Good selection on ice cream flavors. They also have shaved ice on their menu, along with other goodies to choose from. Service was good and fast. Ice cream flavors we got were okay, nothing special. It was a great treat for all the family during the hot summer days. There is plenty of parking available on the lot.

I was so excited to see Lappert's near where I was staying. They've got a huge variety of flavors including ones I've only seen in Hawaii. I really enjoyed the shave ice with ice cream in the bottom and if you pay in cash you do receive a discount.

Very clean store with a fairly large assortment of ice creams. I have the regular size dole pineapple something. It was good taste like pineapple but it was a bit pricey at nine bucks for a regular size cup. The store is sanitized very well-maintained and the staff is friendly. They even help the woman that rolled up on her golf cart but couldn’t come in so they gave her curbside service. Very colorful a decorated.

My family and I LOVE Lappert's ice cream! The flavors are great, and it's the real deal made with actual cream, not a 'frozen dairy dessert'. They have lots of options, and the Dole Whip is so refreshing on a summer day!

The treats here are absolutely amazing. The location is clean and the service is quick. Whenever I go, there's always the same employee and he is very friendly and provides excellent service. However, my only complaint will be allowing people to lounge inside eating while they wait for their party to pay. People should go outside to eat while other patrons wait in line. It was uncomfortable to be inside a small space with over half of the patrons not wearing masks or keeping their distance, especially if they're eating their ice cream right next to the utensils and huddling in a space designated for patrons to wait in line to pay. Very frustrating. Returned on a day and time that wasn't busy and all was well.

Crazy Delicious ice cream and frozen treats. It's a perfect quick snack stop on your cross-country road trip. Kinda pricey, but the quality is top-shelf. "Desert Dessert"

This is the spot if you love ice cream! Lappert's is a Hawaiian brand and this location offers several flavors, many with a tropical theme. You can also get Dole Whip here as well as date shakes with dates sourced locally. Customer service was friendly and my order was delicious- highly recommended!

The ice cream, açaí bowls, mangonadas, & ice cream cookie sandwich is always a must.

Hawaiian-inspired ice cream & shave ice. Was first introduced to Lappert's at Koloa, Kauai. We were regulars at the Poway CA branch, until they closed permanently. Had to visit the Palm Desert CA branch recently. The Kauai Pie ice cream was as I remembered. Kauai Pie coffee grounds are also available, but in Hawaii.

Back again, but at this other location. I was almost going to get another date date shake like I did when I was at their Palm Springs location, but I decided to try out some ice cream. Nothing like some good ice cream on a hot Palm Desert night.
ITEM'S ORDERED:
I went with the 3 scoop to share with the gf. Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel, Macadamia Nut & Kona Mocha Chip.
TASTE:
All the ice cream was creamy & the portion was a good size. I'm a big fan of how all the flavors had lots of their respective ingredients in it. Such as Macadamia Nut having plenty of full size nuts.
I was more impressed by Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel & Kona Mocha Chip than Macadamia Nut. The sea salt flavor works very well with the sweet ice cream & makes for a good balance. It's not one of those salted caramels that just taste like caramel. The actual coffee flavor in Kona Mocha Chip was quite strong which I like, & the chocolate chips were plentiful as well as sizable. These 2 flavors worked very well together.
Macadamia Nut for me just did not have enough "nut" flavor. I guess I was just expecting to taste a more dominant roasted macadamia flavor. But it was more just nuts in lightly flavored ice cream. I read the description after though & it does say lightly flavored so makes sense. Just my thoughts on the taste.
SERVICE:
It was a busy later Saturday night and the 2 younger guys were working hard serving it up. & they both had a good attitude the whole time. I waited in line & there was line pretty much the whole time, but it did not take that long. It's relative thought since sometimes people can't pick their flavors which makes it take longer.
LOCATION & PARKING:
They are located in the Stater Bros shopping plaza, off of Varner Rd & Washington St. There's lots of parking so no problem with that.
Just as the Palm Springs location, you'll definitely get the Hawaiian vibe in here. But compared to that location this one is much more built for you to be able to enjoy your ice cream seated inside.
This is my second time at Lappert's & I definitely plan to come back for more of their quality ice cream when I'm back in the area.

When we make travels to the Palm Desert area, we always stop here at Lapperts for ice cream. Big surprise this year was a total remodel and we must say it really looks nice. We will stop every nite while in town.
