Just had dinner at Owego Steakhouse and it was really good! We ordered the Strip Steak and Dual Lobster tails and both were cooked perfectly! We really enjoyed the mushroom risotto!! We also split the lava cake dessert and it was warm and delicious!! They lost a star because we both ordered the mashed potatoes and they were horrible. They were bland and the only flavor you could taste was garlic. Plus, they were a really off putting brown even though the menu says it’s red potatoes so I’m thinking they were overworked and definitely something I would avoid next time. Overall, we would recommend and will be coming back!
Quiet relaxing atmoaphere, great food! I can enjoy pasta, pizza, Scallops Bang Band, or an excellent steak - whatever I'm in the mood for!
Love this place . . . Quiet & Relaxing just what I needed. Just gotta say this place rocks out the Alfredo sauce and the Scallops are Phenomenal! Fantastic prices on wine in the bar & great fun drinks!
Absolutely fantastic! The prime rib was cooked to perfection, the flavors in the chicken dishes were spot on, even the salad tasted better than the usual salad. The flaming Greek cheese was delicious, and the presentation was flawless. I would have to say the service was the best I have experienced in a long time, thank you Kyle! This evening was definitely off the charts great and I don't feel like that even gives it enough credit. Great job!
My experience at Owego Steakhouse was excellent. I had the Prime Rib, with sides of asparagus and baked potato. Our appetizer was the bacon wrapped shrimp. It was all fabulous, especially the Prime rib, which was prepared perfectly. It was surprisingly large enough that I could not finish it. My daughter sure was happy when I brought home such a large piece of steak for her to enjoy, which she did.
The staff were incredibly friendly and provided great service. They were busy, but took great care of our small party.
As far as pricing, it was what I expected from experiences at fine dining restaurants like Lampy's and the Number 5. There were some high ticket items, which I don't order, yet I assume like any menu they are there for those that want them and can afford them. My meal was certainly worth the price. My next fine dining experience will again be at the Owego Steakhouse.
Great food, menu includes several steaks, seafood, and the Greek chicken wrapped in filo is awesome! Bacon wrapped scallop appetizer excellent. Service, view, and atmosphere perfect! Sides are also great! Dessert selection was a bit small tonight.
It's pricey: steaks from $28-60; three people $122 bill, with one half-priced glass of wine and no dessert. Great place for a nice meal in Owego.

The food is amazing! One of the best steaks weve had in a while! Cooked excellent, and the servers/hostess/host were amazing! We ordered take out but they were really nice! And it looks really nice inside too.
Stopped by opening night. We couldn't believe how good the steaks were. I had the prime rib, and the Mrs had the filet. It was so tender it melted in my mouth. The portions were huge! The staff was really friendly and the renovations looked great! Definitely going to be returning!!
Beautifully situated on the riverbank, this establishment creates an atmosphere for both casual and fancy romantic dining. The owner is a very friendly and passionate about his work.. Plenty of delicious menu options and a full bar to meet your needs.There is plenty of parking available as well. Overall, I would highly recommended this joint.
Me and my wife were in town for the weekend for a graduation party and we stopped by for a steak dinner. We ordered the tomahawk steak dinner with two different appetizers ,I had scallops wrapped in bacon they tasted simply amazing. In fact all the food we had was absolutely delicious and cooked just the way we wanted and more food than we both could eat, and service was excellent and the bar tender made a excellent mixed drink ,could expect anything less, 5 star steak and 5 star service in a small town steakhouse, I have paid more for a steak of lesser quality in a big brand steakhouse.
Not being familiar with Owego, we decided to give Owego Steakhouse a try since it was close to our hotel. We sat in the back and watched the sunset over the river. My husband had “the BEST alfredo” he’s EVER had and I enjoyed a moist and tender piece of salmon. Service was exceptional and we ended up visiting the bar on the next two nights we were there, just to spend time with our favorite “mixologist” Jesse (who is a show all by himself) and the owner Leon. Their prices reflect the quality of their food. We would make the drive from Syracuse JUST to visit again😊
Always amazing. This was our second visit to Owego Steakhouse and both times that we have gone, the food, the alcohol, the environment, and the service has been excellent. Despite a limited menu due to COVID-19 (which many restaurants have done), everything was great. We will DEFINITELY be back!
The food and the service was absolutely perfect. I would recommend this great restaurant to anyone. Bang Bang Shrimp was incredible. The filet mignon was delicious and so tender I could cut it up with my fork. Add the beautiful view and it doesn't get any better.
