Penrose Diner - Philadelphia - Photo album

Diners are typically a dime a dozen, and in order for one to truly stand out, it needs exceptional service, a great atmosphere, and solid food options that come out better than expected. Penrose Diner hit the nail on the head with our recent visit. After running a 5k to fight childhood cancer, my
An enjoyable dinner at the diner. An extensive menu with daily specials. The tuna melt, waffle and cheese steak were tasty and exactly what we expected. The place was packed on a Tuesday night. The staff were friendly and efficient. A reliable establishment!!!
I had a great breakfast special for holiday! I love that their pancakes not very sweet, I can choose if I want it sweet or not! The service was good, everyone was so friendly.
Had time to kill before heading airport, so on recommendation, we tried the Penrose. It was very busy [good sign!] The service and food was exceptional!! We would highly recommend Penrose and will be back the next time we are in Philly!
I went to visit the Philadelphia area and decided to come here for dinner. The food and service was good. The first order was meatloaf, stuffing, green beans, and a salad. The second order was turkey, stuffing, mixed veggies, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and salad.
WOW! What an AWESOME place for breakfast! We were looking for a yummy spot after landing in Philadelphia, and this place jumped out at me- we are SO GLAD we went! The breakfast is delicious and well priced.
took my friends from texas here to give them a real diner experience, and i firmly believe this diner is everything a diner should be. there's plentiful parking outside. the atmosphere is clean, bright and inviting. the food is cheap, freshly made, and delicious. they have endless options - if you a
Went to Philly for a show. Stayed across the street from the diner. Grew up in Jersey love a good diner. Not much where I live now in ocmd. Was a real treat. Great food breakfast all day. Will go back again when I m back in Philadelphia.
We were so happy to find good breakfast in Philly. The service was 10/10. Anna Marie was our waitress' name. She checked on us regularly and got our food order in quick. The food came out freakishly fast and fresh! The pancakes?? *chef's kiss!* Ah... so good.
Consistently excellent food. They have shortened their menu, so that was a bummer, but when I asked the waitress about one of their previous classics - she asked the kitchen and they made it for me! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We frequent this diner before Flyers games.
This was one of my favorite meals in quite a while. The food selection is insane (in a good way.) Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. Our food was to die for. I had their French onion (10/10) and their eggs benedict (once again 10/10.) Check out their online menu and definitely give these
Oh my my my Penrose? You have my HEART. We walked in and were immediately seated. Our server god bless her i didn’t get her name. Me and my friend had such a hard time picking something on the menu! She was so patient and sweet to me! Literally showed me the specialty menu that i didn’t even notice!
Up to date modern dinner. Great place to get breakfast and lunch. Like any diner, a lot on the menu and have specials. I had the Ruben sandwich and my friend had the half rack of ribs. It was all delicious and a great portion too. Not too much but not too little either. The waitress was on top of
I’ve been wanting to eat here for many years. Yesterday on my way to South Jersey I did it. I was greeted warmly and sat in a both. Lori was my server. She gets 5 stars!! I ordered the Lox platter. It was phenomenal! I live in Reading. I will be eating here again ASAP!!
Maryanne was byfar the most amazing server we ever had! She was so kind and sweet. We came from out of state and was only in Philly for two days, but because of her, we chose this diner two days in a row to start our day at!! This will be our forever go to spot whenever we come back to visit!!
What do you get when you mix the right amount of class with sass? A great Philly diner. My kids and I love this place, especially before a sporting event. Good food. FAST service. No indigestion, even when paying the bill.
I'm from Detroit. Penrose reminded me of the great local restaurants we had in the 60s...fresh...good fish. Nice service...all around A.
