My wife, son, and I recently dined at "Los Tacos" in Pembroke Pines and here's our experience:
Upon entering on a Friday night, we were pleasantly surprised by a live mariachi performance. This was an exceptional touch that made our experience memorable. Our son was captivated by the music, and as a musician myself, I truly appreciated their skill and the ambiance they created.
Food-wise, the "Taco Locos" stood out with its mix of Asada and Pastor tacos accompanied by green and red sauces. The taste was impeccable. However, the beverages fell short. We ordered two Horchatas which, unfortunately, tasted watered-down. It lacked the authentic richness we were anticipating.
Our dessert choice was the "fried" ice cream. While it was presented with a coconut layer, it lacked the expected crunch and felt somewhat stale. The saving grace was the caramel drizzle, which gave the dessert some redeeming flavor.
As for service, it was a mixed bag. We were initially greeted warmly, but the service during our meal was lackluster. It felt like our waitress wasn't particularly invested, which dampened our mood a bit.
The ambiance, though reminiscent of quaint restaurants I've visited abroad, did not fully resonate with me on this occasion.
In summary, while there were highlights like the tacos and mariachi, some aspects, particularly the drinks and service, need improvement. I'd rate it 4 out of 5 stars overall.

Delicious and high quality food. Portion size was excellent. I had the wet burrito

Taco Tuesday means Los Tacos! This is our go to place when we need to satisfy our craving for tacos. The Guacamole is amazing and the service is great. Definitely give this place a try!
Melissa Lecaro
Food was delicious. My favorite is the famous burrito loco with wet sauce
jorge felipe grijalba huertas
Great local place for Mexican food, their burritos are really tasty and could feed 2 people easily. Recommend going on their Taco Tuesdays, mini nachos are also good!.

The place is located in a small shopping plaza. The service is super kind. The place is clean and it does have restrooms. The menu items are so delicious. The prices are fair and the place was getting full as we were eating. It is a family place and it does have access for wheelchairs. We are definitely coming back to try more dishes.

The BEST fish tacos I have ever had! They are truly AMAZING. — Several people insisted that I try them, and they were SO DELICIOUS. The serving includes three tacos that come on a small bed of coleslaw for crunch and dressing. They’re also topped with pico de gallo. The fish on EACH taco is an entire fillet (not bits and pieces of fish). So very yummy!

I would recommend this place. We were taken care of by Diana who was very polite, knowledgeable, friendly & attentive.
The food was great. I had the wet burrito and it was delicious, my partner had Mole Xico & it was delicious. My mom had tacos de carne asada and we didn’t like it. The meat seems as if it was boiled and then grilled. It had a specific taste- not carne asada taste. We told this to Diana and she apologized right away, took it off the bill without us even asking.
It was a really great experience! We definitely will be back!
Thank you Los Tacos🙏🏽

I used to go to this place like once every two months or so, but unfortunately this is going to be the last.
Last Monday the 17th we arrived at 8:25pm and as soon as we seated the waiter told us to hurry up in order the food because the kitchen will close at 9, but the issue was they way she approached and told us made us feel rushed and then to complete when we got our food it wasn't not even ok. Never had the food like that before. It's a shame..!😒

Sorry to say this visit was a mess. We come al.ost every Saturday after church. I advised the waitress that we are celebrating my friends birthday. We ordered cips and queso. When she brought it out, we had no plates or spoon for queso. We waited a while for her to return with a spoon and plates. Usually, they bring out plates once you sit. We ordered our meal and sangria to celebrsir. We were waiting and waiting for our food. The entire dining room got their food, and there was no sign of our waitress. Suddenly, we see her coming in the front door with Dunkin Doughnuts! When we got our food, it was luke warm, and we were too hungry to complain. When I got the bill I had 2 receipts with 2 different prices. My friend said they probably gave us dessert for her birthday. When I enquired another lady came and said she wod fix it. When she came back it seems 1 recipe didnt have the sangria charge. She now gave me an additional bill for the choros. I was shocked and said I thought those were on the house for the birthday, and she said no. Not happy birthday, not I'm sorry about the confusion or that we were to busy getting Dunkin Doughnuts instead of serving you. So sad to say this used to be our favorite place.

