I hadn't realized that there was a lodge and restaurant at the end of the Knik River Road let alone that the whole road was now paved. It was a nice Sunday drive out there and we did sandwiches for lunch. Good food and service at a good price. View was great. They had four beers on tap. Already planning on another drive out there to show It to someone else.
We just had the most lovely meal at Raven's Perch at the Knik River Lodge. Yes, it's a drive out there but holy cow is it worth it. Perfect for special occasions and just a nice meal. The facility is gorgeous and new and warm. It was dark when we arrived but I have driven out here once before and I know the view is tremendous. Then there was the food! We had the crab cakes for an appetizer and it was enough for the four of us. Then came a round of French Onion Soup - DELISH! For dinner we shared the halibut and it was fantastic. Our dinner partners had the lamb which was so tender and delicious. For dessert we shared the two options and they were quite a good finish to the meal.
The service was great and they also took time to show us the banquet room facilities downstairs. VERY NICE. It would be a great spot for an event.
Looking forward to our next visit for sure.

Incredibly delicious food, impeccable service and the sunset view down the valley can be amazing. Located at Knik River Lodge.
Price just right and more food than you can eat. Plenty of variety. Beautiful view and it beats Anchorage. Have to travel but getting there is easy and all paved roads.
The service was just as incredible as the food. The views are beautiful. We are looking forward to going back.
