Our server was awesome and the food came out fast and was hot and delicious! Will definitely be back on our next visit to Scottsdale.

The real deal. On a recent vacation in Phoenix, my wife and I ate at NYPD pizza TWICE, that's how impressed we were. We're originally from New York (the Bronx, myself), and unapologetic about being a NY pizza snob. We found out about this place while eating at the NY Bagel & Bialy (also excellent) across the street for breakfast when we asked about local / nearby NY style pizza, and they recommended NYPD right across the road. Very impressed with NYPD pizza! The crust was just about PERFECT, I don't know how they do it without the NY water, but it was right on target, crispy, thin but not too thin, even had some bubbles (I love that!). The ratio of tomato sauce to cheese was perfect (I'm a purist, I typically order just plain cheese), although on our first visit (lunch), we did order one topping (pepperoni), which was very good. Plus you can get slices, I think, a nice bonus. The service was excellent on both occasions. And they have alcohol, which is why we returned for dinner after our excellent lunch experience. Had a great time on the second visit again, with another consistently good pizza. And when you hold it and fold, you do get a little bit of that nice oil drip (to me, that is part of the experience). Anyway, if you like NY pizza, don't go anywhere else, go here. You won't be disappointed.
Gluten Free Pizza Done Right. This is definitely one of my favorite pizza places in the valley and with 10 locations you should be able to find one near you. The best part - their gluten free pizza is delish and they take great care in cross contact procedures. Their staff is educated and knowledgeable when it comes to food allergies, gluten free or vegan. I used to eat their pizza before I was diagnosed with celiac disease and their regular pizza is to die for. This is a place where the whole family can eat, there is something for everyone. It's got my vote for best pizza and best gluten free pizza around and is a go to.
Great food, especially for displaced east coasters. The 'za is right on! Service was friendly and fast too. We'll be back for more soon. Would totally recommend this place.
I travel to Scottsdale for business at least once a month and this NYPD is ALWAYS a stop for me! Great job!
I've gone here for years! They have high quality products like steam peeled tomatoes.. unlike other competitors who use acid peeled tomatoes, 100% whole milk mozzarella and their notorious new York water! The pizza and food is phenomenal! Excellent service as well! They have a wide variety of apps, soups and salads, sandwiches, calzones and pizza's! Its a beautifully designed restaurant as well! So unique and family oriented. I love Nypd!
Great Place. Everybody that I have had the pleasure of speaking with at this place is amazing. Seriously, from the managers to the delivery people. They are all quick with a smile, and do their best to please the customer. The food is delicious here, and the deserts are all pretty decently priced (by that I mean grab one, you can afford it).
Absolutely impressed. The pizza was great, honestly though I was a little discouraged when they told me the wait would be over an hour. Much to my pleasant surprise it showed up in no more than 20 minutes. Food: awesome. Service: awesome.
Great thin crust New York style pizza, they even use New York water to make the dough. Great fresh and home made toppings. As close to real NY pizza that I have had in valley of the sun.
We were a party of 5 kids and 5 adults. Our pizza was terrific fast and the service great. We got two 18" pizzas and everyone was stuffed.
Their gluten free menu originally started with a pizza crust, they have gradually expanded their gluten free menu to include gluten free bruschetta, and their famous SOHO Salad just to name a few of my favorites. If you have a sweet tooth, you wonβt want to miss their gluten-free Flourless Chocolate Torte, which was added to the menu this past November. The Flourless Chocolate Torte is made with a blend of four chocolates and finished with a ganache topping and worth every bite!
Fresh Pizza, I love my pizza very very Hot!
They dont get in a tizzy, if I ask our server to serve our Pizza in Box. I don't like AC systems or fans to blowing cold air down on our Pizza, so I keep it under cover in the box, and each piece is Hot as I'm ready to enjoy. Italian salad is excellent. (2) 1/2 toppings count as one. they do everything right.
Taste like Queens NY Pizza. Hand tossed and fresh! Go enjoy!

My Pizza Pal and I were in search of a good Sicilian style pizza, which isn't easy since not many pizza places in the valley make it. I hadn't been to a NYPD Pizza in years, so I was due to pay them a visit. We ordered their full sized Sicilian pie with sausage (they offer a half-size, which is rare and a nice option, but we were planning for leftovers) and a house salad. The salad appeared to have been pre-assembled and refrigerated - which rendered many of the veggies limp. The pizza was a great surprise. It was huge, and thick and chewy - like a Sicilian pizza is supposed to be - with a good crispy crunch on the bottom of the crust. Little more dense than a lot of Sicilian pizzas I've had, but it was still a good textured crust. It had a good tangy sauce and plenty of the very tasty Italian sausage in every bite. One of the better Sicilian pizzas I have found in Phoenix. We also ordered some Zeppolis for dessert, which came out to us piping hot and fresh. This location isn't too big, in a nice location near the Airpark and shopping, very friendly staff, and a nice dinning area. Good spot the bring the family.
Love eating here. best calzones and pizza in valley. Only downside is they have Pepsi products and not coke. Lol. Finish your night with a friend zepoli sundae. If you haven't tried this place. You are missing the best NY style pizza in the valley.
My family enjoys going to NYPD Pizza. We have had Elizabeth as our server every time we have gone. She is fantastic and is one step ahead every time. The food is delicious and fresh.
My kids eat all of their food when we go, which is rare when we eat out. The kids buttered noodles and pizza bites are a big hit.

Got the zucchini, half only which is 4 pieces. It was good & crispy. The marinera sauce wasnβt my favorite to eat the zucchini, it tasted better in ranch.
We got the upstate style wings traditional. I liked it. My brother said itβs a bit sweet. It does have a buffalo spicy flavor thou.
I got the cheese calazone it was okay. Lots of bread. The cheese was good. The calazone tasted good with the marianera sauce.
My brother got the turkey sandwich. You can choice for your side lays chips or penne salad. The sandwich was okay.
Our favorite pizza in Scottsdale. Lots of menu options, if pizza isn't your favorite. Great service, friendly service and delicious food. That's it and that's enough!
I tried half the Sicilian pizza with all beef meatballs, crispy eggplant and ricotta cheese. This was a very filling pie, but the crust was soft and also good reheated. The garlic knots are famous and have sesame seeds....pretty addictive. Nice bartender too.
NYPD is a good "standard issue" lunch. Decent lunch specials and typically pretty fast. Today not so much- they were disorganized behind the counter and register and upon inquiring about our order to go after several orders that went in following us, we were met with a snooty attitude.
Food is consistently the same quality. Salads are made with iceburg or butter lettuce so the nutritional value is questionable, but the dressing is good.
Can be confusing at lunch time as there are two ways to eat- sit down with table service, or order from lunch special menu at counter, however all patrons use the same dining room.
Good for ordering large quantities of pizza for corporate lunches as well.
My first time and I quite enjoyed it. The food was service and food were great and the overall decor was inviting. I would definitely recommend going with a group and trying there deserts.
This item was not on the to-go dinner menu because they don't always have the bread I was told. Anyway, these meatballs are all beef and this was a nice sandwich with a good marinara sauce.

Ice cold beer, Pizza's made perfectly to where the staff made sure we were satisfied with the order. Large Pizza's are huge. Slices are huge. Overall great quality dough and toppings. The meat pizza is the bomb along with the combination pizza. Mott Street Meat Lover is awesome. Da Works is another go to choice. I highly recommend NYPD as this pizza is worth another drive for a great pizza restaurant.
