Stopped by just for drinks. Ended up also ordering shrimp cocktail, smoked fish plate and dessert. Everything was on point.

We celebrated a special birthday for our son's girlfriend last night. From the moment we stepped inside the door it was outstanding. The way we were greeted, our servers were fun and very attentive, and our meal was one of the BEST we've had anywhere in Philadelphia or any other city. I was so excited to go, we've been trying to get there for some time. It did not disappoint and will definitely be a new favorite. Thanks to all for a lovely evening.

We've been to Jansen 20 times in the past two years and every time has been outstanding! Jansen is out favorite restaurant in Philadelphia.

My fiancé and I really liked our overall experience at Jansen. The atmosphere was great, the staff were fun and helpful and the food is creative. I’m giving it a 4 because we found the side dishes, drinks and desserts exceptional but our main dishes a little too over cooked or missing a wow factor. I wouldn’t be so picky but these are very expensive dishes, they were very good but didn’t blow us away like the first course or desserts did.
I got the pork special with Lancaster peaches and my fiancé got the green circle chicken breast. The pork was very good and well cooked. I would have changed the grilled peaches to a peach chutney on-top instead as the regular grilled peach didn’t mesh as well with the overall dish. The fried chicken was very good but half of it was dry, veggies were on point.
Dessert was incredible and I am urging everyone to get the cornycotta. One of the best desserts we’ve had at ANY restaurant.
This was the perfect venue for our small wedding ceremony. My Husband and I wanted a small wedding reception and Jansen delivered in every way. Our planner was Veronica, she was the best to work with. She gave suggestions, guided us through our planning and was so flexible whenever we needed her. Jansen's food is amazing, the pastry here is to die for and the drink are exceptional. Can't say enough about this venue. Our night was perfect and everything we wanted.

The rabbit cassoulet and the duck cassoulet were both out of this world great! Excellent service and a cozy atmosphere. My only complaint was a peculiar persistent odor when you first walk in that seems like a plumbing problem. I would definitely go back again.
Jansen is truly a gem in the Northwest section of Philadelphia. Every time we bring friends, they're amazed the restaurant isn't in center City. The food is of the highest quality, and never disappoints. Cocktails are carefully crafted, and the wine list is thoughtfully curated to complement their food. If you're looking for unpretentious high quality food, you cannot go wrong with Jansen!
Jansen never disappoints. The service is amazing every time. Attentive. Accommodating. All about the customer experience. Creative craft cocktails that change seasonally. The menu is innovative but still sticks to classic flavors and dishes the chef puts his own touches on. We got the mahi jambalaya this time and it was excellent. My partner and I come frequently and we love the ambience outside, especially in warmer months when it's lush and peaceful. We are lucky to have a neighborhood spot that serves such high end quality food. The manager Zach is amazing and always so involved and present in the service each night.
Attended a tasting dinner and wine pairing on back patio.... Food was fantastic and innovative... service was informal in a good way and fun, atmosphere was perfect, beautiful space out back, we'll spaced tables.... great experience, one of the best options in Chestnut Hill, will return

Jansen is the kind of place that you bring people to if you want to impress the heck out of them. Every single bite you take is truly delicious. The atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy. Zac and the staff are warm and friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough for a top notch fine dining experience!
