Absolutely the best seafood ever and the staff are wonderful and so friendly. It's like coming home every time we stop in for dinner but someone ELSE does the dishes! :) Love the changing menu and variety of specials they offer. Undoubtedly one of our favorite places to go for good food with good friends.
TJ's Seafood Shack Food Truck attended a Lacrosse Tournament in Sanford, FL and the food was delicious! Everyone at the event was loving their seafood, fries, and especially the hush puppies. I eat a lot of fish tacos and both their shrimp and fish tacos and they were the best I had ever had! I would highly recommend TJ's for any event!
Great food husband had lobster roll, spicy shrimp and fried fish, green beans, I had Buffalo Chicken Blue Cheese Sub sweet potato fries, mom had fried catfish, coleslaw and fried okra, all of it was Delicious, will go back
The food was awesome and the staff is very friendly! We had the fried shrimp and fried fish with french fries, cole slaw and hush puppies. Will definitely go back and highly recommend it to others. A hidden gem!!

I'm in love! My first time eating at TJ's and I will definitely be back!!! I got the Talapia tacos and the flavor is amazing, can't believe I didn't know this place was such a hidden gem.
Great place! Friendly, accommodating staff. Reasonable prices and delicious food. Taco Tuesdays are a great deal with their fish tacos. Fresh and quick service.

I am with my husband on a business trip. Wanted a good seafood restaurant/bar that was family friendly. I found TJ's while driving around. Great choice. Fresh oysters were wonderful. Food was prepared perfectly and ample. Wish we were going to be here for another day to visit again.
Great service and atmosphere! The food speaks for itself! The Cod is always my favorite and it’s Shrimp and grits for my wife when it’s on special!! Must give it a try!

I was in Clermont, Florida for a couple of weeks and one of my college friends from grad school had just moved to Mims, FL. We found this in searching for a place between us to meet and one that had seafood…not the boil places or heavy batter like fish & chips. We went early, when they opened at 11: 30, and avoided the line to order. I was disappointed in my food. I asked what was not frozen and got Haddock, I believe, with fried okra as the side. I enjoyed the okra which was cooked perfectly and very tasty, but the fish did not compare to the seafood we had when I lived in eastern NC. My friend got the crab cakes, which were costly, and they appeared to be overdone. She also ordered black beans as her side (that must be a Florida thing…my daughter has a pantry full of black beans at her home there.). It was a nice place for us to visit and catch up with each other. After bringing our food, there was no additional table service. They were busy at lunchtime. I got a fountain soft drink, but it did not have a good flavor…probably the water was the culprit with that. We really enjoyed walking down to Songbirds, in the same strip mall, which had an interesting blue piano out front and ended up being a great experience for two people who majored in music and have spent our lives performing and teaching. It is a studio for children (and some adults) with dance, art, music lessons, books and instruments for sale, as well as an instrument repair shop. The owner gave us a little tour and she herself was also a voice major in college. We strolled up to the little boutique in the strip also. We heard several people say that the fish tacos are the best thing on the menu, so if I return, I will try those.
Hands down the best fish fry in the area. Locally owned and operated. It's the quality of the fish and the corn meal breading. Goes great with their hush puppies. Another amazing dish they make. AllI u can eat Wednesdays is the best time to go. I have only managed to eat three fillets, you'll understand when you see the fillets. Definitely add this place to your "places to go" list.

