My girlfriend and I came here after months of contemplating whether or not to give it a try. DO NOT make the same mistake. The food is delicious and fairly priced. We walked in and were immediately greeted by staff from behind the bar. Very friendly and laid-back environment. We ordered the Jamaican patties, fried dumplings, garlic potatoes, and the jerk chicken stir fry entree with a toss salad, plantains, and rice and peas all for a little over 30 dollars. The patties had a nice mild spice from the filling, and the dough was perfectly flaky. The fried dumplings surprised me, they are fried dough, thick and chewy, and perfect for soaking up the sauces from other dishes. The first bite we had came from the garlic potatoes and let me tell you...wow, pulled me right in. A must-have. So salty, n the potatoes were boiled, soft n full of the flavor from the broth. The star of the meal, the best for last, was the jerk chicken stir fry. Medium spice level, absolutely packed with flavor, made with a variety of vegetables. Grab the entree with the dumplings...food coma guaranteed. Highly recommend, only the first visit, will have to visit again for consistency. In conclusion, awesome flavors, friendly service, and fair prices. Don't miss out on this.

I had an exceptional experience at Marks Jamaican Bar and Grill. The staff greeted me with genuine respect and engaged in delightful conversations throughout my visit. The generous portions of food were not only ample but also clearly made with love and care. I appreciate the warm atmosphere and the outstanding service. Marks Jamaican Bar and Grill has undoubtedly become my go-to place for a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended!

Ordered a large tray of Jerk Chicken for our holiday potluck. A big hit with the staff!!! Meat was tender & seasoned to the bone! We asked that it be delivered at noon in preparation for lunch & order arrived at noon. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

It all started when I sat down in a cushion of what seemed to be pure cloud. I thought it couldn’t get better but then I see an angel bringing me my food. My hair started elegantly flowing in the steam of my food. The chicken tasted like it was seasoned with a unicorns tears and was sprinkled with angel dandruff. I was nearly brought to tears upon taking a bite. I was shookith that my acquaintance had the audacity to tell me we had to go. Jk we could have stayed all day delicious. Three meals

Yesterday, i had the best tasting authentic Jamaican food. They catered an event I attended in Ft Myers Fl. The menu was Rasta Pasta , escovitch fish, steam fish, curry goat, brown stew chicken and pepper steak. For appetizers the fried wings were delicious and those fried shrimp were to die for. It was nostalgic to get Jamaican cocktail patty’s at an event.
There was a person on a special diet and they provided for her dietary needs.
After speaking with the owner i realized why the food is so tasty. Its made with a lot of love and care for their customers. He said that the restaurant (establishment) offers a sit down and take out service. I know where I am heading on my next Orlando trip.

If you are looking for authentic Jamaican and delicious food, no frills served with a smiling face, this the place for you. Highly recommend trying their meat patties. Wonderful people awesome service, great prices, the amount of food just wow! I dare you to eat all. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again. Thank you so much, y'all made my stomach and heart happy 💜 PS to who ever wrote the chicken was dry, not sure if you ate here, the jerk chicken fell off the bone with a fork. Thank you thank you! Peace 🥰

The food was bursting with flavor. The snapper was a bit a smaller than expected for a Caribbean restaurant. However, the delicious taste made up for the size of the mini snapper. The rice was really moist too. I enjoyed the large portion for lunch. I will be back. This spot has a great environment.

As A Food Connoisseur that has Traveled and ate at Many "Jamaican" Restaurants .This Wasn't "Jamaican Food" and By Far NOT the "Real Ting" as Is Advertised. Even with that Fail their Customer service Was Worst .

Out of state visitors. Arriving at restaurant my initial thoughts if the external environment is like this what will food be like. Remember the saying never judge a book by it's cover. Well the food and friendliness of surpassed it all. So much so we returned the next day and our group we're remembered.Marks gives you the authentic taste of the Caribbean. So if you are looking for good food at a reasonable cost head go Marks. We will.

What happened?. I've eaten many times at Mark's and love it -- incredible flavors, food cooked and seasoned perfectly, wonderful dishes from the jerk to the callaloo to the cabbage to the curry. And, it's a great deal.

