First time there this evening. Went with some friends and I have to say the food was amazing. The wings are the best around that I have had and the Ribs are just to die for. The service was fantastic also. Was a nice surprise. I will most definitely be returning. I do believe I have found a new hang out. Highly recommend.
I've always liked this place, so we went for football. Lots of tv's and excellent service, even being so packed. The food is AMAZING! Smoke-fried chicken wings were delicious! I had hot garlic, and it had chunks of garlic making them even better, lots of flavor! The BBQ nachos, chicken wrap, sweet potato fries, and peanut butter pie were tasty as well!
My wife had pulled pork nacho salad it was a very healthy portion and could have fed 2 people. There was plenty leftovers. I had the smoked chicken wings whch are quite unique they were awesome. Oh can't forget the appetizer onion petals with a good sauce infused with what tasted like horse radish. Our server a blonde haired girl ( forgot her name) kept our ice tea cups full and took good care of us. She new her stuff and was very good at her job.
This is my go to place. Always something new to drink. Food is always great. The staff is friendly and inviting. 5 stars isn't enough for this place!! Go immediately!
Excellent good and great selection of Beer. I recommend getting the smoked wings. They are the best.
First time here I actually live only a mile and a half from there food was incredible and prices very very reasonable!! Had the BBQ egg rolls and they were phenomenal!! Would definitely recommend your establishment and will definitely be coming back!!
2 nights in a role!!! And can’t wait to visit in April! Excellent service, excellent food, and excellent place!
Great place to watch the Patriots good prices great server's
Nice Clean Wing Place. Smoked wings are great and the Guinness is served to temperature.
Best smoked wings. Terrific selection of craft beers and the best smoked wings!
Smoked fish dip appetizer is yummy. Pulled pork ROCKS!! Great smoky flavor and enjoyed BBQ Bourbon sauce with it. If you like sweet potatoe fries- these are cant miss!! Cinnamon, powered sugar and honey make these better than fair food!
One of my favorite places to meet up with friends. Must order the smoked wings! They are afflicting and don't even need any sauce as they are that flavorful. They just need to bring back true 2 for 1 happy hour drinks and I would go more often! Great waitstaff as well.
Good food, slow service.. The food here is great! I usually get their fish tacos, and my hubs gets the boneless wings. They have a huge selection of beers with cool names like the Dirty Bastard! They have amazing sweet potato fries!
The only thing wrong here is the super slow service. I've been to BB quite a few times, I always thought it was because they were busy. However I've recently gone at slower times where there was only a few patrons in the bar and service was just as slow. I resorted to ordering my drinks 2 at a time because OT takes so long for the waitresses to get back to you.
Overall great place. I'd rather go here and support local economy then go to a place like Applebee's.
We loved this place, I truly wish I lived closer. HUGE place and so many beers, you will not get bored. Food was good I say that as the appetizer we got BBQ egg rolls were fabulous, I mean next time it will be my meal, delicious. The BBQ Nachos were good, but could have used more BBQ flavor and or meat, kinda tasted like plain chips- sorry will not get again. My husband got the Philly cheese steak made with Guinness beer, it was very good, but it is only 6" so not enough for him. In their defense the menu I believe stated this.
Not your average pub!. Went here originally because of the EXTENSIVE beer list, but discovered the food goes way beyond normal bar fare. Excellent food, excellent beer- don't be put off by the location, this is an delicious establishment and we will be back!
SO good! Best BBQ in town in my opinion. Also the sweet potatoe fries are amazing. Service is always friendly and attentive. I go here whenever I get a bogo sandwich coupon from giving blood
Not Snobby / Not Redneck. This place is great! The atmosphere was a lot better than I expected from it's location. Very clean, and has a large dark wood bar with glasses hanging down over it. I had the pulled pork cuban, and it was the absolute best cuban I have ever tasted, although it could have been little larger. They have great blue cheese dressing too, everyone knows that the dressing can make or break a good buffalo wing, and Broken Barrel has a great creamy blue cheese dressing. It is a good place for all us 30 and 40 year olds to hang out and have a cold draft. They have an extensive beer selection. This place is a definate, 'must go' if you are in town. Will definately visit again.
Great food and even better service. Probably the best part is that it's one of only a few sports bars for non-smokers. Can go and have a great evening play some pool w/o coming home smelling like an ashtray.
