I enjoyed my experience at Rey Aztecs Mexican Restaurant. From the second I walked in, I was greeted by the very friendly hostess. Since I was dining alone I wanted to eat at the bar but it was closed so I settled for a booth.
Shortly, after I sat down the waiter was at my table. The chips were warm and salsa had a kick to it which I appreciated. He was very attentive. I ordered the steak fajita. I was not disappointed when it came out. He warned me it was hot and to be careful. Which goes without saying when ordering fajitas.
My experience was going good... UNTIL! I noticed a shrimp on my plate. It would've been a nice freebie IF I wasn't allergic to them. The staff was very apologetic. They had no inkling of my allergy so I'm of the mindset that it was an accident. Despite my insistence on paying for my meal they refused to let me pay for it.
Until that point, I was enjoying my meal and the atmosphere at Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant. I had cash on me so I left the waiter the cost of my meal as a tip and paid for the 2 beers.
Overall, I would recommend Rey Azteca to anyone looking for Mexican food while visiting the area. However, please let them know of any food allergies prior to ordering.
came about 40 mins b4 closing. service was great, price was right and food was good. I preferred my food hotter temp but it was very good! we had a carnitas burrito,, carnitas enchiladas, combo platter with Chili rellenos a taco and enchiladas, and burritos Verdes
So good. Service was great. Great food and really fast in getting it out. Way to guys!!!!
Absolutely a amazing place to dine or take out. We have eaten here a few times and love the food is delicious and the serving size is large. The staff here is so pleasent and friendly. It's a definitely must try if you have not already .
Oh my gosh, where do I begin? I went to the restroom first- nice and clean. Then, I came back to the table and saw a nice portion of chips and not one but TWO things of salsa so my fiancé and I didn’t even have to share!!
I ordered the fried chicken chimichangas with no lettuce or guacamole and rice instead of beans.
If you’re looking for flavors that will linger on your tastebuds for days, this is the place for you!!
Excellent place! Clean. Fast. Great little business. 2nd time here and I am quickly becoming a regular as a person living here in Palmyra. Fair pricing as well. The guacamole was exceptional and was a first try tonight. If you are visiting the area don't let the weird name of this authentic Mexican restaurant or its plaza location fool you. I promise that you' will love it as much as much as my son and I do (his 4th time here). They are also not going to charge you extra either if you want guacamole or queso dip with your chips, aside from Salsa. Wait until you see the huge bowl of chips they bring you (mounded above the top). That alone will make you love them and want to order even more simply because you feel like you are treated so fairly. Love these people and am proud that they are located in our town! PLEASE TRY THEM! I suggest that you arrive early during tourist season or call and ask if they accept reservations as I am not tooo certain but I do know on a Friday night you might as well forget it unless you choose to wait it out.
UPDATE: Was back again - IT'S THAT GOOD. Sorry, they do charge if you want guacamole or queso dip. The price for guac is $6 and I am not sure for queso dip. I must not have realized that last time.
Oh my, this little secret is truly amazing. The food was more than generous, and the service was awesome. Although the atmosphere reflects Mexican, (the artwork is fantastic) the menu has something for anyone. The prices are more than fair.
I would encourage you to bring the entire family.
We certainly go back. Keep it up staff. I rate you a 10 (ten) star