So what happened lately? We ate there earlier this week and across the board the dishes were not good. The brown gravy chicken was almost flavorless, the chunks were too big, and they were way too dry. The jerk pork was also seriously lacking flavor, but worse than that, the pork was under-cooked. It wasn't raw, but I'm sure it's pork shoulder they use, which is great for the dish (same kind of pork used for most pulled pork), but, just like pulled pork, it MUST be cooked till it's falling apart. If not, the meat is terribly tough and covered with big chunks of fat. Really hard to eat, really unpleasant. Definitely a hugely disappointing meal.

I write this not to pan or bash the place -- quite the opposite. I write this because I love the place. And, if something is going on, where maybe Mark isn't there all the time or they have new staff or some such, then they need to know about the problem dishes, make changes, and fix things.

I'll go back and try again sometime for sure, because usually this place is fantastic. But if I have another meal with tough, undercooked pork and under-flavored everything, well, sadly........I'll start looking elsewhere.

Best Jamaican Food & one of the best waitresses in Orlando. I visit Mark's close to 2-3 times a week. They have the best fresh Jamaican food in Orlando. The restaurant itself could use a makeover. It looks a little run down and could use some updating. But the food is amazing. My boyfriend and I have had probably everything on the menu and we've never been disappointed. The beef patties are hit and miss sometimes and wish they would make more for the demand they get because sometimes they run out. We like to go in the evenings and Saturdays days because of one of their amazing waitresses they have. Her name is Hannah and she has probably been there close to 2 years now. She knows our favorites by heart and we usually don't even have to tell her she just knows and gets our food ready for us. They seem to have a large turn around with workers there but Hannah has been there for awhile and is the best waitress I have ever had at any restaurant. I like the mom & pop feeling and seeing her smiling face each time we walk in. We have come before and Hannah wasn't working that night and we have left without ordering and came back another day. I love the call ahead option they offer so by the time you get there your food is hot and waiting for you. A must for anyone to visit or become a regular like myself. Cody is a really nice chef there and offers items for vegans which is a plus too.

Best Jamaican Food In Orlando!. In my opinion, Mark’s Caribbean Cuisine has the best Jamaican food in the city! The portions are big enough to share and the food is full of flavor. Although I no longer live in the area, I still make it my business to stop by for guaranteed authentic delicious Jamaican cuisine every time I visit Orlando. I have tried and loved every item on the menu. The Jerk Chicken has the perfect mix of spices and the Oxtails are succulent and tender. The Curry Chicken and the Curry Goat are well seasoned but my favorite will always be the Escoveich Fish! The food is soooo good, it’s worth writing a review.

The restaurant is clean and welcoming. The service provided by the staff is always courteous and they make you feel like family the minute you walk through the door. If you get a chance to meet Mark, then you are in for a treat! Just like the staff, he is down to earth and full of vibes!

Whether you choose to dine in or take out, I highly recommend this place to everyone who loves flavor and Caribbean food.

What a gem!. After five days in the Kissimmee/Disney gastronomic wasteland, Mark's restaurant was a much welcomed delight.

We traveled over 35 miles to his restaurant after reading positive reviews on Urbanspoon. The restaurant is located in a nondescript strip mall in the suburbs of Orlando, but don't let these first impressions fool you. The effort was worth it in every way and we were happy beyond our expectations. Four hungry adults and two picky children (10-11 years old) were served very generous portions at a very reasonable price.

The meal started out with Mark himself bringing out a complimentary tasting platter consisting of six choices (jerk chicken, oxtail, curry chicken, curry goat, etc.) to help us decide what to order.

We had the jerk chicken, curried goat, brown chicken (I think that's what it was called), and shrimp curry. All were served with rice and beans and very tasty lightly steamed cabbage. The brown chicken was split into two portions in a very generous way (with full servings of rice) for the children. The kids and adults all also enjoyed Mark's home made sorrel juice with ginger.

Being from Toronto, I have a lot of experience with jerk chicken and I can say that Mark's would rank very high based on my experience. As for the rest of the family, we left with:

- the kids asking to come back the next day
- the adults asking Mark for recipes (!)
- my younger son asking for a second serving of sorrel juice
- six very happy and full people (including my extremely picky older son)
- the feeling that Mark truly appreciates his customers and takes his food very seriously

Mark, thanks for an excellent experience.

I highly recommend Mark's Caribbean Cuisine to anyone in the Orlando and central Florida area.

