We personally have ate at Mastro’s in Beverly Hills several times, Mastro’s in Malibu and Mastro’s in Palm Desert twice. They have never disappointed us, the appetizers are delicious and the entries were cooked to perfection. I have never had a bad experience here and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a first class Steak and Seafood House.
Always a great meal. Steaks are so flavorful and the shrimp cocktail succulent. The service is impeccable and the wine list is devine! Oh... no matter what, get the butter cake!!!!!
Really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Mastro’s last night. My steak was amazing....so tender I think I could have eaten it without teeth. Great salads, great sides and that yummy chocolate cake they brought over for our anniversary was the icing on the cake....literally! Can’t wait to go back!
Always a nice place to visit, whether it is just for cocktails in the bar or a superb dining experience. Birthdays are the best, I had a fillet, lobster tail and chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was fantastic!
Mastro’s in Palm Desert exceeded our expectations. We sat at our favorite place for an evening out - at the bar. The service was superb as usual. We shared a Filet or should I say I had a few bites of Jeff’s Filet. I enjoyed 1/2 of my huge baked potato and spinach. The Justin Justification by the glass was a perfect accompaniment to our meal. The music was enchanting and a great pairing to Mastro’s classy atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
Went there for a birthday and had a great time kristi was our waitress and she was amazing. Made the experience even better. Amazing food, worth the money.
Wow our first time here but definitely not the last. We loved everything about it. The service was was incredible along with the exceptional food! Loved the dry ice martini and the butter cake is a must! Can't wait to come back!!! Thank you for making our night perfect!
The best Steakhouse ever! Hands down. We have been to many Steakhouses, but Mastro's tops them all. My wife and I grabbed their summer fixed menu for $65 ea. Appetizer, entree, 2 sides, and a dessert ea. Great deal. Everything was awesome. Can't wait to go back.
Great Food, great service, great ambience
Carlos Bartender provided us great service, Rebecca GM was very thoughtful by stopping to introduce herself and check on us, great job!!
Excellent food and service! Wonderful place to celebrate our special occasion 😃 The butter cake is divine.
Location, food, service, bar and music all amazing. Love that place.
Excellent service. They are always attentive and make the visit special for us.
Food is delicious.
The fried rice is INCREDIBLY GOOD.
Lemon drops are to die for!
Their Butter cake is the best.
Their steaks were perfection - well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are on the high end, but the food and service are worth it.
Mastro's, what a better way to treat yourself, service outstanding, food stunning. You can not get enough of this place. The butter cake is an absolute most. Sit back, relax, and let Mastro's do its magic, you won't regret it.
The Ponderosa Running Springs
+5
The welcome was gracious. Meal was spectacular! Shared Ribeye Al la Carte, brussel sprouts & garlic mashed potatoes. Service was stellar! Very efficient. Try the Butter cake or cheesecake for desert.
Street parking and valet available.
Mastro’s in Palm Desert California is a 5 star steak house with excellent food & drinks. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff was amazing going out of their way to make sure your experience was memorable. I had the petite sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak was cooked to perfection. My wife had the sea bass which was excellent. When your in the Palm Desert area and looking for a good meal give Mastro’s a look.
I never heard of Mastro’s steakhouse before. Someone told me about this place and I checked it out. Definitely recommend this chain.
We ordered the following items:
1. Crab cake - Yummy, definitely try it
2. Pretzel bread - had two of those. Delish
3. Wagyu 8oz filet mignon - Never had a steak like this ever before. Wagyu is definitely buttery and tender
4. King crab fried rice - not a big fan of it, no one in our group liked it
5. Grilled Brussels sprouts - delish, definitely order this side
6. Butter cake to end for our dessert - Yum!!!
A group of us from LA celebrated a birthday on a Saturday night. A perfect location for a special dinner. I had the Chilean Sea Bass others had the Petite Filet. Everything was delicious! We sat in the lounge and enjoyed the piano player and singer. Service could have been better. The table next to us who arrived after us, got bread before us. Nevertheless we will come back to hear our favorite performer Jojo.
Mastro’s doesn’t disappoint no matter where you go. This one in the desert is great, including the nice dining area, excellent service by the staff, very well cooked steaks at the right temperature, great timing of drinks, appetizers, main entrées to dessert. Whether you are coming in a group are just having dinner for two people. You will have a great experience at a fine establishment. Mastro’s also does a great job of making sure you feel welcomed and make you wanna come back again for another great experience.
