I rarely leave reviews, but as good as Pad-Thai is I had to. Many times I have been disappointed when I have tried out a new restaurant based on Yelp reviews and this time the reviews are dead on. The owners are some of the most friendly restaurateurs I have ever met. They make you feel like family and are genuinely happy to see you.
I come to the Kansas City area monthly and since I have discovered Pad-Thai I never miss a stop here when I am in town. I am working my way through the menu and I have yet to find something I do not love. The name of the restaurant is a little deceiving, as there are so many different things on the menu that are spectacular.
Starting with the appetizers, I have had the Pot Stickers, fried and steamed, and I prefer the fried Pot Stickers. The Crab Rangoon are some of the best ones I have ever had. They are light, fluffy, and full of flavor.
The Pad-Thai and Pad Kee Mow are very good for their noodle dishes, but after trying other things on the menu I rarely get them. The Pad Prik is great on a cold day when you are looking for something to warm your soul. I like it Thai Hot and while sometimes spicy food can punish you and leave your mouth burning so bad you cannot taste the dish, it is not a problem with the Pad Prik.
If you are in the mood for seafood I suggest the Samui Scallops. The scallops taste fresh, not frozen. The pineapple makes this a very sweet dish.
The Pad Gapow is probally my favorite thing on the menu. The pork with a fried egg on top is a dream. I struggle not to get it every time it is so good.
My biggest recommendation is to try something you wouldn't normally order when going to a Thai restaurant. You will not be disappointed!
I think this place is going to be one of our favorite dinner places. The place was full when we got there so we were seated at the bar. My thinking at that time was - even if the food turns out to be great I think the service isn't going to be that great ( because the place was full and I didn't notice a lot of servers) . I was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazing and I have tried a LOT of Thai food in different cities, but the service was great as well. The food came out on time and our server was well informed and catering to our needs without being irritating. Overall - a great experience . I ordered the roasted duck dish and my husband ordered drunken noodles with tofu, we also ordered a pot sticker appetizer . I would recommend all the 3 dishes. If you're a duck lover you have to order that dish!
I was first introduced to Thai food years ago by the owner of Pad Thai. He owned a Thai restaurant in our small college town several years ago. I fell in love with Thai food! Since then, I have traveled the country and tried many Thai places in some amazing cities. Nothing ever quite compared to my first taste of Thai until IKe openened Pad Thai in Overland Park! Everything was delicious and tasted better than I could have imagined. I'm so happy Ike and his family are following their passion and making the world a better place one bite at a time!!!
Very good Thai restuarant. We ordered the spring rolls, crab Rangoon, Pad Thai with Shrimp and another with chicken, along with a Duck dish. All were very tasty and well prepared. The sauce with the Pad Thai Shrimp was a bit too much, though. I went for the mild spice and it was exceptionally sweet, which isn't a problem for me, but there was a lot of sauce. I would recommend this to all! Great service, too!
Wow! There are so many wonderful qualities about this wonderful place! The food is delicious and the quality is amazing. The service and staff are so personable and make going out to dinner the best treat!!
My birthday was the best with trying this wonderful restaurant for the first time and was amazed. Sen mee pad, chicken potstickers, tiger cry beef, pad gapow and pad thai for the child. Alot of food and the price was great too. You must come try if you have never been here.
Oh yes, and the coconut and mango ice cream was aaamazing
My favorite Thai restaurant ever! Their food is amaaazzzing. They have a wonderful staff and great service. I love the owners, they make sure you feel comfortable and theyre super nice all the time. Definitely would recommend this place to everyone! I always crave for their peanut salad and their pad thai
Best Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. My wife, kids an I love the food, ambiance and staff. They recognize us every time we go and treat us like family. I highly recommend Pad Thai. Thank you !
If you like Thai food this place is awesome. Customer service is second to none. You can't make a wrong decision off of the menu everything is delicious. One of our top restaurants in the city.
Great food, great service. I think we have found our new favorite Thai place. I am looking forward to the outside patio when the weather warms up.
Delicious food and surprisingly large portions. Mango sticky rice desert is must-try. Highly recommended!
Best restaurant I’ve been to in quite some time!!! Great atmosphere, amazing food, excellent staff/service, and the mango ice cream was over the top!!!! 5
My husband and I eat here or get take-out at least once a week. We absolutely love the food and adore the owner. Best Thai food and possibly the best food in KC in general. Always amazing, you won't be disappointed! I always get the Chicken Pad Sea Eew and my husband always gets the Beef Pad Gapow (not sure if I spelled that one correctly).
The food here is AMAZING!! And the owner Ann and her staff make you feel so welcome!! It's a must try!!
We love Pad Thai! The food is amazing but even more amazing are the people! Every time we come in we feel like family! Thank you for your love and thank you for great nourishing food!
Simple to answer... It is fantastic food, great service and the environment is small and comfortable/intimate.
Excellent! Tastebud heaven... my new favorite spot. Comfortable dining & friendly service. The lychee martinis are delish! :)
Super delicious Pad Thai (hot), must try with the lime squeezed on top!
My table also grabbed the shrimp pad see ew and a curry. They were all very delicious! The serving size is good enough to share with another.
Around the corner there is a dessert place called I Am. Perfect walking distance to finish off with dessert.
Stopped by on a short weekend away. The food was AMAZING!! The crying tiger beef was so flavorful and the noodles were to die for. It’s a cute little place and the staff is outgoing, conversational, and super great overall. I was surprised at how amazing this dinner was for the price point as well, definitely worth it.
A hidden gem! We chose to dine in and this place is cute! We started with the Basil wings and they were delicious. Usually wings are soggy when coated in a sauce but these still had their crunch and the flavor was great! The drunken noodles were delicious and cooked perfectly. Our favorite was the duck curry! The duck skin was crisp and caramelized nicely while the meat was juicy. The curry sauce has a nice sweetness that just brought everything together. We will definitely be back!
Brought my 3 year old with me to have some Thai food for late lunch. Staff was amazing and accommodating (brought our food out in carry out boxes so we could leave if the toddler mood took a turn). Food was excellent. Photo of the gorgeous Thai iced tea I started with. (PS - Have a picky kid? They’ll love the chicken satay and dip!!!!!)
Had an amazing time here tonight with my family. We shared a Tom Kha soup among the four of us, and I got a medium panaang curry with chicken. Other dishes ordered were pad thai (chicken and tofu) and chicken pad sea ew. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the portions were huge! Super friendly service too, and cool decor, all of which made it worth the price!
The crispy garlic pork, red curry and pad thai were amazing and seriously some of the best in Kansas City!! The drinks are so beautiful and tasty too. We loved enjoying all of this on the patio which is so cute and comfortable! Both the employees and owner are seriously amazing. You can tell the owner is truly passionate about every aspect of her restaurant, especially customer experience. Can’t wait to go back and eat more!
Delicious food. I ordered the pad sea eaw (hot on the spice level) with chicken. The noodles were nicely coated and al dente, chicken was moist, and the spice level was just right for me.
Absolutely delicious! Friendly staff and even better food. We got the drunken noodles and the Pad See Eaw, the portions are VERY GENEROUS and sharable. New favorite Thai place.