All of our food was delish, we ate at the place, everything was served hot and very nicely presented, prices are good for the quality and quantity of food you get, the place is nicely decorated and they were very accommodating with my young toddler

Good food, very tasty

If I could give the place less than one star I would. I ate at the Plantation location in February 2018 with a coworker. First, the salsa chips you served us were completely old and stale. When I asked the server for another basket, the second basket was just as bad. When I asked her how old they were, she had the temerity to tell us that they make the chips fresh every day on premises, and this was the way they were supposed to taste! Are you kidding me? As if that wasn't enough, I had the three mini taco carnitas, and the pork/salsa was seriously old. It was like it was made the previous week and sat in the pot in the refrigerator for days. And it was so salty I couldn't eat it. I can’t believe you served me this old food. I wanted to refuse to pay because the food was so bad, but my coworker said she didn’t want to make a scene and instead paid for me. Funny, I took a “to go” box so as not to offend my coworker, and when I got home tried to feed it to the ducks - even they wouldn't eat it! I would never go back there again....terrible. aggggh.

If it wasn't for Zomato I would never have even known this place existed. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I did Taco Tuesdays with three friends. The place is small, so I don't think I'd want to try dining there on a weekend, but we arrive around 6 and there were plenty of tables, but they got busy after that. We got guacamole and chips and they brought salsa complementary and even refilled the chips at no cost so that was cool. I got the Faji Tacos W/ carne asada and they were great and the portion is substantial. I'm super gringa, so I've no idea if the food is "authentic", but one of my girlfriends is Mexican and she said the food was pretty good. I'll return for sure :)

This food was sooooooo delicious!! Chicken and shrimp quesadillas were bomb and churrasco was amazing! Also the pineapple soda was really good. Chips and dips were slappin(good) too
Javi
Great place, great food and good atmosphere. We had the wet steak burrito and nachos Ignacio on point! And a nice cold Pacifico Beer.
Rhcollazo
Horrible. Never again.. The chips and salsa come with only spicy salsa. No other choice. Therefor if you domt like apicy you are screwed. The margaritas are made on a punch, nasty. I ordered 3 "carnitas" tacos and all they came with was the flour tortilla, the shredded beef and the onions. I asked if anything else came with it and they said i have to pay for PICO or sour cream. Never again.

Dont waste your money.
Terri_johnson
Awful. The worst I have had. I would rather have Chipotle and thas saying alot. I tried to order the chicken enchiladas with steak. They brought me tacos drenched in a green tomatillo sauce which was just plain with little flavor.

I thought I could find authentic Mexican but it doesn't exist outside of homestead. Save your money and time.

Best Mexican food in South Florida! My wife and I eat out a lot, but we always go to this restaurant at least once a week. My favorite dish is the Mexican Lasagna and for the appetizer, I always get the guacamole and chips. The guacamole is always fresh and homemade. My wife loves the Sopes with chicken. If your in the mood for tacos, I recommend the Tacos Locos. If your in the mood for a margarita , I recommend the Sexy Berry. The service is great thanks to Brian, Diana, Veronica, Annie and Erica! My only gripe is that I hope they get a bigger location, since this place is usually packed.
Nina
Good food. Wet burrito was delish. as well as guacamole. a little over priced but definitely good food.
Bolona5
Fab time. This place is the yo bomb shizzle. It has s w a g. you like tacos? dont come here they serve burgers. i think the meat might be children

Miami Culinary Tours
Awesome Pines Taqueria. Their Award-Winning Wet Burrito was what I expected and more! Cheesy, meaty, dense, and very fulfilling. Order this when you visit!
Lynnsurok
High hopes. Looked promising... very convenient in location...
The place has an authentic look but the food is far from that. The service was great but i don't think know what real Mexican food is, i asked for queso and they brought me crema.SMH. my heart is still searching. Push comes to shove i just might need to start an authentic Mexican restaurant... Andale abuelita!!!!
Ald06e
This place sucks! Worst margaritas ever! The chicken tacos tasted like tuna fish.
Brooke Swint
Really tasty! The sauces are the best I've had in SFLA. Need to try more dishes soon! Friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent service! I wish we had one in Coral Springs.
Andy
I love the food at this place, it's a little small but great for a quick lunch or bite out. Now the service lacks a lot I went in with my family and from the bar was yelled to sit anywhere so we took the table at the corner by the door. After we ordered from a guy that was very polite. The wait was pretty long for the food the chips that are normally put out as courtesy werent brought to us we had to ask a waiter girl that was wandering around. She brought it out about ten min later. Our food finally arrived by then our cups were empty and we were waiting on someone to refill our drinks no one came to the table after the food was served. We again tried to get the waiter attention and she looked away. I was so mad we paid our bill and left our food there. I love the place and food just the service really sucks I heard that only when the owner is there its good to go the employees really are different.
Salma Rosas
The best mexican. Is an amazing place, excellent food, service ..i loved it
service super... habanero enchiladas surprisme a lot...and my idol dan marino was there that night ...that make it even better...
Alberto Bustamante
This taqueria is overrated. I'll give it credit for steering away from regular tex-mex or Americanized Mexican food but that's about it. Margaritas tasted like the bottle concoction Publix sells, tacos are over stuffed and their seasoning is ok to bad. Try 'Agave Azul" on 84th/595 for a closer Mexican taste. Ambiance and service were the high note of my experience as the staff really worked to serve and satisfy.

