Awesome little restaurant in Old City. Staff (Mark and Katie) were great with recommendations for someone visiting from out of town and very friendly. Atmosphere is laid back and has a warm ambiance. Veal dumplings were bomb!
Cozy atmosphere and delicious food served in generous portions. Lovely people here as well. The perfect low-key lunch spot! I got the chicken sandwich which was juicy and perfectly charred, came with sweet potato fries that my friends and I devoured. My friends all enjoyed their meals as well, can’t go wrong with any choice here!
We stopped into Race Street Cafe for a spur-of-the-moment brunch. Unfortunately, we were too early to try one of the specials I saw on the board which was a take of a fancy grilled cheese. They said the specials weren’t made until 3 pm. I settled for the Race Street Burger. I asked for it medium and it came out essentially just well done. It still tasted okay but not my favorite. The fries tasted good but the portion seemed a bit less than typical in this type of dish. My girlfriend really enjoyed her order of The Hangover. The croissant was baked well and the tater tots were nice and crunchy.
The location itself gave off a friendly sports pub/tavern feel. The staff was very welcoming.
The burger with avocado and bacon added is one of the best burgers I've ever had, and fries were super crispy and good. Clear that high quality ingredients were used, and the staff was super friendly, will definitely come back when I visit Philly again.

Came to visit the area from DC & they came highly recommended! They didn't disappoint either. Great service & delicious food. The Brisket Sandwich & the Tot combo was delightful! They also had a Pumpkin Tiramisu that was the best Tiramisu I had ever tasted! If youre visiting Philly give the cheesesteaks a break & check this spot out!
Low key cozy atmosphere on a Sunday night. Appearance resembles a bar, but wasn’t rowdy or loud. We were totally comfortable eating with our underage teen about 8pm. Staff was friendly but not intrusive. Food was great. We were able to order 3 different vegetarian meals for the 3 of us and everyone was happy. I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up there again before we leave town.
This place was great! Portions were just right (we had burger and brisket sandwich).. staff was attentive. This place has a great beer list and prices were fair and very reasonable. Would go back! Entrees are 10-15 dollars. We had 2 entrees and 3 beers for 50 dollars.
Visited on a weekday so no brunch as they only do brunch on the weekends. We ordered the turkey burger, brisket sandwich, and the brisket dinner. We also ordered calamari to share. It includes fried slices of jalapeños and cauliflower, which is not something you usually see but it worked with the dish. My friend also ordered one of the ales (one of the sours one and she liked it).
Thank you, Ashley! The service was impeccable and your meal suggestions were spot-on. The food as delicious as it gets. The mushroom soup, my dumplings (well, ravioli) and my friend's steak plater were scrumptious, tender and plentiful.
The Cafe is small, even tiny by some standards, but that adds, not detracts from the experience here. The wood-burning stove and warm atmosphere are inviting and make you not want to leave.
I'll definitely be back soon.
We went for lunch today and even though it was very cold, they made everything as pleasant as possible. The waitress was friendly. Due to COVID, dining is only outside. We had beef barley mushroom soup-delicious! Cheese quesadillas and steak, chicken chili were superb too. Bloody Mary’s were excellent. Very satisfied with presentation, delivery and tasty food. I would highly recommend this cafe.

Holy Heaven! The brisket sandwich is hands down the best. Great beer selection. Cozy place with smooth vibe. Unpretentious. Friendly staff. Must visit when in town.
Friendly, intimate environment. People enjoying each other's company. Delicious Brisket entree. Lots of drink choices. Wood stove. Here visiting and just loved it here.
Great food. Good service. Outside seating is loud due to high traffic street. But still a great time. Just be careful not to park at the end of a block and check the signs. Lots of tow areas. I was sitting eating my food and saw my car ride by on a tow truck. I was parked in a "tour bus" section not noticing. Sign was 2 businesses away from the stop.

We were looking for a place to eat after we visited Betsy Ross's house. This place was nearby so we thought , what the heck let's give it a try. When we got there our first impression was not pleasant because we walked in and the lady bar tender gave us a, who the !@#$ are you? Look.
The waitress asked us if we wanted to seat in or out on the sidewalk. We sat on the sidewalk and she was awesome great service and the food was 💣
They get four just because of the moody bar tender.
Very nice place like a tavern. small and cute atmosphere food was delicious. did take sometime to get our waiters when no one else was here but great place. would definitely recommend
Music- Great.
Burger- Delicious.
Drinks- Strong and well priced.
Service- Friendly and way better than the high end bar across the street.
Uber had surge prices due to a downpour, and we came here for one more round to wait it out. We ended up getting food and staying for a few more. This is what every neighborhood bar aspires to be.
This place gets it right. I had the brisket meal and everything was superb. I also got the buffalo chicken salad. It was very good as well. The chicken could have been a little less tough, but overall, it was well done.
My new office is down the street so I had to try out Race Street Cafe!! I got a filet mignon salad which was amazing with a hazy IPA. It was beautiful out especially with the bridge in the background. Waiter was very friendly and the wait wasn’t long! I’ll have to come back with friends! @sebbybelly Instagram
