If you're in Orlando for a quick weekend trip and looking for lunch or dinner I recommend checking out Uncle Julio's at least once. The complimentary chips and salsa are some of the best and my favorite. The service is spot on, the available of seating is really nice too - big restaurant both indoors and outdoor seating. I went during the week and it was low volume of people inside the restaurant which made it even more relaxing. I can definitely see this spot being packed on weekends and possibly nights. If you're not coming for food, I'd recommend this spot to try out some of the refreshing cocktails they offer. Nice spot next to icon park with plenty of parking around the surrounding area available.
I called super early to order a to-go family meal for 4 and waited outside the restaurant until they opened. When they actually did open, the Manager on shift was super friendly, courtesy and full of sunshine and greeted us with a great big smile! Since we were waiting for a long while, she was kind enough to offer my husband and I free drinks on the house! Steve, the Bartender, was super pleasant and great to talk too. He made me a delicious spicy Margarita that hit the spot. We definitely would recommend Uncle Julio in Orlando for their extraordinary customer service, drinks and food! We were happy with everything! Kudos!
Came here with my wife on a Saturday night and found good spot inside the restaurant. We were not super hungry and only ordered appetizers and tacos. Everything was tasty and superb. For those willing to come here, take advantage of the free parking in the annex. Accessibility available in the restaurant.
Great place, recommended to me earlier today. Really loved the happy hour pricing on the drinks, more than half off. The beans were fantastic well…. everything was very good. Our server Ana was friendly.
Food was amazing! Cocktails were flavorful and pretty to look at. Quality of ingredients was great. The meat was a bit overcooked and the rice in my bowl was a bit dry and kind of crumbled and fell apart. Seasoning was 10/10 but the cooking was a bit overdone to my liking. I will bring people back here because it still was that good! The chips were so light and fresh but the salsa was definitely too runny and tasted kind of watered down which was disappointing but the flavor was interesting.
Tex mex was not quite what we had expected. Went here for a work gathering. The drinks were completely off (too much lime in all of the drinks). I had to completly order a different cocktail, Sangria. At the end of the meal, the manager came over to address this. My dish was the rice bowl. It was decent overall, but for the price, I was not overly impressed. My husband ordered mixed fajitas, and the quantity and flavor were not impressive at all.
We also ordered regular guac, which was done well, and another person at the table ordered guac made tableside. This was overly expensive for what was actually done as it tasted just like the regular one.
Lastly, we ordered the chocolate piñata. Fun thing to do as this is what they are most popular for. The presentation was nice. They could have more sides (dipping choices) for the price.
I cant remember our waiters name but she was spectacular we always got table aide Guacamole such a great experience I didnt like the crab enchiladas that I got but everything else was amazing. I would just go back the drinks in the.
Yesssss!!!! My favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. I live in Jacksonville area but whenever in Orlando area this place is a must stop! Flour tortillas are the best I’ve ever had. Fajitas are a must get. All veggies and cheese so fresh. The cheese is shredded off the block! Bonus they take reservations.
Ate here after visiting the Sea Life Aquarium. I had the crababd shrimp stuffed poblano pepper. It was delicious. My friend enjoyed her cheese enchiladas. The table side guac was yummy too.
Amazing, Simply Amazing.
I’m from SC & I can promise y’all, I’ve never been treated with so much respect, until I have been here. We got here Friday and it’s Sunday, and have already came 2x because it’s simply AMAZING. They make your food with real “love” you can see the work they put into their food. It is an incredible establishment. We got checked on multiple times through out our time there. (Which, We were getting checked on so much I got annoyed, but I mean I’m not use to people checking on me so many times during a short period, Which means they are doing AN AMAZING job. The food was fairly cheap. We are planning on going a 3x before we head back to home! We don’t even want to try another restaurant!
Also the taco salad is to DIE FOR!
The food was absolutely amazing, but the reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because of the service.
From the moment we walked in, they told us they weren’t accepting walk ins despite having so many open tables available, so they told us to go to the app to book a reservation.
When I logged on to the app, they had immediate times, so I booked a time 5 minutes from the current time (8:30).
We weren’t attended to until 9:20 and I had to approach the front desk several times. They simply forgot us.
When we were seated, we weren’t attended to for another half hour. Not even water or chips and salsa and we watched multiple groups come after us, sit down and being attended to.
Finally, I had to go ask for a waiter because we really at least wanted water.
By the time they attended to us, it was the last call for drinks because they were closing the bar.
If you go and aren’t attended to, ask for Frank. He wasn’t assigned our table and whilst juggling his own tables, he still brought us complimentary queso and salsa and got our waiter to come over. Frank was amazing our waiter was SOOO inattentive.
The food FINALLY arrived. Absolutely incredible!
Best Birria I have ever had.
The Caesar salad was a massive serving and the steak was so tender, it just melted in my mouth.
My sister got tacos and it was just perfect.
Therefore, the food gets 10/10, service gets 2/10.
Frank gets 10/10 for effort.
Excellent food!! Marianne was an excellent server/waitress she made the restaurant even more memorable. We ate outside and the weather was perfect.
A true 5 star experience. First time visitor for a team dinner. Made a reservation, 14 people. Martina wowed us from the get go. We had a host of appetizers. I must say that the table side made guacamole might be the best I’ve ever had. For my my meal I had the El Dorado tacos which were amazing. The chips and salsa were delicious. The drinks were great! Might I recommend the El Jefe? No, it isn’t too spicy. Dessert was great as well! Overall a great value for the money both on the level of service and the food presentation, taste, and portion size. Definitely a must eat at place in Orlando and ICON Park. Martina was friendly, engaging, and made sure we were attended to from the moment we sat down until we walked out the door. I would also add the chocolate piñata for our birthday guest was entertaining and so delicious!
Had a nice couples night at Uncle Julios. Not our first time here but first review.
Food — amazing. No complaints. Love the chips and salsa. Fajitas were huge and on point. Taco salad great. Mmmmmm
Service — our service was average. Took 25 mins to get a drink. Was pretty slow and unorganized with our orders.
Atmosphere — good times. Families enjoying the vibe. Piñata birthdays were fun to watch from a far.
We will go back thanks to the good food!
