Had a late breakfast by the pool. Really great vibes. Like most of this town, you feel transported to about 1975. Breakfast sandwich was OK. My gf had a good salad and grilled cheese, which was better. Recommend for the vibes alone.

We are big fans of the Ace, and King’s Highway never disappoints. The arugula salad is my lunch go-to because it’s fresh and light—it’s equally delicious with the addition of grilled chicken or steak. My kids also love the bacon and French fries. Both are cooked to crisp perfection. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, and the stained glass creates such a cool ambiance. I highly recommend eating inside on a slow weekday. If you’re keen on enjoying the weather, the back patio is also a great dining option. It overlooks the hotel’s mid-century modern pool. I can’t imagine a better way to eat a meal with friends.

Amazing breakfast here. I had the Breakfast Burrito and Ricotta Pancakes. I don’t know what they do to the potatoes in the burrito but the best way to describe it is that they are like tater tots, fried, then smashed and fried again for maximum surface area crunch. The ricotta pancakes melt in your mouth. If you like an al dente inside in your pancakes the ricotta simulates that without it feeling like you’re eating raw batter. The service was great. Our server was Danny and he was very accommodating and really cool to talk to. I left my hat in my seat and he caught up with me at the crosswalk to get it back to me. Overall the environment seems amazing you can hear the whole team vibing and you can tell because the food is made with ♥️.

We loved the vibe, the decor & the food! We missed breakfast by a few minutes (they really stick to the rules), but weren’t disappointed by the lunch options. The friendly, easy service, nice-sized portions and fresh, tasty food have us looking forward to our next visit. Make sure you get avocado & bacon on the burger!

I ordered the fish and chips and to be honest it was tasteless I was disappointed. My spouse got the plant based burger and was impressed with it so atleast one meal was good. But for the high price of the fish and chips it should have atleast had some kind of flavor. Server was extremely friendly and the overall vibe of the restaurant was good.

Visited here with friend for late dinner Thursday and I was immediately impressed with the decor. I loved the layout of the restaurant with the old fashioned yet modern minimalist look, it reminded me of a 50’s bowling alley restaurant only completely cleaned up, revamped and retrofitted with 2020’s vibes. The server was very friendly and did a terrific job although it was only us and another table at the time and I would have appreciated him refilling my soda without me having to ask even though that’s a minor complaint. I looked into the bar and the interior design was very cool looking and unlike anything I’ve seen before. I didn’t get the chance to stay in one of their rooms or use their pool but next visit to Palm Springs I will go out of my way to come here. The menu was very small maybe 12 items total? My friend had an orange wine which I’d never seen before. If you are a hamburger lover/connoisseur then definitely try their burger it was rich and delicious and flavorful maybe almost too rich but that’s not a compliment just a speculation. It was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection if you like medium rare anyways which I do! This is a must go restaurant spot for anyone visiting or living in Palm Springs

We felt like we were enjoying our breakfast in a Quentin Tarantino (esque) diner scene. The ambiance is fun and retro. We split the egg scramble and an everything bagel. It was all delicious. We will definitely be back when we are in town.

I’m from New Jersey, been on the road for a while, and wanted something that was diner like. Did a little research in the area and found King’s Highway. The moment I walked in, I knew I was at the right place. The menu (although not pages long like a Jersey diner) had a lot of familiar foods / great choices. There was a counter, which I ate at, near the food prep area for solo eaters such as myself. I ended up getting chicken quarter with cauliflower puree and mixed vegetables. It was absolutely delicious. What I really enjoyed was the camaraderie of the staff there - they really seemed to enjoy each other and take pride in the food they were serving. It certainly showed. Very cool place that I would definitely eat at regularly if I were a local.