We loved it! Ribs were great. Brisket was great. Sweet potato fries were yummy. Fries are yummy. Onion soup was yummy. Service was great. We will be back!

Wow! First time dining here. We loved selecting our beers from the printed beer menus got a kick out of the descriptions. For example: Bud Light: We carry it. ... Kelly's Irish Cider: A local favorite, brewed with 4 different traditional apple varieties." Ha! We had the pulled pork platter with broccoli & and potato chips and the ribs basket with sweet potato fries. Yum! The mustard BBQ sauce is awesome. We split the Godiva cheesecake for dessert. We will definitely be back to play pool and sample more beers!
Great Beer and BBQ. I have been here several times. The beer selection is the best in town and fairly cheap compared to what I have seen throughout south florida and orlando for craft beers. I have had a few items there. Most of them are ok. I am very particular about certain type of BBQ. The pulled pork with the Carolina sauce is amazing. The cole slaw is also fantastic. I have had several out of towners join me here and they also enjoyed it. Great place for BBQ and Beer defnitely.
I've been here countless times Great Food, Great Beer and Cocktails! Sit at the bar if you can, better service. The carrot chips should be taken off the menu! Try the Barbecue Nachos!
Not a fan of the atmosphere, but the food holds it to a like, their wings are great.
Great taste hidden in a strip mall. The Broken Barrel food menu is as diverse as the beer menu. This being said, I have never had a bad meal here. On my last visit had some of the smoked wings, with some sauces on the side. The wings are amazing enough that the sauce is not something anyone really requires.
My favorite remains the brisket sandwich with a side of blue fries. They fries are a homemade potato chip with some blue cheese on top of them (hold the garlic please). The brisket is moist with some crisp edges on it.
Wings and Drinks. I ate here only once but I had to mention the wings. You have the option to have them grilled which is pretty unique and for those looking to cut greasy fat out of their diet, this is an option they will appreciate. The server was attentive and he did a great job considering we had something like 10 people at our table and we were not his only table. Plenty of drink selection as well.
Good but.... They do a great job with their BBQ. It's not fast food; they take their time making the BBQ authentic. The beer selection is great.
My only problem is the way they rinse their glasses. It's not unusual to get a beer poured into a glass with a 1/4 oz of rinse water in it. I either dry the glass before they can pour a bottle, keep my old glass, or watch/ask them to dry the glass before pouring a draught beer. It's a shame to serve a great selection of beers and muck it up with how the glasses are cleaned.
The beer selection is phenomenal! Good BBQ for a good price.
Best smoked meat in town, great selection of beers. import/micro drafts rotate quickly,
definitely try the smoked wings, and the smoked turkey is the best I have ever had.

Best BBQ in town. Brisket is terrific. Smoked wings are unique. Beer list is outstanding.
Good Beer, Great staff!. Love the BB! Great selection of micro brews and beer from around the world. Waiters/wairtresses are always friendly. Great pub fare menu (try the Mahi tacos).
Visit and samole some brew (stay away from the bud light for God sake).
Will Return. We finally were able to stop in and try BB as we've been hearing it has a great selection of draft beer. Well, they do! Around 40 (?) or so I believe, but if I'm mistaken, more than enough to keep one happy for awhile.
My husband and I opted to go for a sampler platter for our first time around and tried the wings with jerk (great), the carrot strips, (ok, but wasabi sauce great) and cheese sticks (mozzarella). The sampler platter was good, I'd give it about a 6 out of 10. Next time I would try something else. The beer; Dog fish IPA, draft was quite good. Nice and cold AND served in a cold glass. Nothing I hate more than to have a nice, cold beer served in a warm/hot glass. But the Broken Barrel Tavern did not do this, thankfully.
The menu looked interesting and was reasonably priced. I also liked the fact that we were given sheets that listed the beers available on tap with a description and price of each.....very nice touch.
Service was good and more than helpful. We will certainly be back!
The absolute BEST pulled pork sandwich in Florida. Try it with the Carolina sauce.
Pretty Good. Only eaten at BB once, for lunch. The food was very tasty, and the service was great. I plan on coming back.
OMG the best BBQ ribs ever they melt in your mouth! No sauce yummy!!!!!!!!
