Best cheese steak I've had. It's big. It's juicy. It's filling. You're gonna have to wait in line for it, but it's worth it. My favorite part is how the cheese is melted and makes every bite rich and creamy. Just a great sandwich

The Cheesesteak was delicious. We waited about 35 minutes to get our food. Thankfully, we found street parking. You cannot go inside. You order your food at the right window. Then you wait until your name is called and then go to the left window to pay and pick up your food. They text you as well. They only accept cash. There is an ATM outside the restaurant. However, it was out of order when we were there. They have 3 tables outside to sit and eat. It was raining so we ate in our car. I am glad we tried it and will go back again when visiting Philadelphia.

Excellent Steak Hoagies here! **Cash only!** 💵 There was street parking available. Long lines but they have a very smooth and efficient process. One window is for a worker to take your order. The service is direct and to the point. The other is for the customer to pay and pick up your order. They will call you by the name you provide when your order is ready. You won’t be disappointed.

First off, I would give Dalessandro's 4.5☆ if Google allowed! We went at 11:30am and had no issue with a line and ordered/received our food quickly. The staff were friendly enough and repeated back our order, which I always appreciate. There is a small section of outdoor seating, but mainly this is a takeout place. The steaks are excellent, but not perfect! Steak meat needs a little seasoning. I tasted it by itself and it was rather bland. There could always be a little more cheese IMO, but overall there was enough. Sandwich is loaded up well as you can see in the pics and most toppings are included. Fried onions are just right on texture and the roll is spectacular! Great steak sandwich, worth a visit, but not sure it cracks my top 3!

Coming from Cincinnati, these Philly Cheese steaks were GREAT! Was a 45 minute wait, but it was totally worth it. So much volume and flavor. I'll certainly be back.

One of the best cheese steak sandwich I had in a while, My order was a cheesesteak with fried onions, American cheese, and pepperoni. Please note this is a cash only place. You are able to place an order over the phone to skip the long line. I did end up going back twice. No matter the time a line would form! This place is a must-try!

After trying other cheesesteaks during my visits to the Philadelphia area over the years, I finally made my way to Dalessandro's. I stopped by at around 9pm on a Wednesday night and luckily there were only a few people there. I easily found street parking nearby at that time. The system they have is very efficient. You place your order and then wait for your name to come up on the large screen there. Once your name appears, you go to the other window to pay and pick up your item. Besides from the cheesesteak variations, there are also hoagies, burgers and salads as well as a few dessert options. I was surprised at the wide variety of beer they carried...quite an extensive list. I was also surpised at how reasonable the prices were...for a place of their notariety. Cheesesteaks and all sandwich (hoagie) item are $12-14 and are pretty hefty. Beer is about $5. Although the cheesesteak appeared pretty plain, it was very good. I enjoyed the flavor of the steak and how finely it is chopped. Just enough cheese without being overpowering. It definitely is a bit different from other cheesesteaks I've had, but is preferred. There is some outdoor seating there. They are Cash Only.

The cheesesteaks are pretty good but I don’t think they are worth standing in an unorganized line for 45 mins. We went on a Saturday during lunch time so I’m assuming that’s probably the busiest time. The lady who runs the line could be nicer. Although they have an ATM it’s a little inconvenient they don’t accept card.

This is my favorite spot to get a cheesesteak! Its a small spot with street parking only- but they have a good system set up with a kiosk to keep the line flowing!! I have never had a bad experience here. There are little tables to sit at and they sell beer as well to enjoy with your steak.

The line and ordering system takes some getting used to, but if you ask the locals, they'll be happy enough to tell you how it all works. The wait was rather long, but if you're driving down from North Jersey, it's worth the wait. The cheese steak sandwich with provolone and fried onions and peppers was so moist and flavourful. Once you started eating, there was no putting it down. Half a sandwich each made us regret not buying two more for the road back home. Would we come back? Absolutely, right after a two day fast and a jog. Hands down best cheese steak, but a statement like that would spark some controversy. You decide

We ordered four steaks. The food is good, hot, and fresh. There's usually a line and you must pay with cash. You have to wait about 10+ minutes for your steak, but it's worth it. The portions are large and you can easily split one with someone else. We ordered the mushroom cheese steak, chicken cheese steak, and a cheese steak with peppers. There are plenty of add-ons to choose from such as lettuce, tomato, various peppers, mayo, etc. The only seating options are picnic tables outside with umbrellas. This place does not disappoint and the service is good as well.

My order was fantastic!! You can tell how fresh the sandwich is when you bite into it. Definitely needed this for how cold it was getting in Philadelphia yesterday. Thank you!!! I will be back.

Cheesesteaks we had were yummy. Just needed salt, lacked some flavor and maybe mix the onions with the steak, not just on top. 😀. Overall service was great and can’t wait to go back!

I've heard this is the best one in Philly but honestly it was good but not great. As many people already commented, the meat needs seasoning. I ordered one with cheese and fried onions It's also annoying that the onions were not mixed in but just dumped on top. Cheese and ketchup are on the bottom, not mixed in and it could have used more cheese. On the plus side the bread was perfect and still very good, just not as good as people hyped it up to be.

Came here to carbo load the day before the Philadelphia Marathon. It was a long wait but luckily our party got a table. We enjoyed the pepper steak with banana peppers hoagie and the variety of chips they offered.

Dalessandro's has been on my list of places to stop for a while now. Decided to detour to Philly on my way back from a vacation to grab a cheesesteak. It's cash only and has no dining room but has some tables outside (I shared one with a nice family). Ordered at the window and my order was ready surprisingly fast considering they were fairly busy. Got a cheesesteak with whizz, onions, and sweet peppers. The steak was served on the perfect Philly roll and had the right amount of toppings and steak. Could've used a touch more whizz. Will ask for it next time because I'll definitely stop back when I'm in Philly again.
