We come here every time we travel to Philly from Bel Air, MD. We LOVE the ambiance, and the menu never ceases to enthrall us. Last time we discovered their mushroom bisque—-OMg——it’s the best I have ever tasted!!! Will now have to order it each time we go, along with the filet egg roll, which is like a cheesesteak sub inside an egg roll!! The filet medallions as an entree was amazing—-tender as could be with amazing flavor!!! Had a special with veal tenderloin that had a fantastic spinach/mushroom/bacon side that was quite memorable. Can’t wIt for our next visit!!!
Our experience at the Rose Tattoo Cafe was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was great, and the food was really, really delicious. I had the Gaucho steak special and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had; cooked perfectly and very flavorful. Highly recommend!
Always a favorite spot of mine. For lunch or dinner. Excellent lunch menu. Good wine list. Last time I had the crab imperial for lunch. It was great. This time I had the Tortellini and it was so delicious. I have been here many times over the years and I have never been disappointed.
The food was incredible and the ambiance was fitting for the place! We really enjoyed our dinner and server
We have been visiting the Rose Tattoo Cafe for at least four years now and always love the atmosphere and it’s perfect for a romantic dinner. The staff is always attentive and the food and service has always been top notch. If ever in the city of Philadelphia you owe it to yourself to visit and there is parking across the street 👍🏼
Service and food were excellent. Highly recommend the lamb chop appetizer, mushroom bisque, diver scallops, and jambalaya (my personal favorite).
My boyfriend and I travel from Baltimore just to stop by and have dinner sometimes twice in one week, this place is great, the food is amazing and the staff are wonderful. We even have our favorite table we sit at, and they know us. I love (WE) love this place. We have shared Rose Tattoo Cafe to our friends in Philly and that's all they talk about. 😊😊
The service was awesome and Adam was outstanding along with the food! I will return with friends next time a must place to dine!
Wonderful place ,food was great and customer service even better !👍👍
Intimate atmosphere, great food, and amazing staff! The hostess made our first visit to the restaurant incredibly special when she orchestrated a surprise "proposal" to two of my bridesmaids during a family dinner. I can't thank you all enough!
Good food and service was great! Mother's birthday dinner. 5 yr son had a good time as well. Waiter helped us with a special dish for my son. Will definitely go back.
This place is very nice staff is exceptional and very very honest! The atmosphere is very sophisticated! Great scenery! Not to mention their desserts to my understanding are made in house (fresh) smh WOW their key lime lemon meringue cheese cake was nothing less then perfect my son had creme brûlée for the first time and was very much impressed!
One of our favorite restaurants for a romantic dinner. I have been coming here since 2006 and it never disappoints! The mushroom soup is the best I have ever eaten. I have celebrated several birthdays and anniversaries here. You cannot beat the food, service nor the atmosphere for a romantic evening out.
The experience my fiancé and i had was exquisite! The whole experience between the dimly lit ambiance, to the positivity and professionalism that the staff treated us with and the deliciousness of the food was amazing. Thank you!!
We have been several times when in from Long Island to watch our daughter play college soccer . Atmosphere is very nice , food is delicious love the mushroom ravioli 😊 Great drinks all in one of our favorite philly spots
Met my friend there for a late lunch. The service was very good. The food was excellent. The ambiance was quiet and peaceful.
I love this little spot. We visited the area this past Saturday, from the DMV because my boyfriend is from there. He insisted we go here for dinner. Dinner was great. A very nice experience. At the end of the night my boyfriend proposed!! We want to thank you Rose Tattoo Cafe from the bottom of our hearts, for putting up with and allowing the photographer he hired to capture something so special in such a wonderful setting. And for allowing him to get in your way the whole night..lol.. and mostly for sharing such a special moment with us! My night was amazing!! We will definitely return over and over!! Warmest wishes!!
The future Mrs and Mr. Isaac Anderson!!
The Rose Tattoo never disappoints. Amazing food, service, and ambiance. AND, great desert. Highly recommend!
The food here was great, we all were very happy with our dinners. Great service and the Tattoo Spritz was quite good.
It was a good classy meal, a little pricey for me but damn worth the money if you are trying to go out for an upscale meal. Solid beers and apps, I will be back again
I absolutely love everything about Rose Tattoo...my mother and her friends would dine here when I was younger, I was proposed to here and my husband and I return here every so often for greatly prepared food. Rose Tattoo is definitely a staple of quality and quaint atmosphere in Philadelphia. A true gem..
Love the food. I had the salmon sandwich and wings.
Nice selection of menu items; not a huge menu, but something for everyone. Our party of five greatly enjoyed everything we ordered. Servings large enough that we took food home. Attentive service. On street parking. We brought our own bottle of wine. Great experience. Looking forward to our next visit.
Mushroom soup was really tasty. Service was prompt and attentive! Salmon sandwich was also good
Came here for our anniversary dinner and it was fantastic. The atmosphere alone justified the travel there. We were seated upstairs where you overlooked the bar and the tops of the plants. The food was amazing - I had the sirloin medallions and they were incredible. My girlfriend got the shrimp pasta and that was good too. The elder Manhattans were great drinks too! They even put our dessert on the house for our anniversary! Awesome experience.
I went at about 3pm and I was the only customer, but they were very nice and made me feel welcome. The "small" menu for off hours offered a good variety of items. I had the chicken salad on what seemed to be a very fresh roll. What makes me give them a 5 stare rating was the desert. I had the White chocolate Strawberry brioche bread pudding. It was AMAZING and huge. I don't believe I have ever enjoyed a dessert more (and I've been a big Cheesecake factory fan forever). The bartender was helpful with my questions since I'm not from around Philly. The building itself was so pretty and authentically antique. Beautiful wood and lighting, even the ceiling was attractive. Don't know how crowded it can get, but I would definitely recommend a stop in for even just a quick meal like I had. Oh, and my bill was 23$ for what I had, so be aware of the prices.
Amazing food, drinks and service!
Food was delicious especially the flatbread. Drinks were awesome and our waitress was very nice. We made reservations ahead of time and was seated right away, I thought it was going to a long wait since it was Valentine's weekend. We will definitely be back.
When I first walked in, I was slightly confused because the restaurant splits into two different ambiances. To the right, it look more causal dining and the left, was more like a outdoor cafe. We choose the left because it had a lot of natural lighting from the sun roof. The decor was beautiful and they have seating upstairs. It kind of feel like I was eating outside without having to especially because it's winter.
The server was very attentive and friendly. Immediately as we sat down, he greeted us. He was very knowledgable about the menu and told us about the specials right away.
The food was so-so, a little over priced, and kind of tasted like diner food. The jambalaya was warm and delicious. However, the crab cake sandwich just sort of tasted like a frozen crab cake deep fried. Just a personal preference, I didn't like my hot coffee in a clear tall glass mug, would of preferred a ceramic one instead.
Overall, the restaurant is very spacious and interior design is beautiful. It probably would be a nice place to go for drink after work. I also wouldn't mind returning for restaurant week here.