My experience was very good. The ambiance with the live music was a great touch. Food and drinks as always were very good. As for the staff, my party thought the hostesses up front could’ve been more friendly and welcoming. Also, our waiter jumped right into his monologue instead of introducing himself (still don’t know his name).
Back to the food, I recommend you start off with the French Onion Soup, it was fantastic. You can never go wrong with a filet and your choice of the crab legs or lobster, we chose crab legs and loved them. The chocolate cake was good but I think the butter cake is the best dessert on the menu.
I enjoyed my spicy margarita and silver Paloma. My girlfriend enjoyed her Aperol Spritz and vodka lemonade. An espresso martini with dessert is definitely recommended, perfect way to wrap up a great meal.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I had a reservation at 6:00 p.m., upon arriving I was greeted and sat in a very timely manner. The table was set very elegantly, and the atmosphere was that of what one might expect an elegant steakhouse would be. Within a matter of minutes I was greeted by my server Jessica, who was very upbeat and friendly, well versed on the menu, and more than inviting. I ordered the A5 wagyu Japanese, cooked black and blue, as well I ordered the asparagus, the mushrooms, and garlic mashed potatoes. I did have a cocktail as well, the chocolate salted caramel martini which was very flavorful and more than sufficient as a cocktail. There was about as long of a wait for the food to be delivered as one might expect, I would say no more than the time it took to cook all the dishes. The steak was placed in front of me, which looked cooked to perfection, the side dishes were then displayed for my approval and then dished for me onto the plate. I can say it was the greatest steak I have enjoyed ever, cooked perfectly. The side dishes were not only fresh, vibrant, they were also a perfect compliment to the stake. The asparagus and mushrooms, tasted as if they were just taken from Farm to Table, with both cooked to the point of being tender yet still had a very slight crunch one might say. The garlic mashed potatoes we're seasoned with just the right amount of garlic, and whipped to a creamy yet palatable texture, again it complement to the steak as if they were born to be together. Throughout my enjoyment of the meal, Jessica was more than attentive to any needs I may have had, be it another cocktail, a Refresh on my glass of water, or just to make sure everything was to my liking. For dessert I had the cheesecake, which arrived again not only promptly, but a portion more than sufficient for one person. On the plate with the cheesecake there were an assortment of fresh berries, again with that Farm to Table taste. An exquisite experience, meal, and customer service. As well the gentleman who was providing table service was very friendly and courteous. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the gentleman providing the table service but I must say his customer service was on point and stellar which complimented the service Jessica was providing and did provide. I can say if you are ever in the Coachella valley, near El Paseo, it is a must to visit this establishment as you will not be disappointed. Be advised there is a dress code, but it is to be expected for the High Caliber establishment it is. I will definitely you returning, and recommending this establishment to any and all I encounter. Thank you Jessica, and the other gentleman for providing such great service, and my compliments to the chef for an exquisite meal. 10 stars in my book!
Fantastic experience here. Loved everything. Their seafood tower was spectacular, and the sauces to accompany each fish were delicious. Their sides were absolutely mouthwatering and excellent with each main dish. Excellent filet. This was a great place to celebrate my husband's birthday. Absolute must. Do note, it is pricey, so prepare your wallet, Lol
Very nice restaurant my first time there pretty packed the food is higher then the average meal of course so if your not trying to spend 100$ for a plate 200$ or more then do not go there but besides that the food was ok the water was great
Amazing atmosphere with live music. The food is great but the services is a bit weak. The server we had and few Staff don’t follow up orders. We finish our meals without being ask for another wine, dessert and more orders to have. The place is best in town. Overall the spirit and steak restaurant got good ambiance
Four of us dined at Mastro‘s Saturday night, and had the pleasure of Kurt serving us. Everything we ordered was fantastic and Kurt made really great recommendations and made sure we were ordering exactly what we wanted plus more. The martinis were out of this world along with the Wagyu steak and the shrimp cocktail. Kurt made sure we couldn’t leave without trying the warm butter cake and my God it was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. Could have skipped the lobster mashed potatoes and oyster Rockefeller though (our picks). Highly recommend dining here. If you’re in the area it’s always a world class time. They also had live music which was a treat. Thanks Kurt!
Every time I go to this location the food is excellent. We went to celebrate my birthday last night and got the Shrimp cocktail, Jumbo lump crab cakes, and the Oysters Rockefeller for appetizers. For the main course my husband got the 32oz Wagyu Tomahawk and I the 8oz Japanese Wagyu with the garlic mash potatoes. The Wagyu just melts in your mouth. Everything was so delicious and the service was top tier. I really enjoyed myself and will be back.
