Our customer service experience was excellent. From getting drinks at the bar while waiting for our table to the table side visit from Mitch himself. The oysters on the half shell were fresh, the sushi roll was mouthwatering, not one complaint from our party about the Dover sole, the sea bass, or the shrimp fettuccine. Plates were empty. One would think it would have been a no to the scrumptious show stopping chocolate ice cream cake desert. Thank you Mitch’s for the great dinning experience

My wife and I took our two friends to Mitch's on El Paseo for a special dinner. We were all very impressed with the food and the service. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor patio, and we were seated in a comfortable table. The menu has a wide variety of seafood dishes, and we all found something to our liking. We ordered the lobster bisque, the grilled salmon, the seared scallops, and the lobster tail. The food was all delicious, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. We had a wonderful time at Mitch's on El Paseo, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience.
Here are some of the things we liked about the restaurant:
* The food was delicious. We all loved our entrees, and the sushi was especially good.
* The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed.
* The atmosphere was nice. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor patio, and we were seated in a comfortable table.
* The prices were reasonable. We were able to get a delicious meal for four for a reasonable price.
Overall, we had a great experience at Mitch's on El Paseo and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience.

Love Mitch's. The best food and drinks. The scallops were so soft and tasty. The best chocolate martini that I have had in a very long time. The outside dining was so lovely. I highly recommend going if you are in Palm Springs/Dessert.

Tonight, we dined at Mitch's on the El Paseo and Portola in Palm Desert. The place was packed! Outdoors we noticed a great beautiful white bougainvillea, which aren't that common. We've been many times here. There were five of us dining tonight, sitting outdoors in the evening. A bitter wind came up, and we all got chilly. But then they turned on these beautiful heaters. And we suddenly noticed that all the booths were lighted up and had been recovered in a new delightful, fresh print. Our waitress, Mallory, who we've had many times before, was her usual cheery self. Small complaint, despite specifically asking them to time the courses, they came on top of each other, and we did feel rushed. Our host bought a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio (See pic), which was excellent. It wasn't Silver Oak excellent, but very nice. For starters, the other guests split Caesar salads, our host had his favorite soup, "French Onion". He noted they put chives in which is abnormal, but he thought tasted ok. I had the Caprese Salad, which was beautifully presented with Heirloom Tomatoes and Burrata cheese. The burratta was not as smooth as in past but still yummy. For entrees, the host ordered the duck and thought it was delicious; his date had an enormous pork chop (See pic), which was served with potatoes and green beans. She said it was on the borderline of being too well cooked, but was ok. The other two guests both had the filet mignon, which I double-checked was cooked a true Medium Rare. I had two orders of sushi, California roll 6 piece, and Crunchy Tempura (also known as a Carburator Roll) 12 piece. Couldn't eat the CA rolls and took those home (too full). We declined dessert & coffee but I took pix of the menu. Enjoy!

All the dishes we ordered were excellent. The sushi rolls full of flavor, the scallops were perfect, the sole melted in the mouth. I wish this place was closer to home!

Every single thing about my special birthday dinner at Mitch's on El Paseo was top-notch! My parents out of state sent flowers for the table and their experience in working with the folks at Mitch's was as enjoyable and smooth as our dinner was!
Emily was our server and there simply are not enough words to describe how her fantastic attention to detail made our dining experience the best we've had in years! She was attentive but not hovering, she knew the menu and wines well and was very helpful and knowledgeable about the gluten free options I needed for my food allergy. Her help in choosing a wine was so fun and easygoing while being very informed.
The food was amazing! Every one of us loved our meals. We came early and lingered and were never pressured to leave to turn over the table.
I had read so many reviews at different restaurants and there seemed to be so much inconsistency. It is very apparent that the leadership at Mitch's takes the time to not only train staff well but to treat them well. We'll be back and definitely telling friends in the Valley (and visitors from other states) about this gem!
Thanks Mitch's for a fabulous birthday dinner experience on your gorgeous patio! :)

Probably the best restaurant I've been to, the service was great and the food was even better. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and my wife's Alfredo was exceptional. Will be visiting again. Be prepared to open your wallet, but it's well worth it.

This place has the best Sea Bass I've ever had in my life!! It melted like butter in my mouth, oh my goodness it was so delicious. The staff here are very friendly, attentive, and efficient. Also the honeymoon oyster were just amazing wow, nothing like it! I wanted to kiss the chef because the food was just so delicious! I 100 percent recommend this place you will not regret it! I believe they have an option for everyone. Wow! Wow! Wow! I can't wait to go back here to eat.