One of our favorite local spots for a good quick bite to eat is the Ace Hotel's KINGS HIGHWAY Diner on the corner of Palm Canyon and Camino Real. The menu, (though understandably limited during off season), is still substantial enough to meet anyone's palate. This particular day we decided to test drive the bar as well. We started with 1 Bloody Mary and 1 "twist" on mimosas--instead of orange juice, a lovely presentation of champagne & pineapple juice with an edible purple flower in the center. . . (Interesting but we prefer orange juice next time, LOL) The Bloody Mary was spicy and nourishing with a garnish of olives, sweet peppers and other edibles. (One can be assured of not drinking on an empty stomach with that one...) We decided to test drive the shishito peppers and split the "Impossible [veggie] Burger": The peppers were AWESOME and even tasted better the next day when we couldn't finish the order (which was substantial) and reheated them in our toaster oven. The IMPOSSIBLE Burger was as good as an "Impossible" Burger can possibly be. The burger itself is... well the burger. But the bread, accoutrements, condiments and everything made this plant burger taste actually pretty special. One is given the option of french fries or salad. We opted for the salad that came with its own dressing. (Have no idea what the dressing was but it was delicious...) This place is a lot of fun and during season has so many things going on that it's harder to get in than it is now during the summer. Take advantage of that! In fact, we've even heard a great rumor that they will be bringing Drag Bingo back shortly (if it hasn't been brought back already). You have never seen a more hilarious assortment of people from around the world get together and laugh uproariously. This is one of our favorite neighborhood haunts. It should be yours as well!

What used to be Denny's and a HoJo before has been King's Highway for a while now. I was impressed by my server, Elizabeth, who is a long time employee who shared the history of this place. Food presentation was great, but what I had was small for the price. The menu is limited which is sensible during off season and a bit pricey even for Palm Springs. The ambience is eclectic including their flooring which apparently the original and should be replaced. The lounge and access to the Ace Hotel pool is just steps away.

I was in Palm Springs staying at the Ace Hotel and this restaurant is established inside of the hotel premises. So of course, I had to try out the food. I grabbed breakfast and coffee from here. The place is vintage and gives you a vibe from the 70's. The staff are exceptionally cool and fun. Very respectful yet engaging. The restaurant also covers the pool area of the hotel making this the perfect hotday combination. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is because of the pricing. Super expensive 😬 other than that, it's great 😃👍🏽

I had breakfast here when I stayed nearby. I’d definitely recommend asking to sit outside!! The diner-style restaurant looks cool but is a little dark and has views of the parking lot. But you can eat by the pool and look at the mountains even as a non-guest. All of the breakfasts looked great based on the dishes I saw come out. I had avo toast but would come back for the lox or a salad as the ingredients seem really fresh! The server was the nicest guy and made me feel super welcome — they didn’t seem to care I wasn’t a guest (you know how some hotel restaurants make it really clear who is/isn’t staying? Not here!). The Ace chain has a reputation of being a little pretentious but this restaurant made me open to the idea of staying here on my next P.S. trip. Everyone I saw was being treated the same — the wannabe Instagram models, the group of older gay friends, the family with unruly kids. There was a welcoming vibe that I really loved.

3.5/5 Food 5/5 Atmosphere This dichotomy is like the obvious standard for Ace Hotel stuff. You’re here for the artfully curated experience photographable experience, and the food is just good enough to not make you upset at the price of it all. But like, come on…everything looks so nice in these places. Worth it. We messed up when dinners stopped looking like this everywhere. Ordered the Kings Breakfast and the Breakfast Sandwich, both perfectly fine. Potatoes were seasoned well enough. Nothing super special with the food here, but the ambience makes you feel like you’re in a Tarantino film or whatever. Nothing to complain about with the service, price is standardly high but that’s just what you’re signing up for eating out nowadays. Would eat here again for sure!

Fantastic breakfast. Loved both the chorizo grits and avacado toast. Over medium eggs were perfectly cooked, which few places manage to do. Egg salad sandwich was also very good (loved the sourdough bread toast and perfectly crispy bacon). Also, their coffee was very good - not your typical diner Maxwell House. Everything was top quality and perfectly prepared. We will return to taste their other menus.
