I live in San Diego, and visit my friends in 29 Palms, every time i come up there i take a detour so i can eat their sushi . Its FRESH, reasonably priced and they are not skimpy with the fish. So if you are looking for an amazingly delicious meal this is the place to eat, service is great as well.

If you’re looking for Omakase tasting experience, I’m highly recommend this place. It is truly a unique, special dining experience. Jessica was my chef, she’s really creative, prepared each dish with care and precision. Their fish is so fresh and expertly prepared, and their chefs are highly skilled and passionate about their craft. The atmosphere at The Venue Sushi is also top-notch, with a modern and chic interior design that's perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner date. In addition to the delicious food and the friendly staff, Omakase at The Venue is definitely a visual feast, with each dish presented in a beautiful and artful way. It's a dining experience that's not to be missed!!!

~ Omakase ~ Cocktails ~ 12/10 Service ~ We reserved the Omakase experience for 5:30 on a Friday evening. The restaurant was just opening and we were met at the front by John who was a hilarious and very welcoming host. As the restaurant was fairly empty, he gave us our pick of table and recommended a nice, quiet, romantic spot outside. Once seated, Mila, our server brought us cocktails which were amazing. We started with the Kyoto Sour and the Flor Picante both of which were refreshing. Mila explained that if you make reservations for omakase, the chefs will shop for fresh ingredients that day and create new special dishes for the dinner service. The omakase is constantly changing as well which makes every experience unique. Over the next three and half hours we had a magical experience with delicious small plates and the best service I’ve had at any restaurant. Mila brought us each course and then described everything we were about to try. She was never far away and often would stop to chat with us and answer questions about the dishes. The highlights were the toro, scallop crudo, truffle pasta and escolar sashimi. We ended the night with a raspberry sorbet and a chocolate truffle ice cream. Mila also brought us champagne as we were celebrating my birthday. Overall, the three and a half hour omakase was perfect and the service was the best we’ve had. Big shout out to Mila & John for making the night one to remember! I would 100% recommend The Venue!

Ooooh this place is so cute! I got the sandwich roll because I saw the reviews on it. It was decent. My boyfriend got the Phili tempura roll and I liked that way better. We sat outside and had a beautiful view and a cute touch lamp for the table. Next to the heater and they had a blanket at the table. It was a great experience.

I’m not a sushi connoisseur, and am usually easy to please, but food was not my favorite. I really only liked the soft shell crab cucumber salad and edamame, but I’m going to try again because the atmosphere, comfortable seating and attentive staff make it a perfect spot for a leisurely meal chatting with friends. I chose this sushi restaurant as they were the most well informed about vegetarian and gluten free options over the phone, and they were very helpful in person as well.

A trifected of wonderful food, amazing service, and a beautiful atmosphere! Had a reservation for 6:15 for 4 and was promptly seated and told to take a look at the 'social' offerings, which are their happy hour specials that go on until 6:30. immediately ordered cocktails, beef gyoza(WOW), soy beans and cucumber salad. Food was SO tasty and such beautiful presentation. Next we shared the baby langoustine which we all LOVED! And finished with the tempora California, which is served warm with the most delightful crunch. Our waitress Mila was one of the best servers we've ever had! Her attention to detail and guidance with us being first timers really enhanced our dining experience. The entire staff quite honestly were professional, friendly, and attentive. This place has a large outdoor seating section with plenty of heat lamps and an intimate interior and bar seating. We will be back!

The Venue had most definitely the best sushi I have ever had in my entire life. Pictured below are the "Experiment" and the "Venue Roll", and trust me, they taste better than they look. We also ordered the "Scandinavian Roll" which we ate too quickly to snap a photo... The Venue is a tad bit on the pricey side, yet regardless of what you order, it will surely be worth it. Pro-tip: if you are looking for something to start off your meal, I would also recommend ordering a starter dish of chicken gyoza.

Very tasty melt-in-your-mouth sushi. Friendly, attentive service. Nice outside patio. I would advise making a reservation as it tends to get busy…

Amazing sushi and pretty reasonable prices considering it’s in the middle of the desert! Yessica is a sushi artist, I lived in japan for 2 years and have never seen sushi that looks and tastes as good as it does at the Venue! Smallish pretty intimate venue so I’d recommend a reservation for a weekend night or during big events.
