This place is a paradox!
On one hand you have one of the cheapest and dirties settings for a restaurant, while on the other, you get freshly prepared and yummy food. It is difficult to step in and even more difficult to leave.
When the Parmatown Mall was still decent and the Parma roads had not become canals, my wife and I would go to this restaurant almost every other week. The cooks (the owner, his wife and one more person they hire) would prepare fresh butter naan and goat meat curry for us that tasted like heaven. I have also had opportunity to taste their food catered to large gatherings. They make the best tasting Indian (North-West Indian and Bengali) food at the most economic price.
The sad part is, the brought-from-dumpster looking chairs, disposable plates and cutlery, a bhaiya-decor that would remind you of a cheap restaurant in UP/Bihar, and a overwhelming bad smell near the restroom would turn away even the most loyal patron.
I have talked with the owner of this place on several occasions. He seems reluctant to do any upgrades (or cleaning, for that matter) to the restaurant. He considers catering his bread-and-butter and believes that the return on investment would not be significant if he would upgrade the place a bit.
India's Cafe & Kitchen. We were there for the lunch buffet today. We were a little skeptical when we saw the restaurant at first. It was a little small place in Parma. But we decided to give it a try anyways since it received good ratings on urbanspoon. We must say it was the best Indian food in Cleveland we've had so far and we've been to quiet a few of them. Definitely will go back many more times!! it tasted close to the Indian food back home :
Not the prettiest place to look at, but when you walk in it smells great! Totally authentic and great service. Definitely recommend
This place is not for dine in but by far, the most authentic Indian food in Cleveland. And this is coming from an Indian guy.
Like eating with family. So welcoming. So kind. So very, very good. No fancy pretentiousness. Just good old fashion authentic hospitality backed up with the most tasty home cooked Indian cuisine I've ever had. This is a must place to try. It's Finger licking good. Plus they offer catering services!!!
Absolutely amazing food. My favorite restaurant hands down! Just the right blend of spices to bring out the flavors.
I enjoy Indian food on occasion and saw this restaurant when driving down ridge rd. Resolving to try it on a friday that I did not work late, I came to find a buffet where I could help myself to whatever was brought out. The setup is quaint, similar to a catered buffet. The building itself is in need of some repair and the parking is a bit lacking.
That being said, I loved every bit of the rest of my experiences. The gentleman bringing food is talkative if you wish to talk and one of the most pleasant and informative hosts I have ever met. The food was plentiful, varied and absolutely delicious. My host taught me how to correctly enjoy foods that were new to me and not simply stabbed with a fork and shovelled into my mouth. I cannot overstate how much that helps with a new and different experience.
I have returned several times, bringing friends and family on occasion. I have never been disappointed with the food or service.
I'm picky and this isn't my native cuisine so I can't say if it's great or not, but I found it very tasty and piping hot. Very casual and I'm okay with that. Do plan to return. Not sure if the gentleman serving me was the owner but my server was very pleasant and next time I will try something new based upon his recommendation. I liked my visit.
Visited this restaurant for the first time tonight. I like spicy so the gentleman at the counter recommended the goat curry. My nose is still running from the spiciness but it also tasted great. I will be back for more really soon. Highly recommend
Love this place. Every time I ordered from them, I was never disappointed. Took my Indian fiancee there for the first time and their food reminded him of home. So yeah, he was happy. The people that run the place are very nice.
Best in country
I have been all over the country for the last year and this food is incredible! I had cravings for their Butter Chicken “heat level 1” for months! I always stop by when I am in town, and the owner is always very friendly and happy to talk. Thank you Parma Indian’s Cafe and Kitchen!
