Drinks were great, chips and salsa are good, really like the atmosphere. The food was okay, and the service took 10 minutes to even come greet us and order drinks when it was slow. I like leaving great reviews, but the barbacoa enchiladas didn't hit me with anything special along with the rice and beans. Something was a little off with the texture. I'm not sure if it was the tomatillo or the barbacoa. I liked the place and want to try a few more dishes, but tonight didn't give me the instant 5-star review I wanted.
Vibe- This is a nice Mexican restaurant in Pearland! There’s an area for outdoor seating and PLENTY of seating inside. It’s very colorful inside :)
Customer service- Great!
Food/drinks- I got a peach margarita on the rocks to drink and I had some guacamole (chips are set out once you sit down) and tostadas without the cheese and sour cream.
Parking- There’s plenty of spots.
There are a ton of Mexican and TexMex restaurants in pearland. The thing that sets Emma’s apart is their House Margarita. It’s wonderful! Also the shrimp tacos are great. The fajita meat is seasoned really well. Heads up that the street tacos are HUGE! You only need two. Only feedback is the chips are the thicker restaurant style. Not my personal fave, but the rest makes up for it. Great kids menu with variety.
Good food! Very good portions on the enchiladas. Enchiladas Suizas were good, and the "Las Gringas" (pork cooked al pastor with pineapples in a quesadilla) was amazing.
I was really surprised by the Empanadas de res: stuffed with beef, olives, boiled egg, raisin, and walnut). Those were delicious.
Really enjoyed the cucumber margaritas along with the bravo enchiladas. Great food, clean bathrooms, handicap access, and definitely inviting my neighbors to join us next visit.
Pozole Verde is chicken and Pozole Rojo is Pork
Definitely going to visit this place again while I’m in town. The service was excellent, everyone had an amazing attitude. The food and margaritas are incredible! Check this place out if you are close by, you won’t regret it.
Owners of the original Mely's located in their best location by cinema 6, now affectionately called Emma's.
The food is very good, and the drinks are amazing. I've personally sat at the bar while they juice and make all their own fresh mixers. You can taste the difference immediately.
The best part hands down is that they have a nice size restaurant so I've personally never had to wait to be seated.
The price is on par with Gringos but while you're waiting an hour for a table at Gringos you could be sitting at Emma's drinking a cucumber margarita. One of their best in my opinion followed by the strawberry daiquiri.
First time at Emma's. I normally go to Gringos. The food was really good and large portions. We both had to go boxes. I had the Emma Caddy. So good and full of tequila. My wife had the same. We definitely will be going back. Keith
They offer a large selection of food and drinks. I've always enjoyed Emma's. This visit wasn't as good as I'm used to. I tried something new and what I got vs the menu description did not correlate well. My drink was overly sweet and it was supposed to be spicy.
Had an absolutely great time there. Food was amazing and the service was incredible my water glass never became empty. The waitress was on point, she was never over bearing nor super absent. We had quite a bit of leftovers we took home. Definitely will be returning.
First time eating here and it is now #1 in Pearland in our list for Mexican Food. Definitely a Yucatan flavor but they serve Tex Mex favorites as well Melanie took excellent care of us. Their house Margarita was excellent not overly lime flavored very balanced. We had the Frijoles appetizer which was AMAZING (not pictured) It has Panela Cheese on top which has a flavor profile like Monterey Jack Cheese. This was one of the best appetizers I had at a Mexican food restaurant in a long time. I had pork tamales which were to die for. So flavorful and the gravy and sauce they use only adds to the flavor. My Fiance had Yucatan Enchiladas with Conchinita Pabil (pork) and their Jalapeño Fizz. I tried both and can say they also were amazing. She loved all of it as well. Beans and rice were flavorful and did not take away from the main dishes. The atmosphere was awesome great restaurant overall. We will definitely be regulars.
Atmosphere of this place is AWESOME. Great selection of food. Not sure if they do it on purpose but all our plates were so bland. We just added our own salt and it was good to go. The bar is crazy good and so are their selection of mixed drinks and margaritas. The service was good. We will come back.
Visiting family they brought us to dinner at Emma's Mex Grill, was delicious.
We ordered Margaritas 🍹 they also had Cucumber Margaritas surprisingly they were very refreshing. We had the pork belly tacos and the carnita tacos. Carnita tacos were ok, the meat was in big chunks not too appetizing but the pork belly they were scrumptious. The wait staff very attentive also, had a great time.
