Our dear friends recommended we meet at Due South for fine dining & a relaxed atmosphere so we could catch up with each other. Our server, Chris, was a master at knowing when to pop over when we needed something, as well as answering our many questions. Heck, he even played along with my husband's banter.
The She Crab Soup was sublime & oh so velvety good! Our salads were fresh and generously sized. The entrees were beautifully presented and also generously portioned. My husband & I both ordered the Panko Crusted Trout served over garlic mashed potatoes with steamed green beans. YUMMY!! Our friends both ordered the Potato covered Salmon served over creamed spinach and steamed asparagus. Neither one of them could finish their meals and ended up taking a box home.
Chris, the most amazing server, had over heard that we had a birthday at our table. He told the Executive Chef who offered us complimentary desserts!! We were so full, we told him we couldn't possibly eat another bite. He insisted on packaging them up for us to take home with us. Incredible, eight?!

Our server kept the Shirley Temples coming and each one was filled with extra cherries! They gave us some muffins to snack on at first. My parents liked these. My parents also liked the deviled eggs with bacon appetizer they ordered. I'm not really into deviled eggs, but I did like my pasta. My mom tried to get me to eat a bite of her lobster roll, but I wasn't going to make that mistake again! She said that this was one of the best lobster rolls she has had since she has left the New England area. My brother had a cheeseburger, but as usual, his plate got loaded up with fries. I don't know why restaurants always do that. My dad liked what he had: something with asparagus, probably some fish. I'll update when I find out. -The Blackwell Boys
Soup is great. Other foods OK to overcooked. Service was slow; otherwise I would have complained about my chicken and sent it back. Seating in booth was private, but some tables right in traffic path.
Very nice meal. Duck spring rolls, calamari, and pork spring rolls to start. I had the pecan encrusted chicken salad as a main course. Very good meal, looking forward to coming back.
Due South is very consistent. Good to very good food with good service. Been there many times. My guests have ordered ribs and fried chicken over the year and both are mediocre. Specials are always great
Excellent food and service. I took a friend there for his birthday and he loved it. We had the potato wrapped smoked salmon and it was to die for. Kudos to the chef.
Went for the first time last Friday. Nice surprise food was great and kudos to Kelly and Beth for great service!
Unexpected Treat. Our dining experience didn't start out well. Our waiter never came to our table. However, Kelsey, a waitress at another station stepped in and saved the night. Because of her we will go back!
The food was delicious and the presentation was amazing! Their menu reminded me of Two Urban Licks. The pull pork egg rolls were demonic they were so good! The potato wrapped smoked salmon...No words can adequately describe this dish.
Everything was AMAZING. Service - amazing. Atmosphere - amazing. Bread -amazing. Drinks - you get the idea. My husband and I went here for our anniversary and couldn't have been happier!!
Excellent service and the food was great. Rockelle was our server and she did a great job serving 9 people.
Food was excellent and the pecan pie (with ice cream) was insane-- BEST I ever had
Delicious food especially the chocolate cake with caramel layers and sea salt. The service was efficient and sincere...no canned responses. We sat outside and enjoyed the surroundings. Wish we would have room to try an appetizer. The three cheese mac and cheese looked amazing as did the salmon chips.
Great Food and Service is Great. Have found this great place and consistantly great food and service. I love the friend green tomatoe sandwich for lunch. The pulled pork sandwich is another favorite, but remember that one will be a bit messy, but so good.
PTC has needed a place like this for some time! It was way over DUE. Everything we had was amazing. Salads come with the meals. The only advice I have is that the chicken and waffles wasn't great. But they had the BEST collard greens I've ever had in my life and I come from a large family, born and raised right here in the south that has cooked collard greens for every holiday. Wonderful place, great service!!! Can't wait to go back
The food was really delicious and cooked very well. The service, however, lacked much. It seemed that our server forgot about us a couple of times, got an order wrong, then blamed it on the kitchen staff. Food and atmosphere this good deserves more professional staff.
My party of 7 came for a birthday dinner and we loved our experience. Our server Carlos was excellent, and provided great recommendations, but everyone at the table enjoyed their meals.
The raw oysters were top notch, and they came with a fresh, delicious mignonette sauce that added the perfect kick.
They also have an excellent draft beer selection, so be sure to ask for that menu, and an fantastic array of whiskey and scotch.
Overall, I can’t wait to come back!
Had a very nice dinner here. Food was awesome and atmosphere was great for a date night. Drink selection menu has a nice variety and price points. Our server was very attentive and polite. Thanks for a nice evening.
Bartender was great! Oysters were okay the spinach was a weird combo with the type of cheese used. The fish (cant remember ) was great, good flavor. The steak was cook at the right temperature although it didn't have much flavor, asparagus we're good and the potatoes were okay.The octopus was tender but I didn't too much care for the taste of it. Overall great staff and good atmosphere. I will be back for sure.
Loved the gatorbites (appetizer)and salmon. My partner didn't love the bbq sauce that smothered the meatloaf. He loved the meatloaf itself without the sauce. Otherwise loved our waiter and ambience.
