our server was great! i should have asked her name. the food great portion for the price i would say. we are visiting pensacola for family vacation & i am glad i looked this place up. worth visiting. delicious & authentic filipino food!! we got the lumpia for appetizer, my husband got the chicken adobo & i got pork sinigang, sarap!!
A taste of the Philippines. Food was fresh and quick. Staff excellent the it felt like being back in the Philippines.
The food taste was just ok, i had the pineapple chicken soap with rice, my wife had the super spicy steak and rice, and our friends had the Siki entre. The food taste was just ok, not super good as in other places. The chicken was chunks of chicken cut from the chicken and boiled in water then thrown in the pineapple soup ( please see picture), and the steak was chewy and super spicy. The atmosphere and service were very good. Awesome job from the servers. As soon as a dish is empty, they come and grab it and clean the table, good job servers. The atmosphere is vibrant and awesome keroke
Food was great! The server was very nice and attentive.
Came for lunch and everything was delicious. Food here is pretty authentic and I've had my fair share of Filipino food. Definitely a must try for those wanting to expand their culinary palette.
Food may look intimidating, especially if you aren't accustomed to Filipino food, but give it a try.
The sisig and lechon were on point. Felt right at home
Great service and food. We always enjoy.
My wife and I are visiting from Atlanta to see our son at the Marine base. Breakfast/Brunch was great. The lumpia and one of the egg dishes with sausage was my breakfast. My wife who is Phillipino tried 6 others and was excited for each. Prices are low and portions are big. Not the nicest building but it doesn’t take away from the food. Highly recommend for authentic Philippine food.
Hidden away but worth finding. Ordered lumpia appetizer and thin noodle pork pancit. Only complaint was there was a lot of fat on the pork. Portion was huge, fed two and still had leftovers. Will be back to try other dishes. Friendly and helpful staff.
I can’t rave enough about Ruby Gin. Every time I go, it’s fantastic. The food tastes amazing but it’s also impressive that they can be so consistent. There has never been any kind of issue. The staff are the sweetest ladies I’ve ever met in my life. They will help answer questions, give recommendations, and are so kind. I’ve tried ordering something new each time but I’ve got my favorites. (Spicy sisig with eggs! 🤤) Pork adobo and igado is also a favorite for me.
The last time I was there, a huge lunch rush had hit unexpectedly. There were no tables, but the staff was so quick and efficient. I haven’t seen any other restaurants in this area handle being busy so gracefully. Everything about Ruby Gin is just incredible. By far, my favorite place to eat in Pensacola. Hands down.
This place is THE place for Filipino food.
The food is ALWAYS delicious, they give a military discount, and the staff is great.
I've never dined in so I can't speak to that. I always call in pick-up orders. The issue I have with that is that language barrier sometimes. I have a very difficult time understanding some of the staff that pick up. The gentleman that works there is very easy to understand. I love it.
Great food, had the beef broccoli. Cooked nicely and served in a timely manner. Unfortunately, they did not have the karaoke machine set up which we were looking forward to tonight. Tables were not cleaned when we arrived but they got it done when it was brought to attention. Reasonable pricing for what's offered on the menu.
Good food, fast service and they let me sing even its not the weekend yet.
Only downside is
ATTN: The tip is already included in your total didn't realize it so they get extra more in cash just the heads up for people that vacationing. Over all a great staff and food.!
This is my most favorite Filipino restaurant ever! It's Hands down the best that I know of. I could eat the chicken adobo everyday!! Please let me know if there's one that compares! I'd love to go there too!!
First time here and we loved it. It has been a minute since I had Adobo so we had to try the chicken and the pork! They were great and do was then Pancit. Had Sisig for the first time and enjoyed it also. I have found my Filipino food spot!
Best Filipino food in Pensacola! So much food for the price. Make sure you try their lumpia and chicken pancit. My husband always tries something new everytime we go and he is never disappointed. Service is always good. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
Craved chicken adobo and lompia today. Stopped for lunch for the first time at Ruby-Gin. Speed of service and portions was very good. The adobo didn't have enough flavor from the seasonings nor the vinegar. The lumpia tasted fine but everything blended together and nothing stood out, nor could I identify the ingredients inside the casing. Apparently the restaurant is pet friendly. A customer brought in an annoying barking dog that was no way a service animal. It made a mess on the floor with its water and food bowl as it kept barking.
Appreciate watching a few groups of Filipino's coming in so I have to believe the food is too their liking. I will return for a different dish that I saw look really good.
UPDATE: Returned for another dish. Service was good. The BBQ pork had real good flavor. The Pancit lacked flavor and pretty blan so I asked for some Adobo sauce that brought it to life. Still think the lumpia are small.
The lumpia were delicious! We ordered chicken fried rice which was also great. The pancit was just okay and not very flavorful like traditional pancit I’ve had elsewhere. The portions were large.
Delicious authentic Filipino food. Had the pork sinigang that comes with rice. Large portion with soups so make sure to bring someone along cause I had lots to take out. Their open sign says open at 11am. Not crowded.
Someone recommended this place to us when we visited the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL. We ordered Palabok, Bicol Express, Sisig, Adobong Pusit. The Bicol Express- a must try! Sisig is great. The Palabok still has room for improvement, maybe some crunch and a tastier sauce or fish flakes (optional). Overall, I still give this place 5 star. The server is very friendly. You feel very welcome.
