Best character dining experience ever!
First, let me just say that this dining experience is located at Disney's wilderness lodge which is simply immaculate. I'll have to be staying here.
It is very difficult to get reservations for this dining experience but luckily several hours before I went, a dining slot opened up which I honestly couldn't believe. So if you plan to dine here and meet Snow White, the Evil Queen, Grumpy and Dopey, be sure to book it out ahead of time.
This is absolutely an experience you do not want to miss. Not only are the food offerings filled with so much flavor, the servers are some of the most polite and welcoming but you will get to dine with in the entirety of Disney World.
While you choose what your main meal is, your appetizers and dessert are a sampler of all their options. For the apps, their hunter's pie was my absolutely fave. It has turkey, chicken, cranberry preserve and was just such an amazing started with a holiday feel. For my main course I chose one of the more popular dishes, the Magic Mirror's slow-braided pork shank. This was magical. It was so unbelievably tender and it completely satisfied my hunger. I almost didn't have room for dessert, but I definitely wasn't going to miss that. For dessert, they bring out three sweet treats but the fairy tale gooseberry tart was absolutely my favorite. Lastly, they bring out the hunter's gift to the queen which is a chocolate heart in a box.
This was honestly my favorite experience of Disney in all my life. I will absolutely be returning there to dine for my next adventure.
What an amazing time at storybook dining ! I loved the ambiance and decor. The trees would light up when a character would appear ! The interaction with Snow White , dopey and grumpy exceeded my expectations. We decided to visit on Halloween and my daughter was dressed to the occasion. The desserts were delicious and the food portions were large, worth sharing or come with an appetite. The food presentation was lovely. Don’t get me started on the evil Queen she was exactly who I expected with her fierce walk and witty remarks.
This was a lot of fun and I even got to meet my spirit dwarf Grumpy! The food was really good and large portions. I got the pork shank and is was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The deserts were fun. Loved all the interactions with the characters. The atmosphere was amazing the lodge is so beautiful.
This was better than I expected. The whole restaurant has trees (whole ceiling covered and even lights up at center points). You have this unique center piece that holds apps and desserts. Everything is very true to the theme. Snow comes out, Grumpy and Dopey. They visit all the tables and dance around. Snow spent good amount of time with my child. You get a special ticket when you come in(magic mirror) for taking a picture infront of giant book with the Evil Queen (who was also amazing) if you have memory maker you can use your band here.
Food was so good, and so different. My daughters food was fun 😋 she loved that it looked like real dirt and rocks. And a special dessert treat at end from huntsman box....it made me giggle like a school girl. Staff was amazing. It's inside wilderness and while here I also stopped in gift shop that was huge and had some items I did not find in theme parks!
This was by far the best character dining in all of Disney World. I loved this experience. The characters not only come around to each table, they dance to the silly song around the restaurant. So much fun. The food wasn't the best but still pretty good. You get plenty of food. Donald was a great waiter.
The family and I came here for my sister’s birthday. This is a character dining experience with Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen. The menu has a fixed price of $65 per adult, and a partially fixed menu (appetizers and desserts). The appetizers are highlighted by a mushroom bisque. There is good selection for the entrées, but we all chose the same thing—the Royal Prime Rib. This comes with a side of horseradish mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. I came here four years ago and the meat used to be a larger slab for less money. It was all tasty though. The desserts are highlighted by a “poison apple”, followed by a deer’s heart presented in a chest by the waiter. All the food was very good, the characters were fantastic, but I’m not sure if I can justify the price. Good job nonetheless!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Artist Point. The character interactions were nice and the theming of the menu was excellent. I loved my “Stroll Through Nature” dish and would recommend to meat eaters, too! my daughters kids meal was great and enough food to keep for lunch the next day. She asked for more grapes from a bowl of mixed fruit and they went to a primary kitchen to get just grapes and brought a large serving. The smoking mirror drink was excellent!
They did not charge for my 1.5 yr old son to eat. There was ample food for him to eat from our plates.
I took my mom here since Snow White is her favorite princess, and it was such a cute experience! The portions for the appetizer course are pretty small but all together with the entree and desserts it is very filling! I don’t think you will be disappointed, everything tasted so good and each of the characters took their time to stop at each table to have a moment with everybody.
Solid food, great drinks, an awesome character dining experience makes for an incredible night of dining.
While it is not cheap, it’s such a thoroughly good experience that you should try at least once, especially on a date night.
Pro Tip: If they’re serving salmon, get the salmon. It’s the best salmon I’ve ever had.
The Evil Queen is the best. That is all.
We were doing a staycation at the hotel so decided to book a reservation for this character dining/pre fixe meal.
Overall we had a great time and the food was actually much better then I was expecting. From reading reviews it sounded like they struggled a little after the pandemic but who wasn't. You are definitely going to pay several hundreds of dollars for a family, $65 per person including my 12 and 14 year old that choose to only eat Mac n cheese, but your paying for the experience and they were very accomidating. The only real negative feedback regarding the food is that the vegetables with the entrees are straight up raw, like crudite raw. I've read it in other reviews and experienced it so we all simply picked off the rock hard, cold vegetables and placed them on the side, doesn't seem like a difficult thing for them to correct.
