How could you not like this place? Chelo's is a staple in RI. I usually get the Ultimate Steak sandwich and it's not only comforting but really delicious! The staff is always friendly and I have been coming here since I was a kid so it really makes me feel good to get a hot meal and have a sense of comfort from the good memories of my childhood. Go here, eat, leave with a belly full, be merry.
In over thirty years I've never had a complaint here. Great food, great service and fair prices. Quality is consistent across all of their locations. Newport Ave may have the edge due to Tyler n Kris.
Always delivers a good meal. We tend to go on Sundays and get the dinner & desert combo. They have a special every day of the week. Those are located on the last page of the menu(if your curious). All food is usually made right.
Those getting kids meals on Sundays
PAY ATTENTION! Every Sunday that we get kids meals the initial receipt has them listed at full price. Once we point it out they apologize and fix the error. This happens every time! EVERY SINGLE TIME without fail. So be on the lookout next time you go with the kids on a sunday.
I highly recommend the pulled chicken power salad. My every visit go to meal. Hubby had the French Meat pie - he highly recommends that as well. Food and service is consistently good
