Authentic mexican food in a family owned restaurant. The server, Sevena, spoke of her grandfather's recipes. A wide menu of choices, including gluten free options (celiac). We had enchiladas, tacos, cheese chile relleno and! A combo platter and all were excellent. They had a choice of a "chunky" guacamole, which was like an avocado salsa/salad. Unique and fantastic. A nice beer selection also.
Came here when our other place closed unexpectedly. It was our first visit. I need to get familiar with that menu but EVERYTHING we tried today was delicious!
I had Chicken Burritos and took a picture, posted below.
My son got the tacos but no cilantro or onion. Also posted a picture below.
We will be back.
I've been wanting to try this restaurant for quite a while. I've read other great reviews about it and seen other pictures and I was sold based on those. I grew up in SoCal and have been searching for Mexican food as good ever since I left (13 years ago).
It is a quaint little "hole in the wall" shop on Harrison Ave. The overall feel of the atmosphere felt like a nice family oriented atmosphere. Traditional decor. The waitress we had was very pleasant and checked on us frequently. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered quite a bit of food (way too much for just himself, but who's judging 😉). The salsa was probably the best salsa I have ever had! Everything was so good! We will definitely be back and this may actually be our new favorite place to eat at!
Went for Menudo and was very pleased! The tripe was tender and cut into pieces small enough to fit on your spoon, unlike some places! Husband enjoyed the chicken mole! Good margaritas too!

Best authentic Mexican restaurant in town.
The horchata is magnificent, food is outstanding, everything looks and tastes fresh. And all the servers are very friendly!
Absolutely wonderful local restaurant in Bay County. Food is authentic and fresh and you can taste excellent flavor in every dish you order. 10/10 would recommend to anyone for real Mexican food
The homemade salsa is very good. I had the super burrito which was amazing, and my daughter had the enchiladas, she said they were quite good. This is probably some of the best Mexican food I've had in years, I highly recommend this restaurant.
What an awesome first impression! The food here is truly authentic and the staff is super friendly and quick to refill your drinks. I got the Chimichanga with steak and it was amazing! I would highly recommend this place!
The first time, I got my food to go. Food was excellent, the service was excellent, and I will be back. I want to try the drinks/margaritas. The ice cream was delicious as well.
Great food and very friendly! Definitely check them out!
This place is just a wonderful, little spot to get good street tacos and have a drink or two. Service is great, Atmosphere is great. I love it.
Went in for a quick lunch. Got tacos with rice and beans. It was just the right amount of food, served fast and it was good.
Very delicious and generous portions! Priced right too! We're just visiting Panama city and would definitely return and recommend!
*update* they seem to be up and running at full speed now after the hurricane. No reservations, FCFS! We went on a Friday night and it was packed. The tables turn quickly so your wait time is usually no longer than a few minutes. Well worth the wait imo.
Food is really good, authentic Mexican! AND vegetarian beans! Yay!! Service is fast and pleasant. There's a bar upstairs that I look forward to trying another time when things get back to normal. This is gonna be one of my new "go to" spots! So glad we found Maddie's La Casita! Definitely a best kept secret. Family-owned.
LOVE this little restaurant! The servers are super friendly and the food is excellent! Try their chunky guacamole and just about anything on their menu! Great prices and family friendly atmosphere! My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Maddie's is our longtime go-to for Mexican food. They have never once disappointed, and it has always been stellar. Try their mole sometime - absolutely the best we've ever had!
I ordered birria tacos and a diet coke, it was served with a side of chips and delicious salsa. The food was hot, delicious ans by far the closest food to Sonoran style Mexican food I've had in Bay county. This is by far my favorite place to eat for Mexican food. So much flavor with anything I get and the service is always wonderful.
It was our first time there, our friend recommended it. Our experience was good. Not great. When we walked in, nobody helped us, no sign that says to be seated or wait so we sat ourselves. The manager was nice, walked around checking in on tables and our waitress was ok. Claudia, our waitress was hustling butt between kitchen, cash register and tables. Their salsa was awesome and perfect heat! The food was good. Chicken was moist and not dry and beef was good too. Not over seasoned. Ice cream was good. Prices were great!
