Great service, great food and what a selection of beers…the people at the bar are just fantastic, they make you feel like home, even though this was my first visit here! This must be a true German place, each beer comes in its specific type of glass (THANK YOU!), the Schnitzel is great and just being here makes you feel good! I come back, probably every weekend!

Organized my 20th year high school reunion in their back party room. Everything was perfect. First class beer selection, great bar and food, and spacious venue. Even better was their amazing team. Huge thanks to Erin, Gary, and the staff at Brauhaus for making this a very special evening.

First try of German dish: ordered their crispy pork flank and two glass of beer (number 3 and number 27). The first beer was definitely on a lighter tone, while 27 had a stronger taste. The pork shank took a bit long time to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait! The exterior of the shank was crispy while the inside is perfectly cooked. The only reason I took away one star is because it was a little too salty for me personally, but my father had no problem haha. Highly recommended if you wanna try something different!

To be honest I have not been in Germany. My husband he’s from Czech and wanted to have European food for our dinner after we got out from art museum. We’ve been in German restaurant near where we live so I know a bit of their dish. The only thing I like is red cabbage and spaetzle for sure ooh also potato pancakes when he cooked at home. So anyway back to this place, the potato pancakes we got for us didn’t have enough flavor kinda bland and if I knew and realize in the first place that they’ll have applesauce on top of it I would ask waiter please put in on the side instead but it was our fault didn’t read well the menu. We got Max as our waiter and he’s nice and helpful because we had to customize a bit our order as we like and he made it happen 👍🏻 My halbes hahnchen not sure if the sauce or the chicken but was “wow” extremely salty! I mean OMG I asked to my husband is this really German food if one day we will ever go there? Because now I’m afraid to go..I’m kidding I will still go and I’m sure I can eat something else. And my son had authentic German sausages.. and he only eat the 2 sausages, he don’t like the sides that came with it. My husband had schnitzel chicken and he ate the whole thing and of course he also had some Ayinger Octoberfest. The place was packed tho and I really love the atmosphere.

Excellent beer, great service! Pretzel is fantastic, the roasted half chicken is VERY good. The potato pancakes are very bland, however. Needs to be elevated with chive, more sour cream.

The place is very nice, they have a huuuuge variety of German beers, the food is simply heaven and the staff is extraordinary... especially our bartender Tara ☺️ ... outstanding service, great smile, friendly, great menu recommendations... Top notch. Thank you for the super fun time and the great food and beers👌☺️

The service and food were excellent. The server perfectly suggested beers and the food was in nice portions and tasted great. There was a group of people sitting at the table next to us that could not talk to each other without yelling for some reason. Once they left we could finally talk to each other at our own table in a normal tone.

Shout out to Greg's Eggnog Martini cocktail! This egg cream inspired by the holidays offers a creamy but very complex flavor. The caramelized cinnamon/sugar rim adds to the fresh shaved cinnamon stick and chocolate flakes on top. The best eggnog martini I've ever had! You must try it or you haven't done Christmas!

The staff is always professional, friendly and work expeditiously to service their customers. Food is great. Glasses are cleaned in a dishwasher, are always shiny and clean. Beer offerings are extensive and are on multiple boards visible to customers. Popular sports on multiple TVs. The glasses are also rinsed before being filled. Check out this place for great German food. In the Fall there is an outdoor Oktoberfest too. Check out their website for special events all the time. Check out Brauhaus Schmitz - you’ll love it.

This place is nothing short of awesome. Authentic German experience with a wide selection of beers and classic German food. This place was fantastic and accommodated the newly married couple and party! Before I go into detail on the German cuisine, I should preface this review with the fact that I've only ever been to 3 other German restaurants. Based on my in laws reaction who actually lived in Germany, the food is indeed "top notch" by their standards! The first thing ordered were the appetizers. This consisted of, kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes with apple sauce), Laugenbrezel (Bavarian pretzel with an awesome cheese sauce), and the bier-klöpse which is a top tier entree that is a definite go to, of these the options. A sausage board was also added to the appetizer list and shared amongst the table. The sausages were all good. I ordered the Jäger schnitzel with the fries (pommes) and spätzel. The sauce alone is something to be talked about! I enjoyed every bite and wish I could have had more. Definitely one of my favorite German go to restaurants! The staff was very friendly and attentive and had great suggestions for the different beers they had.

Food was incredible, the establishment was much nicer than its South St designation would lead me to believe. Our group had an amazing time overall. However, there were only two servers and ours couldn't remember whose drinks were whose etc. Still only one star off since everything else was great and we'll definitely be back.

Wow. This was a fantastic place. The food is hands down amazing, and I am still thinking about the mushroom sauce on the Jaegerschnitzel and Pomes. The atmosphere was chill, everyone was really nice, and the service was great. Legit German food and beer, with nice people. What else could you want?

Absolutely smacking sausages. We got the bratwurst, fuerwurst (spicy pork), chicken wings (hänchenflügel and German pasta dumplings (gemüsespätzle). Fuerwurst with the sweet Bavarian mustard was to die for: soft, juicy and packed with flavor. Another home run with the chicken wings. The pasta was luxurious - you could taste the emmenthaler and mushrooms. Was impressed by the diversity and breadth of beer options on draft. My only complaint were the potatoes and sauerkraut. Potatoes needed more flavor and elevation, they were bland. Sauerkraut was mushy which was disappointing - you typically expect a crunchier texture. Other than that, definitely would come back to try the rest of the menu!

Mother's Day dinner was amazing! My son said he had to share his favorite place. LOVED it!💕 The Share tray with meats, cheeses and breads was delicious. We had jeager shnitzel and Rindsrouland plus Apple Strudel for dessert...and beers on tap!! Mike M was a fabulous server!
