This is a tiny spot with only a few seats inside and out, so be prepared to take your sandwich and eat it elsewhere at busy times. As it happened we did get a seat and all squashed in happily to enjoy some amazing cheese steaks. This is a traditional and small family run place and they have home made sides, we got the potato salad and it was really really good. They're great for allergies and they do gluten free and dairy free. The gluten free subs they use are really good, definitely the best I've had in a long time. It's worth taking the time to stop in here for an authentic Philly Cheese Steak.
Family owned restaurant for 75years. Good classic cheesesteak nothing special or unique. The grilled veggie hoagie was tasty had broccoli rob and sweet pepper’s definitely need a fork and lots of napkins. 2 items came to about $40 cash price (credit more expensive). Wouldn’t go back for the price. Small seating area inside. Bottled beverages soda and water $4.15
Very enjoyable cheesesteaks! We tried one on gluten free roll which held
Up well and it had sesame
Seeds on the GF roll. The traditional roll was awesome. Served steamy hot and perfectly melted cheese along with The meat which was really good quality, good Flavor, and melt in your mouth tender. The potato salad made by Mia’s mom was delicious. It Had so Much great flavor - Italian dressing but a creamy traditional potato salad. Must try some ! There were plenty of small tables inside. Mia at the counter was very helpful, patient and kind. We had to drive around the block once to find parking. Paid parking using a parking app. If you pay in cash you get a discount. Highly recommend
Got the works cheesesteak with extra provolone, it was delicious. Ate at Sonny’s yesterday, we agreed this was better. Family run and boasts homemade potato salad, coleslaw, cookies etc. Only tried the coleslaw but it was great. It was nice to sit outside. We’ll come back here.
Huge ! Lot more steak in sandwich then expected. Home made sides and deserts also available but no room to eat any more! Good location. Clean restroom. Friendly staff.
Was recommended by a friend of mine and this place had the best cheesesteak I had so far! I had a “The Works” , and if I wasn’t full I would’ve ordered another one. Would definitely come here again.BTW, Amanda is so nice😁 Keep up the good work, Amanda!
There's a reason Campo's is known to be one of the best places for cheesesteaks in Philly. Top-level food, and their team led a fun exercise for our group to all make their own cheesesteaks. Our groups have loved it and we can't wait to bring more food tours here.
I got the Philly cheesesteak with onions and cheese whiz, and it was very good. The staff is very friendly. I also enjoy their soft pretzel.
We went as our first Philly cheesesteak experience and it did not disappoint! We got the works cheesesteak and it was really good, lots of flavor and the hoagie roll made it so easy to eat! We also had the homemade pasta salad which was great! One of our friends is vegetarian and LOVED the inclusivity and the taste. Finally we all split a cannoli which we promptly all fought over how many bites we all got! Would highly recommend coming here for cheesesteaks can’t wait to come back!
The Cheesesteak was not oily but juicy and reasonable portions for a couple. The restaurant has long history and good atmosphere.
As a vegetarian I was so impressed with Campo's options for both vegetarians and vegans!
I tried the Impossible Works and can truly say that I was finally able to experience what it means to have Philly Cheesesteak. It was super tasty and the blend of impossible meat, cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms all on a classic Philly hoagie roll was just an amazing combination!
We also tried the in house made maccaroni and pasta salad and they were very tasty as well!
The icing in the cake was the cannoli which, to no surprise, was also very very tasty!
Happy to have a place to have Cheesesteaks in the city as a vegetarian finally!
This is the best cheesesteak that I’ve ever eaten! The beef is surprisingly moist (see the photo yourself) and the bread and sweet pepper are exactly what I wanted for a cheesesteak. I’d come back for a next time~!
Yumm!! Came for cheesesteaks, and Campo’d did not disappoint. Homemade macaroni salad was a nice surprise and even reminded me of my grandmothers. We will definitely come back.
DONT MISS OUT
OMG, this is our new cheesesteak place in PA. This ain't your children's touristy cheesesteak place. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL.
It's Second generation run family business (a HUGE plus) close to downtown and Independence Hall. The founder's son, "Dad," fills the cannolis fresh, which is the only way an Italian would take a canolli. His wife, "Mom," makes fresh pasta salad, potato salad, macaroni n cheese, and other sides. Their daughter, Mia, was working the register just before she had to leave to make a deliver.
We came for a cheeseteak. Mia recommended their Reuben. BOO FREAKIN YAH!!! Their Reuben is on point and one of the best I've ever had. The cheesesteak was fantastic....tender ribeye, seasoned perfectly, with just the perfect amount of provolone (never whiz), onions and peppers.
Great location. Great atmosphere. Great family-run eatery! Great food.
We will be back for more and to try other sandwiches.
DONT MISS OUT!
This was my first cheesesteak and it did not disappoint. I got it with the provolone. Very quick service and a nice place to grab a bite.
A hidden gem! This restaurant exceeds expectations with its exquisite menu and attentive staff. Each dish is a culinary masterpiece, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors. The cozy ambiance enhances the overall dining experience. A must-visit for food enthusiasts!
Reluctantly, I have to follow a gluten free diet. I’m always thrilled when a great regional food is made available when I’m traveling through! Thanks for offering a GF version & making it so tasty!
