This is the real deal. Great food, comfortable seating, timely service, friendly staff. The sound of Spanish flowing through the air creates a great ambience. Warm and welcoming energy.

We heard about this restaurant from our Uber driver when we landed in town looking for a place the locals eat. She immediately mentioned this place and said it was one of the best in town. We made it in for lunch and it was not super packed. After looking at the menu for a minute we decided on fajitas, a birria taco, and horchata. First…the birria taco is not what one currently expects. It was a normal taco and not fried or with cheese. It had goat in the traditional manner but had a sweet flavor that we didn’t like. But…the fajitas….best fajitas I have had in my entire life and my companion agreed. The seasoning was dancing across our tongues. The shrimp and steak were perfectly cooked, I cannot express how awesome these were. The bar is now set and I am afraid I will have to come back to Palm Springs to even get close again. The rice and beans and guacamole were also top tier. And the horchata oh my. Sweet, cinnamon perfect combo and a huge glass of it. If you are in the area get a little out of the downtown area and stop here!!

Came here on the recommendations of the reception staff of the hotel we were staying to have some authentic Mexican food and we were not disappointed. Our server helped us in explaining and choosing the dishes.

This was a great place to eat. The beans were absolutely delicious!! The prices were very reasonable and the servings were very generous. We left there feeling so full , good thing we had to walk to the car. It certainly helped with the feeling of being stuffed and settled down my stomach a bit. When in Palm Springs do go to this restaurant. You will be very satisfied with your choice of dining.

On the road for three weeks, travelling from Washington to California and we have eaten many places, frequently Mexican. This was by far the best restaurant and experience we have had. Our server was extremely helpful when asking for advice and did not steer us wrong. From drinks to meals it was a terrific experience. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of food. None of us could finish our plates of food, even though we tried hard. Too bad we are not local as we would frequent here. Well done.

Have been going here for over 5 years. Food is fresh not like other Mexican restaurants in town. When they bring your food and they tell you that the plate is hot it is because it has been sitting there for hours waiting for you to order that plate, you will nit hear that here. No matter what you order you will not be disappointed. My favorite though hands down….MENUDO (the best in the desert).

When my ex-husband and I entered this lovely restaurant we are immediately greeted and we were told we look like family and what would we like cuz they can't wait to make it for us. It was absolutely lovely and I felt like I was received by family. The food was delicious and affordable.

We love this family oriented restaurant we have been going there for over 3 years. We love the service and the generous portions. Shrimp fajitas is my favorite me and my wife we share one. And I add couple of pastors too.

Good variety on menu. Reasonable prices for Palm Springs. And they have birria which is a really big plus. Only negative the jukebox is way too loud.

Picked up dinner late on a Friday evening in May. We got the chicken nachos, enchiladas, and quesadillas. They were all pretty good. Especially loved the nachos. They even gave us a bag of plain nachos on the side. Lots of food though, and it probably lasted 2 meals each for 2 people.

Taqueria Tlaquepaque is an authentic Mexican restaurant in the Rite Aid shopping center. Don’t judge the restaurant based on the underwhelming exterior. It’s the friendly and efficient service and excellent food that counts. The portions and flavors are big - while the prices are reasonable. Whether you want a taco or a burrito, fajitas or a combination plate, you are served housemade tortilla chips and a medium spicy salsa to start. The service was attentive and the chicken fajitas, tacos and Chile Relleno were beyond satisfying and delicious. You can order your lunch or dinner to eat in or take home. This is good food and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