First time. I went for the first time last night after it was recommendeded to me and I saw the rating on this site. I must say that this seems pretty authentic as far as Mexican restaurants go. The food was pretty good. I had a pork burrito. The berry margarita was also pretty good. It seems that the people that go there are regular customers. The only problem I have with it is that is is in a poorly situated space in a strip mall. Although it is on a major road, it has low visibility. I also would recommend this place if you want truly authentic Mexican food.
Claudia
SO AMAZING. I can't get over how much I love this place! The food is amazing! I have eaten here several times and each time I am happier than the next! My favorites are Tacos al Pastor. It is right across the street from my house and it is our go-to restaurant. I am always happy to see the place is packed because they deserve it!

AND I LOVE THAT THERE IS NO CHEDDAR IN SIGHT! REAL MEXICAN RECIPES. NO TEX MEX NONSENSE!
Mehroz Howell
Let me tell you, I know good food. And this is probably the best Mexican food I have ever had! Dont let the size fool you. It's a small restaurant, but has the most cozy, friendly atmosphere, and the food is absolutely amazing. You cannot go wrong with anything. Try this place out, you will not regret it!
Ramon Rosa
I went last week. Let me tell you the ceviche tostada was amazing and the cochinita pibil tacos was excellent. They really pay attention to detail.
Colby
Well, it was good, but I wouldn't really called authentic Mexican food though. More like Cuban/ Mexican lol. The. "Wet Burrito" is big and fills you up, but it's lacking true south of the border taste! And honestly the prices are a bit high for the food you get! I like this place because it gives you the option of another Mexican restaurant to choose from in the area.
Henry A
For those thinking this is Cuban or Latin food ! NO. This is authentic Mexican Bistro I went on Mothers Day and the service was amazing and the food so goooood! Love it
Alejandra Varela
Best authentic Mexican restaurant around!!! The staff is amazing, extremely friendly and very approachable, I have nothing but great things to say about this place my favorite dishes are the habanero cream enchiladas, fish tacos, and wet burrito. If you enjoy authentic Mexican food this is the place for you, if you don't know about authentic Mexican food Taco Bell is down the street.
JessiCari
Disappointed. Not Authentic Mexican Food. Unfriendly staff, no good customer service.I will not be returning again, I prefer El Agave Azul!!
Sarah
Definitely authentic Mexican cuisine, affordable and friendly service in a small homey atmosphere. Great restaurant for family dinners and dates.
Joe Crenshaw
Cuban food masquerading as Mexican food.

Food is bland and lacks the flavor of authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex food.

The refried beans are just l
pureed black beans.

Pass on this

Best Mexican Food in South Florida. I lived in California for 3 years, and quite often traveled to Tijuana, Ensenada, Rosarito, Puerto Vallarta. "I Love Tacos" has the best quality authentic Mexican food, and it is my 2nd favorite ever mexican restaurant. Prices are modest, the place is pretty small, but the food quality and taste is unreal good.

Among my favorites: Habanero Enchiladas, Tacos Carne Asada, and two specials: Sope and Haban
Jay Harper
The Best Tacos EVER!!!!. Just wanted to take a moment and tell everyone about this awesome Taco joint in Pembroke Pines. The place is clean and the service is friendly and competent. Now onto the food...

Incredible!

Anything you get will blow your mind! Try the wet burrito for a change of pace - absolutely delicious!

Enjoy!
Daniela

Great place. My wife and I were here for dinner (first time) and we loved it! The service was excellent, quick, and friendly. The food was delivered quick and hot. I had the "Wet Burrito" and my wife and the "Tacos Flauta". Both were excellent! We definitely recommend this restaurant!
Mauricio Garcia
This is the best authentic mexican food that I have tried in Miami. Make sure to try the pomegranate margarita, it's the sexiest drink I ever tasted. Really cool place.
Selwyn
One of the best places to eat. The food is awesome. The service exceptional. Give I Love Tacos a try.
Ultimate Foodie
This is the kind of place that deserves to be on a tv show as one of the best eateries in the world.

