What a great find!!
Beautiful homey little Diner right in the Village, with great food and most likely the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had!! The tavern ham they use has great flavor and make sure you the locals homemade hot sauce it has great flavor and medium heat.
And on top of all that Tabby and Violet you are the definition of awesome service and what service should be with a smile!!! Thank you and I'm looking forward to my next trip through Penn Yan.
We had the breakfast sandwich with home fries - real potatoes, not frozen. Breakfast was great. Coffee was very good. Excellent service and a great dining experience in this authentic retro diner!
Sunday 12/17/23 What a charming place! We ate at the bar and watched our meal being made. Everyone was smiling and so pleasant. Our breakfast portions were generous and delicious! Real ingredients used and obviously made with love. We will certainly be back! Thank you!
Super cute for a 98 year old diner! Their omelets were good. Very cozy and antique inside
All the dishes we had were outstanding! The server was attentive as well. It's a retro diner as advertised and I thought it was well done and cozy. I would have taken a few pictures inside but it was a little too intrusive with all the patrons.
Got the Banana Crunch French Toast, food and service was excellent. There was a debate among the locals on what was better The Diner or The Wagner across the street, they’re both great but when I’m back out here the diner is my favorite!
A small diner with terrific food, service and old time feel! We sat at the counter and had a Birds Eye view of the cooks! They do an amazing job in such a small place! July wife has a gluten allergy and they made sure they changed gloves before starting to cook her meal!
Great food, and super friendly staff. Well worth the stop. The only downside is that this place is SMALL. A lot of side stepping and squeezing through to get to our table and the restroom. Don't let it turn you off, though. Great diner.
Such a cute place! Worth the experience and history! Food was delicious and service was good! Place is a bit crowded feeling because it's small but that's part of the experience. Just go with a flexible plan, understanding there may not be room when you go and may require waiting a little while or coming back another time.
A wonderful bit of old fashioned Americana right smack in the middle of the computer age! It was Sunday morning, we went in, they took my cell number and texted me when we could be served. We waited about 20 minutes. We sat at the end of the counter where all the cooking action takes place. You use your phone camera to snap the QR code and your menu appears on your phone! Pancakes, buckwheats, waffles, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, hot coffee and decaf too! Lunch items, French onion soup. You want it, they got it in a 1925 dining car. It's a meal and a show all at once. Great buckwheat pancakes. If I lived in Penn Yan, I'd eat there every weekend! Great food and lots of nostalgia and just plain FUN!
