Homey atmosphere, meat cooked so tender you can cut it with a spoon, cornbread to die for, sides so good you want to ask for more. This small local business is friendly and welcoming and if you eat on the deck the view of the lake is wholesome and relaxing. Great place to visit!

Order from there earlier this week and it was horrible!!! I moved here from Georgia so I know good BBQ and this was the complete opposite of that. I got the pulled pork sandwich and the meat tasted and looked like it was boiled or something. Absolutely NO TASTE OR SMOKE RING!! The Mac n cheese was cold and once again not any flavor same with the brisket!! Would not recommend this place or go back.

My husband and I have eaten here several times. I love the pulled pork sandwich, and he goes for the ribs. Our favorite sides are cheesy grits and collard greens. The corn bread is excellent--about the best we have ever tasted. Sometimes we eat out on the deck to enjoy looking out on Matanuska Lake. But, when it is cold outside, the view of the lake from inside is still fine.

Due to the excellent reviews we went here for dinner. The service was very friendly and the view on the lake is very nice.
Besides that we were dissapointed. We ordered the bear belly platter for two persons and from the first appearance everything seems fine. But when we started, we recognized that the food wasn't really hot. Every meat on the platter was heaten up. The skin of the chicken wasn't anything but crispy and the ribs didn't taste like fresh from the smoker. That's what we never expected from a restaurant with such good reviews.

Coming from both the Carolinas and Texas, I’d consider myself a pretty good judge of barbecue. Everything is excellent. The food, the view and the staff far exceeded my expectations. Shout out to the cornbread and collard greens!

I ate here and took it home I ate my food after it was 20 mins old.. Still the best darn BBQ this side of Alaska I am from the South and there food reminds me of home/ southern comfort.. Very happy they are here in Palmer! About to order more lol.

Bears belly is amazing, my kids are picky eaters and they love everything on the menu. One of my girls tried the chocolate bourbon pie and she was over the moon! My son hates everything and he LOVES the cornbread and ribs!