-Mark and family (from Toronto)

Food was incredible. I'm not an expert on Jamaican food but I do know what good food tastes like and that was good food. I had the jerk pork and a patty and my wife had curry chicken. All of it was delicious and the portions were huge. The service was also great and the staff very friendly. I would go back in a heartbeat and so should you.

Best!!. Short and Sweet...the Jerk Pork is THE BEST..spicy..tender..full of flavor. I crave this place weekly. I've been to every Jamaican spot and none are even half as good. O town native, this place is a blessing!

Excellent food!. I visited this evening for the first time. The food was excellent! I purchased some beef patties, chicken curry, shrimp curry, and roti. Everything was very tasty and fresh! I will be sure to visit more often. The first caribbean place I've found located East of Orlando. I love it. If you want great Caribbean food, give them a chance, you won't be disappointed! The customer service was excellent too ... I'll be going back for sure!

The best Jamaican cuisine on the East side of town! I keep coming back for more every other week!

If you want the authentic jamaican feeling no it want happen here. Food is is good I didn't like the big mouth unprofessional young girl that takes your order. Don't argue with the customer when you mess up the order. They don't believe in air conditioner but the food I'd decent. Will go again only if the girl upfront is GONE!!!!!!!!

Really authentic food! Tastes great and the plantains are the best I've ever had.

Jamaican homecooked meal in Orlando. Me and my husband are from NY but he is is originally from Jamaica and It is hard in Orlando to find a great old fashioned Jamaican food being form NYC there is variety there. So since moving to Orlando we was searching far and wide for a Caribbean restaurant that closely resemble my husbands back home cooking. Im going to say this honestly I found this place in the search engine and was a bit skeptical , since we have tried other places that we've search for but wasnt to par. so we was skeptical of this place. So we decided to stop by and try out now if you can make a great oxtails with rice and peas we set. Well let me say this was by far the best place i have eaten yet. My husband was finally thrilled to have found a place that taste exactly how he used to eat it as a kid. The spicy beef patty was flaky and the meat inside was fantastic the coco bread was buttery it melt in your mouth. the red pea soup was to die for . they hit the nail on this place trust me if any one reading this Go you will not be disappointed. So for my anniversary i will be asking them to cater for me . This food will be the talk of the town, 5 star from me love the food . and the people was so friendly ad funny it has a place to sit down as well which my husband says its just like Jamaica. Great place a diamond in the rough

Hands down! Best in Town!. A friend of mine took us to this restaurant. He wanted us to try some of the food from where he came from. By the time we were able to find it it was almost closing time. The staff gladly accepted us right away. They recomended a few of the drinks they had. I had the guava pinapple juice. They also had a large array of sodas and adult beverages available from the Jamaica. I ordered the Goat Curry. I would have to say that it was the best food I have had on my week long trip to Orlando. The plate comes almost overflowing with food to include: curried goat, cabbage, red beans and rice and a couple of fried plantains. For only $7, this a steal for the amout of feel good food and atmosphere you get. My friends had the Jerk Chicken, Curried Chicken and Ox Tails. Their were absolutly no complaints to be heard except for the fact that everyone was filled to the brim. I would recomend this place to anyone and everyone who loves unique and simplehomemade island food that tastes like home.

Customer Service, Great Food, Great Atmosphere. No where else in Orlando treats people nicer. I have been twice now and both times the staff how you are doing? The amount of food is amazing and it is the best food for the best prices period.

Delicious! I had the curry chicken with roti and my husband had the jerk chicken. We'll be back. Be aware that the servings are huge--we could easily have split one of these orders and been satisfied.

AWESOME. Their patties are really good. Flaxy crust with spicy beef filling. I suggest buying a ting to go with it. Its a carbonated grapefruit drink that is sold in Jamaica. I've had the oxtail and its so good. My mom ordered it and I tried to steal it from her!
Bizarre Foodie
Nyam!. Marks has great food, atmosphere and service. We went for lunch, and they easily accommodated 10 of us. I ordered the Jerk Chicken and Beef Patties based on a recommendation and loved it. Some other lunch partners had various curries and Rotis. All seemed to enjoy their meals. The food is fresh and delicious. The Beef Patties were fresh, unlike another local Jamaican restaurant. I look forward to going back and trying the Goa Roti.

Mark's is the Best!!!. I placed an order 15min. before they were closing and they took my order and had it ready for 15 min. after they were closing.
