Burma Ruby - Palo Alto - Photo album

Visited on NYE. Delicious food with excellent service. We had tea leaf salad, samosa soup, country style lamb with coconut rice, homestyle fried rice and sweet sticky rice with mango ice cream. All the dishes were flavourful with the right balance of spices. Service was top notch and we were taken c
We were walking in downtown Palo Alto with our dog, scoping out restaurants to eat at for lunch, and this place smelled good, so we decided to eat here. We got the fried tofu (we wanted their specialty tofu but they said it wouldn't be ready until dinner), coconut chicken curry with a side of Burme
The seating and atmosphere was quite nice. Service was attentive but their bill software (spot on) is quite confusing. We ordered multiple dishes that were good, especially the beef dish, but the chicken Kebata was tasteless. Wouldn’t recommend it. It gets busy sometimes so book in advance if you ca
We were a little disappointed on our latest visit here - the decor was a little old, there was a very annoying ringtone/chime/tune every couple of minutes, the food didn’t seem that fresh, and they forgot our tea leaf salad until we asked. The samosa soup was decent, but we didn’t like raw onion and
A super mediocre experience getting takeout. I ordered coconut chicken curry - but got home to find that it was regular curry, not coconut. The dish had a fat layer of oil floating on top, which I had to spoon off. The flavor was not bad though. The rice, as you can see in the picture, was grossly o
The manager Jon was very friendly. Service was slow though. The food is mediocre. It is extremely pricey ($82 for 2 pax). The tea leaf salad was delicious but nothing else was good. The garlic noodle was bland and texture of the noodle is too soft. The okra and egg did not sit well with my taste bud
A good place when it comes to taste and menu options. We had a great experience with the service too unlike a few reviews I got. Mango tofu, Tea leaf salad are must try. The place is pricey overall, but the location and variety they maintain might be the reason for high prices.
The tea leaf salad is awesome here. You can read the menu, order and pay the check from your phone. The staff is courteous and the service is good.
