Our last night in Palm Springs and we found this place and their papusas on DoorDash and decided that was the way to end our visit. We ordered bean, pork, beef, and shrimp papusas as well as a shrimp tostada. The shrimp tostada according to my friend was FREAKING AMAZING and she said she could have bathed in that sauce. The papusas were also awesome. Our favorite was the pork one but all were great. My only complaint was the curtido was bland and slightly disappointing. I wish it had more tang and flavor as that is one of my favorite things about papusas. Overall I’d recommend this location but temper expectations for the curtido.

Ran into this place while leaving Palm Springs a couple days ago, neither me nor my mother had had any good/authentic El Salvadoran food, so I asked the girl in the front desk for recommendations; she was helpful and friendly, very patient with all my "what is this" questions. The pupusas were all amazing and the nutty flavor of their horchata just took us off guard - in a good way. Thank you for a great experience/introduction to your food!

The food was very good, the staff were very attentive. The pupusa loca was very good. I really liked the pupusa chicharron. Definitely a must try when visiting this area.

Pupusas are the best I ever had. Filing is perfect, and curtido is delicious.

just tried this place. this was a lucky find. we ordered pork pupusas and spinach ones. both were good, however i prefer the pork. also had chicken and pork tamales. both were awesome. the masa was soft and the leaves they were wrapped in added extra flavor. Ordered other dishes as antojito as well. it's a great way to sample the various items. would highly recommend. staff was friendly and the food came out quickly enough even there was a spike in customers.

How do I even start?!? Well, I found this place through tiktok about 2-3 weeks ago and was so excited because I'm Salvi myself! I have been craving Salvadoran food since I visited the country a few weeks ago. I visited with my mom when they opened for dinner on Sunday after a nice adventure in Palm Springs. Food: AUTHENTIC. It was super delicious and felt like I was back in the motherland😂💙 I ordered multiple plates, and the video didn't show it, but we also ordered Empanadas de Leche that were sooo good. The pupusas we got were de revueltas and tasted delicious. They had 2 different kind of sauces at the table that pairs great with it. The tamale was chicken and tasted phenomenal. We also got the yuca frita con chorizo 🐷 and I got the typical Salvi plate. Overall, the food was a 10/10 for us! We dined in and loved the atmosphere. Families were inside talking, and the staff was super nice. We even spoke to them about how I found the place and even about the country. We laughed and joked, and it was so nice and comfortable. Plenty of the staff speaks English as well so anybody can order! They have handheld menus and a menu, mostly with different pupusa flavors, on a chalkboard next to where you'd order. They also have pickup parking outside the front when you call to order. They have tables inside and plenty outside in their patio area. We spent around $50+ together but no regrets here because we left with happy, full stomachs, haha👍🏻😎 I highly recommend visiting this place to anyone who wants to try Salvadoran food. I'm unfortunately 40 minutes away from this place, but I hope to visit again sometime! Especially to try out their breakfast! 🍳

We came here on the last day of vacation and ordered 3 pupusas (chicken, a bean, and aa pork). We had never had them before and were blown away by how delicious they were. The sauce they gave complimented them so well. We wish we had known about them before because we absolutely would’ve tried their breakfast. They have indoor and outdoor seating! we took ours to go to eat a a brewery.

Authentic, tasty and inexpensive describe our experience at the El Salvador Cafe. My Wife and I sampled a variety of pupusas along with a half pound of deep fried carnitas. Served with two hot, fresh and very thick corn tortillas. The staff at the El Salvador Cafe are very friendly and love to share their stories from El Salvador. We truly had a wonderful experience.

Had this delivered to my son. He loved it. We are part Salvadoran and have eaten at many ElSalvador restaurants. This is one of our favorites.

I love this place I literally make a point to stop here everytime. I am very picky when it comes to Salvadorean food however this place highly meets my expectations. The food is amazing. It's a family owned business with people that truly care about their customers.

Our final meal leaving a holiday in Palm Springs, but my group of friends and I all agreed that if we had gone earlier in our trip we would have happily eaten here multiple times and given up some of the less interesting meals we ate elsewhere. The pupusas and agua frescas were incredible. The horchata was so unique too, soy and peanuts add a complex flavour and made it feel so nourishing. We wanted to try everything on the menu! Great for sharing. The service was friendly and helpful, especially since Salvadoran cuisine is a little new to us, the servers walked us through what to expect and how to pair different components and flavours. It felt like being introduced to a friends favourite family meal. If you have any doubt if you’ll know what to order, don’t let that stop you! The value was also incredibly fair, the bill felt like it should have been higher. The food was all hand made, including salsas and slaw, and it was probably the most memorable, refreshing, and feel-good meal we had on our trip.

The best chips and guacamole I have ever had. These were fresh and phenomenal. Highly recommend to get some with your order! We also ordered a variety of pupusas for takeout and couldn't finish them all. So tasty and a fun takeout option. Prices are incredible and quality is awesome. Highly recommend!!

Riquísimo! Fantastic local family business focused on quality and customer service. These are the best pupusas I’ve had outside of El Salvador. The agua naturales are so good! If you haven’t been yet, you need to go today! 🤤

Family run restuarant specializing in traditional El Salvadoran cuisine. The food is delicious, but rich, so order conservatively. The staff is super friendly and makes the menu accessible. We ordered Pupusas, which were rich and filling. For dessert, the empanadas de Platanos are sweet and satisfying. They offer patio seating as well as indoor seating. The ambiance is warm and inviting. We felt like part of the family.