The wet burrito redefines the burrito period. Excellent food. Gourmet Mexican.
Luisreyna2004

I love this place. Great food, great service and a great owner. My wife and I sat at the bar and enjoyed great food while the owner showed us all the different items on the menu as it made it's way to the tables. If you want authentic Mexican food prepared fresh, this is the place to go.

See you there.

EXQUISITO. Guacamole, Sopes de Cochinita Pibli and Churros. The place is small but full of flavor, great service and nice atmosphere. Congratulations to the owners. They have a niche of Mexico en Pembroke Pines and great staff. Next time I am in Florida I will visit I Love Tacos again.
Jda1962
Bad food & servcie. I was there last night with my family, nice little place but that all, first the food was bad it taste old and spoil. The service was about the same it took about 45min to bring our food. It was a waste of my gas going there. Also it was not busy for a Thursday.

IF you know what Mexican food is... Some people think they know Mexican food, cause they visited the big chain restaurants or fast food... IF YOU WANT THE REAL DEAL!!!... Go to I love Tacos! BEST TAQUERIA ON PINES. Eat and learn what real Mexican food is. NOT TEX MEX like the others... I personally recommend everything on the menu.. I just wish they will start making sopapillas.....
John Jordan
Amazing authentic Mexican food. If you are expecting cheese whiz covered nachos and sour cream in everything, guess again because that is tex-mex or American-mex. The food is always great and the ingredients fresh. The wait staff is always friendly too. Try it and I am sure you will be back with friends.
Andrew
I love tacos. This place is great authentic Mexican food. Always get the steak tacos and extra salsa.
Melanie
Really delicious. Finally no frills, authentic Mexican out here in the suburbs! Only problem - the restaurant name is misleading like its just a taco stand, it's way more than that.
Jennifer Lynn
The best Mexican food in south Florida - I've already been twice this week & will continue to go here ! Very, very good !!
Gilda Albarran
Great Authentic Mexican Food!!!. My husband and I recently moved to FL and have officially found our favorite Mexican Restaurant! I LoveTacos. The best Mexican food in Pembroke Pines. The food is delicious, I highly recommend this place. During my visit to the restaurant, I discovered the chef is a world famous Mexican Chef, Omar. Please don't forget to try the churras, they are amazing, and the Margaritas are great.

Best Mexican food I. Town! I love it! The best tacos... And micheladas!!!
Mickey G.B.
WOW!. 100% Mexican!
The food is second to none.
Every time I have the chicken tacos, I go back in time to the summer of '94 when I went to Mexico City and little Lupe broke my heart...
All the tacos are very good, the queso fundido is a must and you can't leave without ordering the CHURROS, they are fantastic.
C.E.
Simply the best!. The best Tacos in town!
Friendly staff and super prices.

Arriba Mexico, simply the best food!
Mauricio
This place is great! I dont really have words to describe how excellent the food is. One night me and my wife wanted to eat Mexican food but there wasn't really a place that we knew was good around our area in Pembroke pines, we decided to google it and boom, we ran into I love tacos. We went there not knowing what to expect. I always try the guacamole as it usually tells you how good the food is going to be, well, it blew me away... It is the best guacamole I've had. We ordered the el pastor tacos and the tostadas... They were amazing!! I've been there 4 times since then, I believe the first time we were there it was mid march. The service is absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable about the meals they serve. I had the best wet burrito I thought to be a gourmet burrito for around $10. You can't beat this!! Highly recommended!
Aida
Sabroso..... I have tried different items from the menu and had never been disappointed. I will recommended to anyone. great food at great prices.
Chio
Best mexican restaurant. The best authentic mexican restaurant in pembroke pines. Good quality food and the best prices.
Nadya
I love tacos!! Not only is that a true statement but it's also the name of a new restaurant on pines blvd and 178 street. This restaurant brought back so many memories for me, not because I've been there before but because growing up my stepfather loved to find little Mexican mom and pop restaurants and try them out. Unfortunately, he's no longer here to try them out with us, but I know he would have loved this one. For drinks they have your regular stuff but they also have orchata and jarritos, which are traditional Hispanic drinks. My mom had the orchata and loved it. Next was appetizer. We order the queso fundido, which is a big bowl of melted cheese topped with ground beef and served with tortillas. If you like cheese, this is the way to go. We also got to try their nachos, which were loaded with onions, tomatoes, beans, ground beef, cheese sauce, and crumbled cheese on top. Now the only reason why we got these was because the hubby ordered a steak and they had run out of steaks so

Who doesn't love tacos? I know I do and with my love for the little Mexican treat why not go to a place called I Love Tacos.
