since it had been forever since last together. The waiter and bus staff were sensational to us. The food was delicious! Had a beef quesadilla and chicken fajitas. Just YUM! Still a reasonable price and huge portions. Special shout-out for their homemade salsa. Has a great bite and loaded with fresh ingredients. I should have brought some home!
Beautiful place. Old church turned restaurant. For the vegetarian the avocado burrito was filling and delicious. Service fast !
We had a business meeting here, not realizing how busy and noisy it would be. We sat outside which was less noisy. The service was great! They checked on us frequently which we appreciated. Our food came out very quickly too! The food was good but not superb. Fairly regular Mexican fare. That being said I thought it was a bit over priced. All in all, a very good meal and nice ambiance.
I swear this restaurant brought our food out so fast I thought it's was a mistake until they said our order I mean everything about this place says excellence from the restroom to service ooh an please don't forget the food can you say PERFECTO!!!! ๐ฅ Everyone here on the same page they see your drink almost empty their sitting a fresh one down just as you sit the empty one down.. I definitely recommend this place to any one who's a El Torito fan go here I bet you reevaluate your decision..... Fresh chips an Salsa.. You can't go wrong.. This location is really unique. It's a historical building in Orange that was remodeled for a restaurant. It was an old church. Outside seating with heaters, in side bar and plenty of seating. Stain glass windows are beautiful. I ordered the surf and turf tacos and they were very good. Beans and rice were good. Plenty of good options on the menu. They have several other locations, but this one is a really different because of the building and you need to come visit. Chips and salsa was several. Salsa is very hot, FYI.
First time visit to this church repurposed as a restaurant. Beautiful windows and wooden furniture give great ambience! Good food was served quickly, and an attentive waiter was not intrusive. Highly recommended!
The food is fresh and delivered within 5 minutes. They have the most attentive staff equal to or better than a 5 star restaurant. Their chips and salsa are fresh and hot. The fajitas canโt be beat. This is our favorite eatery bar none. You will never have to ask for a refill. Again, the staff is the best
Tastes like your mother's cooking. The rice and chillie relleno reminded me of childhood. I really enjoyed the chicken enchilada!!! Definitely an unexpected delight found in a moment of hunger. The is a lot of staff so the tableware is always being cleaned up. Only advice is to be careful with the traffic. For what appeared to be a quiet street the drivers were erratic.

We went to Avila's El Ranchito for dinner based on a recommendation from our Airbnb host. Located in the Old Town section of Orange, the restaurant is located in an old church. The building is very cool and beautiful. The staff is friendly and we didn't have to wait to get a table for six (we went around 7pm). The menu is expansive with lots of options. They give you complimentary chips and salsa which were very good. The salsa had the perfect kick to it. We ordered a chile relleno , crispy taco, and enchiladas. The chile relleno was very good as was the crispy taco. The enchiladas were good as well. We were surprised they used ground beef rather than the shredded that was in the taco. The refried beans were very tasty. The restaurant is very kid-friendly. They have a menu specifically dedicated to children and are happy to alter the items to accommodate your kid's tastebuds. Service is friendly and quick. They checked in on us multiple times to make sure we were happy and had full drinks. Pricing is average. Most entrees seemed to be $15 to $20 or so. We enjoyed our time at this place and would return when we visit Orange.
Excellent food, service, ambiance. Went for first visit on a Sunday. We ordered Cheese Enchiladas with customary sides of beans and rice. I know this is a basic standard dish, but Avila's is excellent!! Served super fast, hot and delicious. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Excellent, can't wait to return and try many other items from their extensive choices. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. Fantastic.

This place is Always a great... But our visit the other night was the best. My wife and I along with our youngest met the parents of our oldest son's girlfriend.
And they are totally awesome !
A good place. I wish they would switch out the tortilla chips. They're too hard. Stay away from the fried ice cream. Felt and tasted like it had been prepared a week before. The outside was hard, stale, and chewy. Really gross. Otherwise, dinner was great and service was good.
One of the things we missed most during the pandemic was eating at this restaurant. We love sitting out on the patio, and we were excited to do that for the first time in over a year. This time we had chicken fajitas, but tried the fillet mignon salad as well. Loved it. Service was average today, but itโs usually pretty good.We have tried other Avila's locations but this one is the only one we go to.
Excellent food and great service! The place can be a bit noisy at times from all of the happy diners and frequent family celebrations. However, don't let that distract you from a great meal.
