The Real Italian Deli is by far the best place I've come across in the valley since moving from Laguna Beach! The sandwiches for lunch are incredible & the assortment of products on the retail side of the shop are nothing less then fabulous. Bravo to the owners! Had my first sandwich there today. Awesome! Had the luchese. Chicken with sun roasted tomato pesto. Delicious food and friendly staff. Definitely recommend and ill be back.
Authentic Italian food items! Love this place. Staff is cool. Bakery & deli do a great job making delicious sandwiches & desserts. Market has imported Italian items. Come here once a week regularly!

Absolutely loved the pizzas. Super thin crust. Perfect tomato sauce. We keep 3 frozen pizzas in our freezer at all times.
OMG and their Lasagna was a 10.
Reheated a piece this morning. It is so good and on par with our favorite Lasagna from Mozza in LA.

We ate here 4 days in a row for lunch while visiting PS/PD. That says it all.... I wish there was a Real Italian Deli by me.
Absolutely incredible place. I try Italian sandwiches wherever I go and this was as good as any I've had. Bread was fantastic and ingredients all top quality and so fresh. I'll be a regular from here on out. Great service as well. Ordered online and walked out with food 15 mins later.

I love the muffuletta on fresh focaccia. Comes with a green olive spread with a tiny kick on the top half and the bottom has a tasty black olive tapenade. The deli meats are piled on with fresh, creamy cheese and the sandwich is finished in a panini press. Amazing! They also have fresh made salads and Italian foods to go like lasagna and penne. The bakery turns out amazing breads and authentic sweets. They carry Italian groceries and in the freezer section they have fresh tortellini, ravioli, pizza and more. Great food and open 7 days.

How did I miss this place for the last two years? WHAT A GEM in Palm Desert, an Italian deli that is really Italian. We discovered it two weeks ago and have already been twice.
So let's talk about the deli part, and sandwiches. These will knock your socks off, large, full of meat and on bread; oh God the bread. Not some soft fluffy tasteless everybody does it bread. Real, crusty, full of flavor bread. Made for you, heated in an oven or press. Oh so good. Our favorite to date is the meatball. Oh, try it you'll like it.
Did I mention the bakery? Yeah a real Italian bakery, full of real Italian treats, made that day by a baker that started work at 2am. And breads that have all the texture of real bread, crunchy, tasty. Italian ice cream.
How about pastas. Plenty of those, dry and fresh. Shapes and tastes you are not likely to find at Ralph's. And prepared dishes like meat lasagnas and pizzas to take home. Oh my you have to go. Olive Oils, Olives, sliced meats.
During the COVID they have taken a portion of the parking lot for tables and umbrellas. They have cold beverages. Why are you still reading? Go, now.
Wonderful torpedo roll sandwich. We ALWAYS get the Genovese with fresh mozzarella and olive tapenade. All ingredients are fresh and tasty.
First vist to the Palm Desert location. This has a little bakery as well as a deli. Also Italian canned food, pasta and candies from Italy. Sandwiches are excellent and the bread is wonderful. Took a baguette and some nice pastries home with me. Definitely going back.
At the PS location, the staff is great. Courteous and helpful. At the PD location, which is significantly bigger, the staff can be a bit aloof.
Nonetheless, the items available at both locations are enjoyable.
Amazing sandwiches! We had the toscano, and turkey pesto sandwiches and they were delicious. Very reasonably priced and good portions. The deli got busy but they did a great job keeping the line moving and getting people their food.
We also grabbed some desserts from the real Italian bakery that's in the same building. We got tiramisu and this berry tart with currants, strawberries, blackberries etc. Also incredibly delicious!

This place has some phenomenal sandwiches, the bread and ingredients are always delicious the sandwiches are made to order and the drink section is stocked with good drink choices. I have been here multiple times and haven’t yet been disappointed.
