Love Sodo! I can always count on this place for a satisfying meal every time I'm in Orlando. The sushi is by far the best quality you'll find in this area---so fresh and delectable! The menu is unique and innovative with a wide selection of sushi, hibachi, and vietnamese entrees. Yes, you read that right---sushi, hibachi, and vietnamese. It's hard to imagine one restaurant doing all three of these very well, but Sodo pulls it off beautifully with chefs that specialize in each category. The ambiance is very pleasant, casual enough for a comfortable family meal and refined enough for a work lunch or client meeting. Noise level is low so a great place to have conversations and enjoy an amazing meal.

First time at Sodo Sushi Bar & Grill yesterday and we had a fantastic time! Great lunch specials! My husband got the hibachi. His rice was perfectly cooked and chicken was moist and had amazing flavor. I had the Pho Tai Nam and it was so delicious. The beef had good flavor and I loved the broth. We shared a sushi roll and the tempura on it was not too think it was light and crunchy. The spring rolls are to die for and my sake was delicious. We found a new sushi place and it is BOMB!

Loved it! Fresh sushi and ingredients. The miso soup was super tasty but little cold for my hubby's taste but perfect temperature for me! Ginger salad was great too! All of our rolls were delicious, but one thing that stand out was how amazing the rice was! I know it should not be the only thing to point out but truly the rice was superb! We will be definitely be back! You guys are a great addition to the SODO neighborhood!!

Visited for the first time tonight. Everything was amazingly prepared and tasted so good! Happy hour 5-7 makes a great value: only $4 each for a selection of drinks, apps and rolls. The manager came to our table to apologize that they were out of stock on the sake we wanted and then gave us some samples of others to try, very polite and friendly staff. Family owned and operated. The Juggernaut roll was my favorite. We will definitely be back.

I always have a fantastic experience at SODO. I have been for lunch, dinner, happy hour and mid-afternoon lighter meals. The items are always amazingly fresh and delicious, the sushi is beautifully presented and flavorful, and the prices are great for the quality of product. Definitely my favorite sushi place in Orlando.

Simple. Modern. Great. Quite possibly the very best Sushi Rolls in Orlando. Black Widow roll was absolutely delicious. Sat at the bar solo and had pleasant conversation with Paul - a tremendous sushi chef. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend the plum wine as well.

Lunch spot for me during the week. Cozy interior, good lunch specials. (Smaller portions) Have gotten the Pho to go several times. Make sure you check your items if everything is there. Packaging varies with Pho. I also love the Vietnamese curry. So simple and so delicious. Their side salad is so good, please ask for more dressing on the side. Soup is on point. I have only gotten basic rolls there. They were delicious. Outdoor dining is available. Service has been good the few times I have been there. Parking is a challenge, they have a garage that is shared with a few medical buildings and the shopping plaza. A few street spots if you manage to snag a few.

This sushi place is the best one I’ve ever been to. I ordered the JB Tempura, Spicy Tuna, and Mexican roll. Each roll was made to perfection. The service was good, they were very attentive. I’ve tried many a sushi restaurants across the US, and NONE compare. SODO SUSHI IS A MUST!

Ambiance is nice, it wasn’t busy on a Wednesday night. Food is good. I had high expectations for the yakisoba. My kids enjoyed the sushi. Overall, service was great.

I usually order the sashimi and the "gumbo", with a side of seaweed salad. The sushi quality is excellent, fresh and thick slices, they always have mackerel and it's one of my favorites. It's a bit pricey but good quality usually is. It's also nice that they have two large TVs above the sushi bar to watch sports and other programming.

Sodo was able to accommodate a large group of my friends and I for my celebration and did a great job with taking orders, giving out checks and the food was great! I especially appreciate the effort they put into clearing the tables quickly for our group photo! 10/10 would recommend!

Tasty food! Can not wait to go back and try more! I got a few of the starters instead of a full meal. I got edamame ($5), tempura sampler ($7), and firecracker shrimp ($6) All was freshly prepared and absolutely Delicious. The tempura was perfectly batterd and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the firecracker shrimp. The sweet Thai chili sauce was a great compliment to these light appetizer choice.

Service was alright, given that the server was a bit slow to bring out the food. Clean appearance and lots of upbeat tunes playing in the background - ambiance felt light and modern. Started off by ordering the steamed chicken gyoza. Very good appetizer, with the chicken pieces being moist and tender. Went with the SoDo chicken curry for my main dish. Unfortunately, the chicken was over cooked, though the curry was flavored decently. Too much oil was added, for my taste. Spice level was a bit conservative for medium level. Given the higher fare for this food, was not too impressed with the overall quality and level of preparation. Perhaps it would have been more ideal to stick with the sushi. For next time.

Fried rice here with the famous yum yum sauce is A1. Very nice place. I love the huge fish tank. The sushi was great and not crazy expensive. Not a bad place for the dollar and service was great. I even brought my dog and sat outside.

Great little spot for a sushi meal, particularly during Happy Hour each night (5-7pm). Many rolls and sashimi/negrini options are just $4 during that time. Our servers were very attentive and one of them took the time to show me and my daughter the proper way to hold/use chopsticks which was a nice gesture. I'm not a huge sushi fan so I opted for chicken fried rice - for the cost ($12), it could have used a little more chicken but aside from that, it was definitely an enjoyable experience. We went at just after 5:00pm on a Monday and at that time it was not crowded at all.

I just want to start by saying that this is our new go-to sushi restaurant. The atmosphere was casual, yet still nice and elegant. I was taken back by how amazing the food was, but I don't really know why I thought it would be any different. Sodo is known for its elegance. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant itself wasn't loud but still very airy and friendly. The food was hot and fresh when they put it on the table, and the price was amazing for the quality of food given. I took a chance, since I wanted to branch out in the selections of restaurants, and I'm so happy I did. We will be back!

This place is amazing! I haven’t had this flavorful Japanese food since my trip to Japan! This place is pretty spacious and nicely decorated. It has a nice quiet atmosphere. Sitting by the fish tank was nice! I ordered a Kimono roll and the Honey Garlic Shrimp. The kimono roll was pretty standard. It was tasty! The tempura shrimp was lightly fried and delicious. It didn’t taste like fry oil, which is a common issue with sushi with fried components. The Honey Garlic Shrimp is the reason I’m writing this review. Holy Shhh! This dish is amazing! The shrimp are grilled perfectly! The accompanying vegetables were deliciously cooked too! The fried rice was amazing! Not oily at all! It was deliciously garlicky and full of flavor! The white sauce here is the best I’ve ever had! I love garlic, and this had it!! This is by far the best Americanized Japanese food I’ve ever had!! I will be back!

This little quaint restaurant and bar was very nice and cozy. It wasn't busy at all therefore, we were seated right away. It has tv's are the bar (of course) and they were very clear. Andre, our server, was nice and friendly. He brought out water without us having to ask. I actually love water, so that was a plus. We ordered the tempura appetizer and it came right away. It was really good, just not enough😉. The food was also great (see pics), but what topped it off was the tempura cheesecake. Oh! My! That was DELISH!! Sorry, I didn't get a picture because it was too tempting. I'd highly recommend this place for lunch, happy hour and/or dinner.

Nice, casual environment. Many different sushi options to choose from. Varying spice levels and many fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the Poison Ivy roll. The Lychee sake was perfect for the ladies night dinner we were enjoying. The Pho stole the show for me! Decent atmosphere, prices and service!
