The chicken was very good and moist, it was tender and just fell apart with the touch of a fork. The German potato salad was DELICIOUS. Fast service, and amazing food. All 4 of us loved it. The ribs also were very tender and moist, the brisket was moist and delicious as well. Overall we loved this p
I was surprised by how great this was! My date and I ended up there after seeing huge lines at the few other places and man, I WILL be back. It is a small menu, but the service is fast, the prices reasonable and the food well cooked. Fella loved his brisket and the smoked pork was great!
This guy knows his barbeque. The flavors aren't nuanced, the meats are cooked just right and fall off the bones (when there are bones), and the sides are equally tasty. The restaurant is simple and clean with quaint decorations. The owner is a fun man who treats you well once you show that you are
The brisket was really good. The service could not have been worse. Walked in, no one said a word. There was one couple in the restaurant and me. I asked if I should just take a seat. The waitress said “The menus are on the tables”. I think that’s what she said, she was looking the other directio
Went here for the 1st time....have never put a review of a place, but felt the need to review this place. Hands down the worst bbq I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Ribs were overcooked, brisket was mostly fat cap, pork sandwich was swimming in bbq sauce, Mac and cheese was inedible. Ha
Over priced for quality. Greens tasted like someone dumped the whole salt shaker in it. Potato salad tasted like potatoes was washed in dish water. Pay 2.00 for a drink because no fountain. Ribs was dry and over salty. Definitely not worth the 20.00
It was just ok! I had the brisket sandwich, which was good, but there was hardly any meat. I also had the Mac n Cheese, which was terrible, I couldn't even finish it. I don't recommend going to this spot. There are much better BBQ places to eat. I highly recommend Jethro's in Des Moines, IA.
The food was ok but the decorations in the front window and thru out the store were dusty, dirty, and outdated. Both Big Ed and his wife look none too clean themselves. So naturally, you ask yourself about the foods cleanliness.