It's a sports bar with great barbeque. We has the smoked turkey and brisket sandwiches which were great. The turkey was real smoked turkey ( not processed turkey "loaf" served at chains ) and it was moist, tender and delicious. The brisket was intensely flavorful and so yummy ( though a touch too oily ). It came with a side of au jus that was reminiscent of French onion soup with an added layer of red wine. We tried the bourbon and carolina mustard sauces but found them a bit over powering. The BBQ beans and cole slaw were worthy sides. We didn't try any but their beer selection looked serious. We'll definitely give them another try.
Repeat Customer. I have been twice since discovering this watering hole last week. The food is delicious. Barbecue ribs were tasty both times but the second time we at there they seemed overcooked - the bones were soft. They were not at all unpleasant however. The barbecue sauce is a bourbon based sauce that zings with a spicy alcohol taste and heat. The ribs themselves are so tasty it is hard to put on the sauce. Since I liked the sauce so much... it is a great dip for the delicious buttered Texas Toast. One entree - the Guinness cheese steak sandwich was good, but the other things on the menu would prevent me from ordering it again. Sides are delicious. Sauteed vegetables are highly caramelized and very tasty. The Asian potato salad has a great soy-ginger aftertaste. Fries are homemade Chips that could use to be cooked a little longer so as to be crispier. The sweet potato fries (not chip style) drizzled in honey, cinnamon and powdered sugar are fast to go - very delicious. The beer selection is a Floridian's dream. 41+ beers on draft and only 3 American lagers... come on and try some tasty Alagash Brewed Ales or my favorite Spaten's Franziskaner Dunkel. The bottled beer list covers 23+ pages and will not disappoint the adventurous. Highly recommend Broken Barrel Tavern!
On the recommendation of a coworker, I ordered the smoked wings (x8). Taste was on par with other smoked wings, not overpowering, not underwhelming. The wings were tender but a little on the dry side. My sauces were Habenero Honey and Hot with Garlic, nothing special to report. I also ordered the Chip Cut Cheese Fries, and I DO NOT recommend them, nacho cheese and very chewy. Service was excellent, along with time to table.
The Broken Barrel Tavern-4700 Babcock St. NE, Palm Bay, FL 32905
3.5- Stars
The Broken Barrel distinguishes itself as an unfussy tavern, offering homestyle barbeque (including meats smoked on-site). The tavern is located just inside Palm Bay Center.
I had previously reviewed Broken Barrel, in my pre-Big Boy days. On that occasion, I had assessed a four-star rating. In the present, my appraisal will be 3.5-stars, owing solely to the enduring strength of the smoked wings. Incidentally, Abby is our ofitsiant qiz.
Upon further review, ordering barbeque first thing Monday morning is likely far from ideal, as the pulled rib meat maintained a mushy texture and possessed a lethargic consistency. It betrayed the telltale aroma of a microwave reheat and presented as subpar fare, likely the product of yemeless indifference. Despite the admittedly woeful pulled rib platter and indeed standing in stark contrast, the eight wings were most delicious. These were perfectly smoked, exceptionally tasty, and reminiscent of a caliber and quality that would allow them to be just as delectable, if eaten cold tomorrow.
Big Boy Says, "Skip Monday's leftover barbeque and go straight for the wings."
This shopping center and the outside of this restaurant look like they need a little TLC, but if you judge it by the outside, you'll miss some great food. We sat at the bar. Brian was a great bartender and server. He is so knowledgeable about their foods, drinks, and bartending in general. Very friendly and relates to all customers (including the kinda annoying/loud group next to us).
The fries (all kinds), onion pedals, wings, and chicken strips were delicious! My husband also liked the BBQ rolls.
We had our company get together here on Friday night. The staff was very accommodating to our group. I did not catch our servers name but he was amazing! We kept ordering multiple appetizers throughout the time we were there. He always kept checking out drinks and took every additional order with a smile! Thank you so much for allowing us to have a great evening!

The BEST BBQ in town. And we're from Texas. We love the atmosphere. The ribs are my fav. I ordered 1lb to eat there and a second to take home. My hubby likes the chicken wings. The sauces are all great, too
Thus is a super place to grab lunch or dinner. The meals are tasty, the portions are the perfect size and the wait staff are on top of their game. When you visit be sure to try some of their BBQ. They have a large menu for all tastes, and a great drink menu.
