Overview: higher scale... not really a jeans/t-shirt/tennis shoes place. Sort of on the intimate sidw.
Meal/Time: Dinner/Saturday 515PM
Decor/Atmosphere: look for the octopus in different places
Service/ Front of the House: greeted and seated quickly. Friendly interaction.
Service/Serving Staff: Staff is EXTREMELY service oriented. Stopped regularly to check on us. Constantly refilling our water. Food runner really personable. Found this to be truly enjoyable meal. Our server was Gina and she was amazing.
Food:
Lobster bisque is really lobstery. Actual lobster chunks
Octopus is soooo tender...you do not need a knife. The octopus is grilled so you can taste the smokiness.
Salmon brochette... good size portion of salmon over a bed risotto. Loved the salmon...cooked perfectly. The risotto was good, but the shaved parmesan was a little too thick for my liking.
***note my friend ordered the fried red snapper... its A WHOLE fish....huge... could be shared by 3 people. It was really good though. Watch out for bones.
Value: about $75 per person with not alcohol. A little pricey but the quality is there.
Restroom: men's room has 2 undivided urinals and a stall and single sink. Trash can needed emptying.
Will I come back?: yes for the octopus for sure.

I thought this is one of the best seafood restaurant I've ever eaten at. Compared to other more well known seafood restaurants, I would say the food is better than all of them. The location is in a typical strip mall which probably turns some people off, but don't let that persuade you. I had the 7 Oceanas which is like tomato soup and it was great with a very large portion. It's a tad bit spicy. The coconut flan for dessert was also great. Two bags thumbs up.

One of the rare finds in Palm Desert. Great choice of different dishes. Friendly service and fine beer. Our new favorite.
The pork mole is fantastic.

One of the top 5 restaurants in the valley. I was told that this restaurant is one of the best out here and it took a while to get there.
Now, I conure! The food was great, service was impeccable and all with reasonable pricing.
If 100 was a perfect score, this restaurant would be in 95% level.
I can't wait to go back.
Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The Banana Peppers with Shrimp and Crab Cake, topped with a Jumbo Shrimp, were very good. The Oscar Shrimp tacos were not our favorite. The shrimp had a lot of breading and the tacos were topped with so much, that it was very messy to eat.
The restaurant decor and the music, made the ambiance very nice and server was great.
I would like to try their Ribeye Steak on a future visit.

Quick Summary
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Skip your hotel restaurant and come here for dinner. Highly recommend their 7 Oceanas and Spanish octopus
Food- 5 stars
Roasted beet salad- this was good, pretty standard
Banana peppers- this was done well. Filled with flavor and good shrimp
7 Oceanas- this was a cioppino and it was absolutely fantastic. Broth had great flavor and seafood was fresh and plump
Spanish octopus- this was grilled to perfection. Excellent through every bite
Red snapper- this is the dish they're known for. It was good, but I liked the 7 Oceanas and Spanish octopus alot more
Chamorro (pork shank)- this was pretty good but a slightly lower class compared to the 7 Oceanas and Spanish octopus
Service- 5 stars
Excellent service as our waiter and what appeared as the manager were helpful throughout
Bottom Line
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Will order the 7 Oceanas and Spanish octopus every time

It was our first time trying this restaurant and we were more than pleased. The food had bold flavors and spice levels to please everyone's palate. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried - from the lobster guacamole appetizer and the roasted beet salad with burrata, to our main tequila and chipotle shrimp dishes. The place is always packed and now I know why. We will be back again.

Every single dish on their menu is on point. Delicious is an understatement. Scrumptious. The service, ambience, flavors, looks, Oceana has everything! We celebrated my dad’s birthday and coming from my mom and aunt who are the most honest food critics, they said “everything is perfection, and hadn’t enjoyed food this good in a long time.”

The food was excellent all around. Calamari was an impressive center squid piece. Had the Veracruz fish. Impressive flavor, perfectly cooked. My husband had the pork shank. He was very happy with it even though the masked potatoes were spicy.

Food and service were not to be beat. Everyone went out of their way to make this an excellent experience. Our party had some people that don't eat seafood that loved their meals too.

Co-owners Moses and Oscar (chef)were very friendly and welcoming, as was Gina, our waitperson. Had the special, 3 large shrimp and 3 scallops, very good, and the bronzino, which was also very good but a little too much on the sauce muniere. The bar was very disappointing. Had a very watered down martini. The location is in a shopping center with a large parking area. It's definitely a repeat.

Had dinner here last night with family. Enjoyed everything appetizers, main dishes, desserts and drinks. Will definitely come back when visiting Palm Springs.

The quality for the price is excellent. This is the nicest restaurant I have eaten in all holiday. Very classy atmosphere and fresh fish with a Mexican flair. The coconut flan is to die for.

Amazing everything. Came with a group of 4 and we shared 5 dishes. All fantastic. Service was better than perfect. All freshly made.
The Ponderosa Running Springs
Had great food options. I was with a group of 5. My plate of food was delicious. The other dishes looked great too and everyone was satisfied. I was impressed. There did seem to be a foul smell in restaurant, no one else in my group mentioned it.

What a great place! This cozy restaurant boasts it all - the friendliest and most helpful servers, delicious food, and an upscale yet comfortable atmosphere.
The shrimp-stuffed banana peppers were recommended to us, and they were tasty. The branzino was cooked perfectly and the Diablo shrimp were spicy. Well definitely be back, especially after their new bar is open and ready for customers (should be within the next couple weeks! ).

Oceana, in Palm Desert, is definitely a 5 STAR Seafood restaurant!
Everything was very fresh and perfectly prepared. The Ahi Tuna was 10 STAR!
Service was efficient, friendly and inviting.
Our first visit was on a very busy Saturday eve...with no reservations. We were quickly accommodated. We were so pleased and impressed with our total experience that we returned to dine three evenings later.
Oceana is an amazing seafood "gem" in the California desert!
