Fabulous margaritas with smooth high quality tequila. Authentic Regional food with perfect portions n the best warm salsa. Family restaurant filled with the best food, drinks n people. Lots of shrimp dishes and fresh fish n delicious meats n the best carnitas💕💕
It's the best restaurant in the desert. Guillermo himself is there all the time and is always warm, gracious, and friendly. The food is to die for and the wait staff (mostly family members) are so nice. Can't recommend this place enough. You gotta go there!
The best food and the service also I'll recommend it to everyone
It's like a high end French restaurant serving Mexican cuisine without the pretension. Some of the best food I've ever eaten. Anywhere. We are only out here for a week but we are definitely going back.

My first time there! Very, very good food! The owner welcomed us, checked on us and invited us back!! I will go back!
great meal, great service. these are good people to dine with
We did not have reservations so we sat at the bar. Wonderful service and delicious food. Be sure to get reservations. This place is popular for good reasons.
We have been going to Guillermos since it opened. The food and service are wonderful. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant with rice and beans loaded on every plate. This is fine Mexican dining. The seafood is always wonderful, the carnitas are unparalleled. Try the molcajete. We have taken many friends there and it has become our, and several friends, "go to" restaurant.
One of my favorite places, excellent food, great margaritas, excellent service.
Best Mexican food I have ever had. I can’t wait to go back and try something else.

The best Mexican food in the desert the prices are very reasonable. The staff is outstanding. Ready to serve...
Great meal while vacationing with girlfriends in Palm Desert and the Paloma cocktail and warm salsa, was amazing! Primo!
One of the best Mexican restaurants ever. Food was fabulous!
First time at this restaurant, made a reservation, good thing to, it was very busy on a Thursday night. The service was great and very, very friendly, everyone at the table thought their suppers were absolutely delicious, highly recommend dining out here whenever you want an excellent Mexican cuisine.
Our friends had been to this place several times. One friend called in advance to get an order of Molcajete. The restaurant said sure, even at lunch when it was not on the menu. It was tasty stew like dish in a big stone mortar and pestle bowl. I got to taste it and I will order my own bowl when I return. My food was more simple but it was tasty. The Mexican beer choices were also good. Definitely, a fun place.
Definitely NOT out of business ... Gr8 food .., gr8 service... Fresh .., clean ... generous
Great fresh food with delish margaritas. As another reviewer stated the chips and guacamole is fantastic.
Upscale mexican. Great menu The guacamole is best ever - fresh and chunky The limes are squeezed every day for the margaritas. Guillermo and his family have made this restaurant a dining experience
Very good food. Nuff said
We've been coming to the area for 15 yrs, sorry we never ran across this place before. It was delicious. We had the Carnitas Plate and a Shrimp Dish, Margaritas were great.
Carnitas were on point, tender and full of flavor.
Regular Salsa was OK but we like it hot and ask for hotter. Their spicy green salsa was perfect.
I have had a lot of friends recommend this restaurant, so we decided to try it out the other day. I have to say I was a little disappointed. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. We were seated up against what appears to be an abandoned bar that they no longer use with foot traffic going past us all the time. The rest of the dining room was empty, but they insisted on sitting there. The wait staff was very attentive, but I don't think it warrants the value in the pricing that they want for their dishes. We had the carne asada plate, and the chili relleno. The carne asada plate was just flap meat. Again, it was good, but not great.
The chili relleno was better than normal, but you can't order it with any other options like tacos or enchiladas. And to reiterate, the food is good, not great. Atmosphere was pretty "run of the mill".
I have eaten at Guillermo’s many times and always look forward to returning. The restaurant is comfortable and gives you the feeling that you are in a restaurant somewhere in Mexico. It is a family owned and family run restaurant that prides itself on not only good food, but excellent service. You get both while dining here, sitting there sipping on your favorite beverage enjoying chips and freshly made salsa, waiting for your dinner.
Guillermo’s is normally busy, so reservations are recommended. The menu provides you with many difficult choices as to what feast you will enjoy for the evening. No matter what your choice the food will be delicious. So if you are looking for good Mexican food with a comfortable, festive atmosphere, I would highly recommend Guillermo’s.

