Adorable, cozy and worth the price! I love the cute shop that is at the front of the restaurant. It features beach themed jewelry and classy, unique things. I was cedar right away and found the view of the ocean beautiful just like everyone has been raving about! The service from the multitasking bartender was impressive and efficient. I chose the grilled grouper with mashed potatoes and a half a dozen raw oysters. The grouper was perfectly done, nice and moist. The oysters were fresh with the homemade cocktail sauce on point!
A delightful beachfront restaurant that's very popular with the locals. Why? Because the food is excellent, the service prompt and friendly, and the overall atmosphere welcoming. Be sure to check out the "12 for $12" specials like we did with the Chicken Tortellini and Crab-stuffed Shrimp today. Delicious!
Went at 5pm on a Friday (as well as following Saturday) and were sat immediately both times! We were sat at the beach seating each night and were able to watch the sunset during our meal. Every dish we ordered was amazing and the drinks were great too! There is a very cute boutique here to shop after dining.
Our server Nat made the experience outstanding, so much so that we requested to be served by them the following night as well. Nat had a great knowledge of the menu and had the best recommendations. We are so appreciative of Nat’s friendliness and ability to create such a memorable experience for us. Thank you Nat!!
On a recent visit, an associate recommended we eat at this beachfront restaurant. The sunset was stunning and the relaxed beach vibe is this place's best asset. The server was super friendly and helpful. The food was good. Calamari appetizer, then shrimp tacos and Caribbean chicken. Two thumbs up! Definitely come at sunset.
We dined here on a Sunday late afternoon, we were greeted and seated promptly. We chose upstairs (indoors) and had a perfect table location.
Jake our server was attentive, cordial, and amicable .

For starter we ordered the Caribbean Chicken Bites, what a great dish to start a good dining experience.
For my main course I combined the Crab Cakes (appetizer) with Mashed Potatoes; the crab cakes fresh and cooked to perfection! Great choice.
To finish our dining experience we ordered the Fudge Brownie; Yummy!!!
It is a very busy and popular place, and there is a reason why; great food, good service paired up with a view of the sea.
We will definitely patronize this establishment again.
I had my wedding today at Runaway Island. It was a dream!! Devin was amazing and went above and beyond for everyone in our group. The amount of compliments I received about the venue on the beach and the amazing food we had inside the restaurant was astounding! Everyone loved how easy it was to go from ceremony to dinner & dessert. So grateful for everyone at Runaway Island. This place was so fair on the pricing. One word: DEVIN! She is amazing from start to finish! We visited the venue and knew as soon as we left it was the one. The view of the beach, the wood floors, tables and lights hanging from the ceiling… just amazing! During the tour Devin explained everything in great detail. She answered every question we had and others we hadn’t even thought of! We live in Colorado so having her as the venue coordinator was a huge plus. Any time I had a question she was quick to respond and put my mind at ease. It was all so stress free because I knew Devin had it all handled for me. We booked the Ballyhoo Room for our reception and the beach at Runaway Island for our ceremony. It rained the day of our wedding but magically stopped for just the amount of time for the ceremony and pictures. Devin stayed with me until it was time for me to walk down the aisle. She tracked the weather on her phone and continuously kept me updated. Her team of servers were amazing as well. And the food… oh man the food… we served the buffet, mahi mahi, chicken Alfredo, mashed potatoes, etc… everything was so good and all of our guests raved about the food and the service! It was so delicious! Devin and her team worked to make sure every small and big detail was covered! Tables and chairs were setup how we requested, when we came up to the reception Devin got us drinks before heading in for our grand entrance, appetizers were at our seat when we arrived to the reception, they offered to fix our plates and continuously checked on us throughout the reception making sure we had everything we needed. Our wedding day was perfect because of Devin and her team. We highly recommend Runaway Island for your wedding or any celebration. You will not be disappointed!
We would go back 100X just to see our bartender/waitress MJ!! She was AMAZING. She started off with jokes and never stopped. We were laughing the whole time. Our food was good too! I had cheese oysters and fish tacos. My husband had their snapper special. Drinks were good too.
From the moment we walked in until we walked out the customer service was A+ the ambience was so nice being on the beach, and the sunset bell gives you an opportunity to go out on one of their decks to take a sunset photo if your there at that time. The drinks and all the food we had were all delicious. I had the Bye Felicia 3 rum drink, appetizer was the Baja rolls, so good, our entrees were the blackened Mahi and Chicken tacos, both good and we both had the yucan mashed potatoes, also good. Highly recommend this place!

It’s hard not to recommend this place just based on their food alone; we ordere 4 dishes and each one of them was honestly perfect, especially their seafood tacos. It doesn’t hurt that we got to witness a marriage ceremony on the beach too!
We have been here several times and I’m always impressed. It is beachfront, so I recommend getting a table 30-45 minutes before sunset for an amazing view. There is sometimes live music. Most of the food has been really great! My favorites so far are the salmon pesto pasta and the blackened mahi mahi tacos.
First time eating here and we loved it! Staff is really nice and constantly chkd on us. Food was delicious! We had the Spinach Rockefeller Spinach dip, Baja tacos, Parmesan Crusted Flounder, St Charles Red fish, Runaway Grouper, and the Dream Pie🤤. Atmosphere is nice and beachfront seating. We will definitely be back on our next visit to PCB.
Another really great beachfront restaurant in PCB. I had the gumbo and it was super good! I will say that I think the portions could have been a little bigger, but overall was still really happy with the quality of the food. Our waiter was also awesome! Just a heads up, some of the chairs have armrests and may not be fat friendly, but there are some other options and that shouldn't deter you. Definitely a good spot, would recommend a reservation or be prepared to wait.
Came for the 28.00 surf turf special (strip steak, crab legs, Gouda mashed potatoes) and it was so good. Service was beyond good! Love the layout. Only reason gave 4 stars is because the plates themselves are small. Hard to eat all the food neatly.
My wife and I were on our Honeymoon and was told we had to visit Runaway because of the views, especially sunset. I can't recommend this place enough. This is an absolute must. The views were spectacular and MJ the bartender is the MVP. She was very attentive, kind, hilarious, and the reason why we came back on our final night in PCB. Do yourself a favor here sit outside with MJ order a Pina Colada and enjoy every minute of it. Thanks MJ for a spectacular visit, both times.
We went twice in our 5 day trip because they were so good! Both times our servers were AMAZING! They all look like they're having a great time working. The wait time seems scary sometimes but they get you in and out super quick! The food was so good! I recommend the crab legs, baja tacos and pesto salmon tortellini bowl! You can easily spend a lot of money but there is definitely some more affordable options. The drinks are great too! The view was beautiful as well.