Good food. Great service and valet. The flies are the only reason for 4 stars, but they do what they can to help. Very old Hollywood vibe.

The perfect trifecta, fresh well prepared and presented food, friendly informed professional service and really nice friendly environment starting with Mitch. It’s been our favorite go to restaurant in the Coachella Valley for some time and it’s very consistently great. We have often had the same food because we just love it, but last evening a gentleman next to us had the duck and it looked so good I almost asked him for a bite. I’ve committed to trying it next time we are there, which I understand won’t be until the first Tuesday of October. That’s the only bad thing about Mitch’s, is that their not open during the summer.

Holy moly.. Sooo Good! Ambience to die for.. Delicous food.. Try the Sushi! Our server, Esmiralda was so attentive and friendly. Can't wait to come back!

By far the nicest and friendliest restaurant I've had the pleasure of going to. Best food anywhere. Just loved it.

Outstanding service & some of the best sushi in the desert, not just steak & seafood. They took excellent care of my large group, service was on point! Spectacular wine list & happy hour too.

Mitch's is a place for family and a place for single and couples to love.
The bar is excellent and hapy hour is packed with the crowd that let's you know they are having a great time. The outdoor patio and restauant is expansive and relaxing, with the beauty of a zen garden. Food, did I forget, food is excellent.

I have eaten lunch at Mitch's before but this was my first dinner experience. My partner and I ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and were not disappointed. The pork shank was a hit with my partner and I enjoyed the halibut. Great ambience, friendly staff and excellent service. We will be back!

The food was delicious. Scallops and prawns with risotto $32.00.
Seafood linguine $32.00.
A bottle of house white wine, $39.00.
All in all great food and atmosphere.
Negatives
Portions very small.
Watch for hidden charges.
And lastly, our friends ordered sushi. Presentation was excellent. But, we could not have ordered sushi to a table, unless some of us were ordering off the dinner menu. WHAT? Even though all the tables, but one plus ours, were empty. REALLY?
I don't plan to return.

Mitch the owner! What can I say about the guy? Well he greeted us immediately, made us feel welcomed in his establishment, all around cared for his customers and treated us more like personal frienslds or family. Our server Chris another top notch gentleman and the food was excellent!! Thank you and we will be back for some more!!

On of my favorite restaurants, Mitch and Melissa do an excellent job of making everyone feel welcome. The jalapeño roll is a favorite as well as the 808 Roll. The patio is beautiful and the menu offers delicious food from sushi to steaks and of corse to Seafood ! Andy loved the stuffed shiitake mushrooms 🍄 he said his absolute favorite.
Joanne O'Connell
My husband and I had dinner out on the patio on a perfect evening and were treated to delicious food and gracious service. The shellfish sampler and paella were simply excellent and the molten lava cake, served with a flourish, was a party on a plate. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable but has a special occasion feel. We look forward to bringing friends.

Mitch's tacos were delicious! One was steak which was tender and flavorful...the other was chicken. The seasoned fries that came with them were really crispy and delicious! We also had the edamame and Chinese chicken salad. Everything was great!

Spent the weekend in Palm Desert 🌵 with my better half! We did the happy hour on Saturday night all I can say is we will be back! The food was excellent and the wine went great with everything we ordered! Great music was a bonus

Definitely, the restaurant you don't want to miss! Best menu, but I especially love the Sushi! Great for casual in the bar or enjoy the perfect night sky's on their expansive tiered patio. Always a exceptional experience!

My first time at Mitch’s, 4 of us for lunch. Very pleasant and professional greeting and an excellent waiter in Eric. The menu is very much the same as so many other restaurants, dull and uninteresting. Food was OK but nothing exciting. Eric was the key to me giving 3 Stars.
Cyndi Morrone Ranson
The Pinnacle of Restaurants on El Paseo! The service was excellent. The Wine selection was superb and every course of the meal was perfection. The Ora King Salmon was delicious along with the New York Strips. The finale Peach Crisp and the Chocolate Dome were both a great way to end a night to remember! The outdoor dining under the lights created a very nice atmosphere and started the evening out just right!
Tina West Manack
By far the best food and service in the desert. My husband & I eat there a couple times a week. Mitch, Melissa, & gang make us feel like family. We had my 50th birthday party there this past week and everyone raved about how good the food and service was. Thank you guys for always treating us so well.
Dominic J. Nicosia
The atmosphere and food was great. They have a great happy hour menu loaded with some great food options. You have to try the jalapeño poppers.