Great place to host a 20-25 people gathering in their private dining area. We just had our company's holiday dinner and both the service and food were excellent! 10/10 This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in the desert. All the food is amazing. I had the filet mignon with manchego cheese and chile guaillo pasilia sauce. It was the best filet mignon I have ever had. It was perfectly cooked. You need to try the skinny margaritas also! They were perfect. The entire service staff were all so friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. I highly recommend this restaurant 100%.
Loved the fish tacos-light and delicious. The salsa and chips were hot and fresh. My husband ordered the nachos with carnitas and they were delicious! Oh… and the flan was so tasty 😀. Will go again!
Amazing experience! The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. The skinny margarita and tres leches cake is a MUST! This is the place to go for authentic central Mexican food!
Great food, excellent service and nice atmosphere. Got a nice dessert for a birthday after telling them one of our party was celebrating one. Authentic Mexican food and drink. Highly recommend.
Always the best food and service. We took my mom here for an early mother's day lunch.
Thank you, Melissa for the awesome margarita (double shot)! Best neighbourhood restaurant, dog-friendly outdoor patio, amazing back bar. We will be back soon w/our neighbors!
Amazing family owned Mexican restaurant! If I could give this place 6 stars I would. All of the food and salsa was fresh and so flavorful.
If you're in the Palm Desert area and need a good Mexican restaurant, this is your spot.
Fellow vegetarian foodies, make SURE you try the calabacitas (zucchini) dinner dish made with Oaxaca cheese & seasoned with cilantro. I've never had a zucchini forward dish prepared so well.
FLAVOR FLAVOR FLAVOR!
Everything was cooked to perfection and came out QUICK.
The carne asada was packed with flavor and not dry at all.
Portions were perfect.
Servers are attentive and responsive.
The owner came out to greet the tables with a friendly smile :)
Would definitely recommend every time
Always love visiting Guillermo's when we visit Palm Desert. We were seated, but it looked like we were forgotten about and had to go looking for a server! Once that little issue was solved, food and service was great, and they gave us a desert on the house for our inconvenience .
When I walked into the restaurant I immediately felt welcome. The service was amazing and the staff was so kind. They made it feel like we were apart of the family. After a short waiting period, the food showed up and we were all suprised on the level of detail and taste of the food. By far the best Mexican food I have ever had.
This place was so good, my family had to return a couple days later and see if it was the same. With no suprise this time, the food was amazing again and the service was even better. I absolutely loved this place. I will make it my mission to return to this amazing establishment when I return to the city.
Great place to take the family out for dinner. The food was good and the service was excellent. The portions were good. Its a little pricey but I was not disappointed. Its a Mexican style food with an American twist. Kinda reminds me of El Torito Mexican restaurant. I had the Ribeye steak, my wife had the chicken taquitos. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly. The wife in the other hand said the taquitos were soggy and not crunchy like others she has had.
WOW...what a great restuarant! We found Guillermo's by accident. We were craving good mexican food after an afternoon of shopping at the mall and Guillermo's was right across the street. Wonderful atmosphere, great wait staff and fantastic food that goes way beyond your traditional "American" mexican fare...their food is truly traditional and authentic! EVERYTHING we had was absolutely fantastic! Every item on their menu in made in-house, with the freshest of ingredients; cooked with the healthiest food, oils & spices. Wonderful! Not to be missed! Oh yeah...and they have happy hour and a great bar...
Best Mexican food I have had in the desert. They spend the money to do it right. Fresh ingredients, hand made salsas, sweet and sour, etc. excellent margaritas and tequilas. This place is a step above all other Mexican restaurants.
First great menu selection, not your run of the mill Mexican. My wife had spicy snapper and it was so tender and flavorful. I had Pork Chili Verde, did not disappoint either. Had great service except no water service, odd. Great booze selection.
