The atmosphere set the tone for what became a most enjoyable dining experience. The stylish black dining room decor with gold trim was elegant. Art deco accents added an exclamation point to the beautifully appointed interior. The Rat Pack stylized music brought the entire package together. The service was friendly, attentive and professional. The food was very good. The Rittenhouse Cut prime rib was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The 16 oz. Ribeye was tender, juicy and seasoned just right. The sides were good compliments but portion sizes were smaller than similar steakhouses in the area at the same price point. Our wine The Franc a California Cab Franc was good but served above ideal temperature. The wine selection was not extensive with only a handful of selections per region. Overall though a fine dining experience.

The food and hospitality was incredible! Incredibly charming atmosphere with well mannered guests and great servers. The restaurant should be ranking as one of the best to eat in Philadelphia - definitely made its mark on the dining scene. I will most definitely be returning.

Feast your eyes (and your taste buds) on the ultimate foodie experience at Rittenhouse Grill in the heart of Philly! From sizzling steaks to succulent seafood, this spot has got it all. This year is a special year for the Rittenhouse Grill as they are celebrating their 25 year anniversary! I had a chance to chat with owner Garth Weldon for a bit during our dinner and learned a bit about the restaurant’s history. This independent and local owned restaurant made its first appearance in Philadelphia back in 1998 and had been attracting loyal customers ever since - including celebrities, politicians, athletes and other well known visitors to the area! Garth had originally entered the restaurant scene as a bus boy at the Prime Rib chain’s location in Washington D.C. and after being promoted to numerous times throughout the years, knew he was the right person for the job when the chain had decided to open up another location here in Philadelphia. Located within walking distance of Rittenhouse Row, the restaurant rebranded as Rittenhouse Grill in 2020. The staff consists of 35 people; many of who have been employed there for over a decade. Even the Executive Chef Eddy Castillo has been overseeing operations there since 2009. Every dish we tried was absolutely heavenly, but my favorite has to be that hot seafood tower!

It was pretty good. I mostly came because of the excellent live piano player. Service at the bar was less than attentive. Beef and lobster were high quality. Cooked pretty much to order. I ordered the filet rare+. It was pretty much rare, but I'd rather have the kitchen err in that direction than overdoing it. 08/16/2024. Had a perfect prime rib, and it was HUGE. I couldn't even finish it. Same great piano player.

Just such an incredibly classy and consistent dining experience. From the minute you walk in, it just feels comfortable. Some wonderful piano to go with a fantastic dinner never hurts either!

Absolutely amazing!!!! I ordered the filet special with lump crab topping, asparagus and Bernaise and added baked potato. Hubby had the salmon with au gratins and sautéed mushrooms. Clans casino and escargot apps. I could have cut the perfectly cooked filet with a butterknife The texture was perfect. Evey singfe thing we ordered was perfectly done. The cheesecake is to die for. I'll definitely be coming back. Our waiter Dylan was so attentive and not overbearing.

Came to Rittenhouse Grill as part of a celebration for our wedding day and were completely blown away by the quality of our dinner, the service, the ambience; everything was sensational. The grill boasts the finest ingredients served as they should be, simple and elegant. The decor is timeless and the calibre of waitstaff was outstanding. Will absolutely be planning a return trip in the future.

I went to the prime rib on a Saturday night for a date with my girlfriend. Bee staff was very courteous and polite. The food was excellent. If you are looking for a place to go to enjoy your evening that is elegant and has live music playing in the background while you enjoy your dinner this is the place to be. I will definitely be visiting the prime rib again. And by the way the state that I had there as you can see was definitely large in one of the best that I have had in the Philadelphia area.

Came for a quick bite and drinks, before a show at the Helium for date night. So I cannot be a judge of the actual food. However, we ordered coconut shrimp, angus sliders, and potato wedges during happy hour. Honestly, it was basic bar food, but the service was great, atmosphere cool and relaxed, live pianist. I wasn’t in love with my drink, the bartender was a sweetie pie and made a margarita to my liking. This place gave a very old school, old Hollywood vibe… think Frank Sinatra and Ginger Rogers stopping by here to have a late night dinner after an award show. It’s that vibe… and I love it. We will be back!

Beef tartar is just average, even though the raw beef have excellent quality and freshness, the seasoning is lack of something, I prefer not go with beef tartar. Their prime ribs is the best prime ribs I ever had, no doubt. Despite its thickness, it’s softer than butter, melt in your mouth. The $66 whole cut is enough for 2 people, and still left some of it. My girl ordered their veal chop, also is the best I ever had.... keep it up prime ribs!!

Amazing experience. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. We loved the food, the service and the live piano. Garth, the owner, came by and made sure we are satisfied and everything is in order. Highly recommend!

Delicious dinner at a classic steakhouse with comfy seats, nice decor and perfect live piano (not too loud). But they add a 20% tip - for a table for 2! Adding it to the drinks as well. I usually tip 20% anyway - but let me make that decision. The service wasn't all that great - and the automatic tip makes that easy for them. And then when they bring you the bill, they leave the tip line open - as if we would tip him more!! Points for yummy key lime pie but...

Business/sales dinner. Upon entry to the restaurant you’re greeted by leopard print carpet and matching decor on the bar along with a piano artist playing modern songs. I knew it would be something special. The rosé was perfect, the salad great, and the seabass was the most beautiful and delicious preparation I’ve ever experienced. The manager checked with us and was exceptionally kind and helpful. If ever I’m back in the Rittenhouse area I’ll visit here again 1000%. Thank you!

Wonderful restaurant. Great setting. Excellent service. Went with a group of 8. I had the Lobster Bisque which was nice and creamy with just the right amount of lobster in it. All sides are all carte so we had creamed spinach, mushrooms, and brussel sprouts. All were delicious. Had the 12 oz NY Strip. Cooked perfectly with peppercorn rub. Dessert was pecan pie ala mode. Excellent as well. When you visit you must have dessert!
