Wow Armando’s!!! It’s been a few years but happy to have come back!!
Best CIMICHANGA I’ve had in the valley. Great portion size. Cool bartender Juan took great care of me.
Until next time!! Muchas gracias!

Beautiful location with outdoor seating along the street. We got lucky and they had one heater still running on a night that got a little cooler than expected. The food was delicious! I tried their tamarindo margarita and my wife has their classic margarita. Both were excellent and I'd say the tamarindo was my favorite so far...make sure you get the tajin rim vs just salt.

I love Armandos! Moved out of state and we come back whenever we're in town. For me it's the crispy tacos which I just can't find anywhere else. It's all so good!

Popped in for a mid-shopping drink then met brother n dad for lunch at Tommy Bahama's WHICH WAS PACKED so my friend louise n I convinced them to go back to Armando's for lunch!! Wait time was 5-7 mins for outside seating. Staff are Exceptionally friendly, helpful, and positive!
Chips & Salsa while were a treat with our drinks as we waited for our lunch.

Be it from me to write a bad review on this most glorious of days - Labor Day! Armondo's boasts one of the best locations, and a superb staff. These are the reasons to visit.
Tremendous praise and admiration for those at Armondo's, and everyone in the service industry.

Nice place to have lunch. We were driving by and stopped on a whim. Not disappointed at all. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Great place to sit and people-watch.
I had the grilled salmon tacos. Salmon was seasoned perfectly. Had a nic3 grill. Assembled tacos were delicious. Came with rice and beans. Finished the tacos and couldn't finish the rest. So much food.
Chips and salsa were excellent. Nice flavor and the right amount of heat.
Definitely go there again.

I have avoided this place because the reviews run so good/bad, but our restaurant was closed unexpectedly so we ended up here and had a very good dinner.
Best tamales I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Very good Cadillac margarita. Good chips and salsa.
The service was okay...not spectacular. But the food was delivered hot, which is most important.
I'll go back now that I know the food is good.

I’ve been looking forward to eating here since the last time we visited Palm Desert. Strongest margarita in the west. Ask for “training wheels” aka extra margarita mix if you want to water it down. So good!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great location with indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent food dishes and drinks. Full bar with street parking.

Best food. Best service. Best Margaritas on THE PLANET 💯
It's my favorite place!

Very popular, no reservations. Got there early and loved the staff, good food greatest Margherita-- only have 1!

We love Armandos... unfortunately, getting a table is now difficult. Service is not commensurate with prices. We may be done as customers. Thanks for some great times.

Came here in the afternoon. Sat on the patio. Most tables had "reserved" signs but they were all empty. Anyway I had the steak fajitas and they were perfect! My wife burrito she said it was ok. The margaritas were really good, outdoor patio nice with the mist machines

On every trip to our 2nd home in the desert my wife & I always eat here at least once. The food is slightly overpriced, the food is slightly above average, the service is always good, but get ready for it, the margaritas are great & will knock you on your a%% (we generally order one drink, drink 1/2, then ask for it to be topped off with more mixer - never received any pushback). Strongly recommend reservations..

Best in the Desert. Excellent service and incredible food. The fish tacos are the best in town, Nachos are also incredible. Make sure to ask for Fajita Chicken! Super strong drinks too. Always our first stop when we land in the Desert.

Disappointing.... This restaurant has a great location and ok bar...but the food is practically inedible. It used to be good, but apparently they lost their chef and the recipes left with him!! I've ordered the fajitas twice recently and had to throw it out. No flavor at all and poor quality of ingredients. How this can go on, I don't know...but as I say, it's a good location. Same goes for several other items my family ordered. We all had something different, and no one was able to eat much of any of it. Very disappointing!

Always my first stop when I arrive from New York. Food is consistent and nothing beats sitting on the patio in the heat with the misters. Try the flan!!
Morgan
Too Pricey for Mexican. The location is nice, but this restaurant doesn't offer any better quality mexican food than the local joints around the desert. Its way over priced for what your getting. The service is meagar. You are paying to sit on El Paseo and its just more or less a middle age pick up joint. So go if that's what you are looking for over priced Margaritas and a date go to Armando's.

Food & Car/People Watching A+++. Love this sopt on El Paseo!!! Taco Salad with the shredded slow cooked chicken has my vote!!! The salsa has great flavor & the right amount of heat! LOVE the patio!!!!

In 30 years (including college fraternity days), NEVER had a margarita poured that strong! Basically a huge glass of (good) tequila and perhaps they waved a lime over the top! Food was GREAT too!!!
Kelli
Not normally a review writer but this place was so bad I had to. The taco salad was very bland. I had to use two bowls of salsa to make it have any flavor. The fajitas were average at best. We did not have any margaritas, so maybe that is why we thought it was lousy!
Frank Shaw
Frank Shaw. Where's the beef? Went for dinner, don't drink. Had Carne Asada and Steak Picado. Picado was very chewy and poor quality beef. Asada was too thick and overcooked. Seems Mr. Armando has cut back in quality and put his money in his liquor. If you stick to the mundane Mexican dishes your safe, but don't get fancy.
Maybe that why most customers get bonkered on the margaritas so they don't have to taste the food.
10/15/11

Over priced Mexican Food. Its okay but your really just paying for the location. It feels like a pick up joints so be on the prowl. The Margaritas are potent so plan on only having one.
Ivan
My kind of place!. Armando's reminds me of Rodney's Oyster House in Vancouver, BC. Down to earth and not pretentious like yoiu would think because of the area it is in. Tasty food and killer margs...watch out if you have more than one margarita, lol.
Jennifer Pope
Outstanding!. We tried this restaurant while on vacation after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. They do not use any lard, so it is veg*n friendly. The portions are huge, the menu options vast and unique, and the prices reasonable for what you get. I don't even like tequila and the margarita was delicious. We will definitely go back next time we're in town.

Gr8 Margaritas...very good service...gr8 bar atmosphere ...very good food
Jay
Instant Hang Over. Cheap liquor & flavorless food
Roger Dibble
Armandos Bar. Pay attention to the three margarita limit (two for women) as that go-go juice works!!
Keith Linn
The very beat fajitas that I have ever tasted. Solid service and reasonable value as well.