Tried all you can eat ribs, but waiting 15 mins for 3 ribs was not worth it! Made our Anniversary dinner a sour moment
I stopped in to try their smoked and smoke-fried chicken wings. Word of mouth in Melbourne and me wanting to sample this treat had me purchase 8 wings of each flavor. The smoked wings were a light smoky flavor and the smoked-fried had the better taste to me. The selection of draft beers was a nice selection and the bartender was courteous and provided great service. I would recommend trying their wings so you can decide which ones you like the best. Washing them down with a flavorful draft beer is what I am talking about.
As far as restaurants go in that strip mall Babcock south of Palm Bay road. Chili 🌶️, Burger King Got. Better too.... The broken barrel is a nice restaurant and it's a good place to go to and enjoy a meal it's less hassle, and it's kind of old school that you talk to you treat you like a person. And I met the owner and nice lady and also the staff. Call up and ask for all-you-can-eat Saint Louis style ribs I believe it's Wednesday after 5 pm, I'll call anyway and make sure they didn't sell out exact good...👍
Great place for a meal.
This 7300-square-foot facility is located on the southwest side of the Babcock and Palm Bay Road intersection. It is in the center of the long strip center with stores on the north and south side of it and a parking lot directly in front of it. You enter to a dark interior. There is a pool table area with several tables to the right, a bar directly in front of you, and the main seating area to the left past the hostess stand. I arrived with a group and we entered to a sign that stated, “Seat Yourself”. The eating area is a mix of tables and booths lining the wall. The main seating area is a large area. We chose a table by the wall. The waiter came to give us menus and take our drink order quickly. We ordered on separate checks and the waiter was very accommodating. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and an iced tea. The food came out quickly and was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. I plan to visit this place again and highly recommend this to my fellow travelers who are hungry and want a good meal.
I have loved this place since they opened, amazing smoked wings, bbq and sauces, fish dip and blue fries are also some of my favorites. Had to pass on the bread pudding omg look up a pic of that thing lol, so good.
You've got to try the ribs. You won't be disappointed. Fall off the bone yumminess. Our app were the mozzarella sticks. The pièce de résistance was the sampler and the ribs. The sauces were delectable. I'm not a spicy fan so loved their Bourbon BBQ. We returned a second time for lunch (ribs are only available after 4 😔 and only until they are sold out) so I tried the pulled pork sliders, BBQ beans and a side Cesar salad. They make their own salad dressings. It was delicious. So if you're looking for a gem while visiting Melbourne, stop in and give them a try. Covid conscious? They also do take out
If you like salad as a meal, you have to try the salads here. I had both blackened chicken and smoked turkey salads. My friend had the Mandarin both times. Chef kiss to all! The best value and taste for a salad. Highly recommend. Also, the wait staff is so friendly and attentive.
This BBQ joint is ok to good. They have trivia nights, bingo nights, and great ribs. I don’t like vinegar based bbq sauce so I’m going to leave that judgment to those that do like it.
The Rub on the ribs was fantastic. A very well balanced blend of Smokey, heat, and tang that was very nice on the palette. They pulled clean from the bone, were tender, and juicy. Definitely recommend the ribs.
The country style green beans were bland I’m afraid. I saw plenty of onion and bacon but it didn’t come through in the flavor profile.
An odd thing about this bbq place is they only have brisket on certain nights. Wasn’t happy about that because that is a staple bbq item where I come from.
We did enjoy the cheesy fries which again had a seasoning blend on them, but we found it a bit salty for our taste.
One of the best things we actually got here was the Ranch sauce. And by best I mean WOW, bottle this and sell it. My wife said it was the best she has ever had and she is all about ranch dressing.
The apple sauce was to die for as well. Think of that pie filling that comes in fritters (I mean really freaking good fritters), blend it up, and serve it in a bowl and you got the general idea.
All in all we wouldn’t mind going here again but it would definitely not be topping our lists.
Attended a club gathering. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was excellent and atmosphere jovial. The prices were reasonable too.
My office had a rep bring in lunch from BBT and they did not dissapoint! We ordered 16 individual lunch orders with special instructions, substitutions, etc. and each meal was perfect. The entire office was in agreement that BBT food and prep we all perfect and on point. I love this place! Thanks guys for our lunch yesterday you did great!!
I love this place my friend and I have been here twice for lunch and the food so far have been great. The staff are very efficient and friendly. I had the blacken chicken Caesar salad it was so good and they give you enough for the price. This will definitely be our go to place for lunch.
I've tried multiple dish at this restaurant and they were all great! Really good food here and the service has always been good