Great Food, I had protein bowl with salmon. It was healthy as well as tasty. Worth a visit. I am glad the joint is only few steps away from my stay. I would love to try other dishes and wish to return.
So yummy and family owned.. fast casual style where you order at the counter. Dining room closed due to COVID, but we have been going for more than a year now and can promise that the experience in the dining room is great too. I love that you can choose different styles of cooking within the same dish. Definitely recommend.
Good fish, nice atmosphere, and very friendly and quick service. This would be a great place to go all the time - if you can afford it. It seems there is always a reason to charge me a lot more than I expected. But maybe it’s just not a great place to eat low carb.
A quick Google search after landing at the airport got us TJ's! Cute place, excellent customer service, amazing food. Loved the alligator bites and lobster rolls! Devyn, thank you for making us feel at home! Looking forward to our next visit!
Chill, laid back atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and the food is fresh.
Clam chowder tasted great and was a pretty sizable portion. It was a bit grainy which was kind of expected considering it's authentic seafood, but was still somewhat unpleasant.
If you are looking for a traditional, Maine lobster roll this might not be my first choice. However, their take on the lobster roll - which contains a mix of lobster and fish - was still pretty filling and delicious. Customer service was great!
Overall pretty good. Food was good, service was great and atmosphere was good. Prices were fair. There was nothing bad or anything amazing that stood out. Worth trying out for yourself.
We like this place for fried seafood. It is reasonably priced and the food is consistent. You order at the counter and they deliver to the table. It was busy and noisy inside for lunch on the Saturday that we went. There isn't anybody waiting tables. You go to the counter for additional items.

Hello, Ms. Mary. I’m sorry for my misunderstanding.
When you checked me in the restaurant, I thought it wasn’t a big deal. Then, driving back to my home, I had the idea of ‘Chinese People’. My husband and I talked about the name on the receipt in the car. My thought process was did she assume our name must be difficult to pronounce? She could ask us, at least.
Anyway, I apologize for my misunderstanding and review. I’m happy that I could try other menus now.

I had a shrimp bruschetta and my husband ordered a surf and turf burger. Food was great but my receipt was strange. My name is 'Cpl Here'? The beautiful girl who got my order didn't ask my name. Assume if she had asked and my husband or I didn't answer, she could ask again rather than writing 'Cpl Here'. My husband was standing near counter about 20 minutes. She had chances. She called many people's name. If I guess that's a 'Chinese people Here', am I going too far? Apparently, my husband and I were the only Asians in the place.
It's just sad that I couldn't have the same service like others because of the way I look.
I had the gluten free protein bowl with salmon.
It was pretty good. Salmon was done right. The portion was perfect and the taste was awesome. It was a little warm inside but they had just opened. The waitress was nice and answered my questions about my meal. I would definitely recommend this place.
Great food. Came on a Monday since kids eat free. My daughter got a cheeseburger and fresh fruit and loved it. My son got chicken tenders and fries and ate it all. I got the catfish meal and it was awesome! This will be our spot Monday nights if i don’t feel like cooking.
Amazing seafood at the right price. We checked this place out after seeing some good reviews and it did not disappoint. The price was right and the food was good. Our appetizer came out only 5 minutes after ordering and our food 10 minutes later so not a lot of time waiting. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Great food, good prices in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. We were traveling with a friend who wanted seafood while in Florida and TJ's delivered! Lots of choices ranging from wraps and sandwiches, specials on tacos and beers to platters of delicious seafood. Inside or outside seating is comfortable even in the summertime. Service was excellent with attentive staff and fast delivery to our table. I had the shrimp platter with fried ocre. The shrimp were large, lightly breaded and rivaled anything I have had in a coastal town. Check this place out, especially if you are in or around the University area. Thanks for a great seafood meal!
This place is an absolute Hidden gem. All of their food is great and they serve locally caught blackened Alligator! I never liked hush puppies until came to this restaurant.
I didn't plan on writing a review for this place and taking pics of the food bc I was super hungry when I got there, but when the food came out I knew that I had to!!...This is a very good seafood place...Everything we ordered came out fresh and in a timely manner. The prices are fair for what you're getting and they have a good 2 fish taco, plantain, beans & rice, and a soda special on Tuesday for $6.99 and all you can eat fish on Wednesday for $9.99...Everything we tried had an authentic flavor and tasted great so we will definitely be back to support bc there's not a lot of authentic seafood like this in the city...It's family ran and the owners were there and super cool!! If you go definitely get the fried shrimp po'boy!!! Everything was good but this was our favorite!!
I took my mother here and we both absolutely loved it. Very cute place with excellent food and counter service. My visit would have been perfect if I was told they were expanding into Clermont!!!!!!!!
