First time here... had a GREAT experience! Loved the 1/2 inside and 1/2 outside meat on the sandwich... and the potato salad is VERY good, had to order some to go for home later!! Will definitely be back... And don't forget to try "THE SAUCE."

I have ordered the BBQ sample plate, Fried Chicken and Pecan Pie. The pie is amazing !!! It’s so good. I didn’t get a lot of BBQ sauce on my meat (so I couldn’t give 5 stars). Fried Chicken is just ok (I would prefer more flavor in it).

I have been going here since I was a kid. The BBQ, the sides and other choices are quality home cooking. The service is always great and prices are amazing for the food you get. If you like BBQ or even if you don’t definitely worth the stop.

Wonderful BBQ pulled pork sandwich served with their homemade BBQ sauce. We bought a bottle of sauce to take home! Delightful staff. Tasty coleslaw and delicious baked macaroni and cheese! I wish I lived closer!

Nothing was good except the potato cakes, I don't eat meat so I had all sides, collards, baked beans and potato cakes they literally just boiled the greens and slapped them on the plate, nothing was seasoned. I will never go again 😑. Everybody that eats here must have high blood pressure for the amt

This is the best southside virginia style bbq by far. The wood/smoke they use sets it apart i believe. The sauce is vinegar/tomato/mustard base and terrific, but really the pork is incredible without it. 70+ years, authentic, fantastic VA atmosphere and hospitality, awesome coleslaw, tasty & golden

I always thought they had such great Barbeque but the last few times I went the beef was chewy. The pork dry and had a lot of tough skin and the coleslaw was runny. Such a bummer! Whatever has changed I hope it goes back before another fine classic eatery goes down the drain!
