This is my all-time favorite place in the City! Quaint and cozy, the food is incredibly fresh and delicious. We visited during Restaurant Week and i had the marinated artichokes which were briny and olive-oily and delightful. I ordered the papperdelle which usually comes with mushrooms but since they are marinated in butter and I'm allergic to dairy, they were gracious to substitute asparagus and arugula instead with nutty toasted sunflower seeds with olive oil and the perfect amount of salt. It was fantastic. We ended the night with a perfect trio of cinnamon-raisin rice pudding which my husband devoured, and a warm gooey flourless chocolate cake and lemon sorbet. It was a wonderful dinner and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff is very attentive and accommodating, I highly recommend.

My boyfriend was in Philadelphia for work and I sent him to AC for dinner- he raved about his meal!! I was one of the original servers 20+ years ago and I’m so glad that it is as wonderful today as it was then- Food and service were excellent.

The food here is SPECTACULAR. And the perfect presentation of each plate was impressive too. I didn’t have one bad dish. Service was first rate as well. Extra points that they’re BYOB! Will definitely be back and highly recommend as a hidden gem in Philly.

Had our wedding ceremony and reception here, and it was everything we dreamed of! Maggie and her team were OUTSTANDING - they worked with us through every step of planning and helped my vision for our intimate, dinner-party wedding come to life. I thought I'd have to skimp on traditions for our unique and small wedding, but the team at Charley Dove ensured we had everything we needed for the most memorable night of our lives. They even allowed me to bring in some decor of my own to ensure the night lived up to my imagination - and they set it all up for us! The food was amazing and guests consistently came up to us to say it was the best wedding food they've had. Special shout out to the head server, Bastion, and his team - our friends and family raved about the level of service they provided all night. Every dietary request was met without hesitation, drinks were never empty, and they navigated the unique requests of 45 people so efficiently, with grace and kindness. I am so so grateful we decided to hold our ceremony and reception at Charley Dove. This place holds a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to host other events here. If you're looking for an intimate event space for a special milestone, you won't regret Charley Dove!

We visited this restaurant a few years ago when it was called Audrey Claire. Located on a quaint corner in Rittenhouse, Charley Dove now still serves Mediterranean fare, but even more delicious. Dishes are beautiful presented and their taste is amazing. Servers are attentive and very friendly. Don’t forget your wine, as this place is BYOB, and no corkage fee surprise! They even brought us a bucket of ice for our white wine. I recommend the Baby Octopus and the veal, but everything seems delicious.

I hosted a business dinner at Charley Dove and everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious and was beautifully plated. I took the Creative Director's recommendations on the menu and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and attentive. The set up worked perfectly for us - intimate without being crowded. Our party had colleagues from across the US and Europe, and they all raved about this hidden gem. Highly highly recommend!

Love the new digs. Great food and great service. Started off to a great start with a complementary amuse bouche. We got the hummus, Caesar salad, bbq roasted squid, roasted beats, veal short ribs and finished off with Mediterranean rice pudding.

Love the food and the service here. The menu is small but almost everything is good. Bring your own bottle to pair with the food!

This was a last minute reservation.. and will certainly be back! Everything was delicious! I’d just say maybe use a smaller dish for the Caesar salad so it looks like you’re getting more than 3 bites of lettuce. Will 100% be back!

A cute, fun, intimate restaurant in Rittenhouse. The arugula salad and the mashed potatoes with the pork chop were out of this world! So. Good. I was a little disappointed with the pork chop itself--the flavor was amazing, but I thought it was a bit over done. This was also my first time eating octopus--it was a new texture for me, but not bad! And finally, they had really great service, aka kept my water filled without being asked! :)

Wonderful small restaurant. Excellent blends of delicious flavors. We had octopus and lamb sausage appetizers and then lamb steak and braised short ribs for entrees. Highly recommended.

A great little BYOB restaurant in the Rittenhouse area. The setting is small but quaint. The food is amazing and offers fresh healthy takes on local fare. The grilled Bronzino is truly incredible and the you should try and save room for dessert.

I had wanted to got to Charlie Dove (nee Audrey Claire) for quite some time. Lives up to the name; the cosy setting, the food, the impeccable service everything is highly commendable. Would love to come back again .

This place has a very interesting menu, but the food is simply delicious. Flavors and colors unlike anything I’ve seen before. I had the grilled octopus and branzino and everything was so fresh and flavorful . Patio with heated seating and byob! Perfect date night spot.

My food was amazing! My dessert wasn't anything special but I was so full I didn't mind. The place is very cute and gets busy. Our waiter was great!

I haven't been here since it was Audrey Clair. Easy Five Star! The food was absolutely phenomenal! The servers were polite and very attentive! The ambiance was excellent also. BYOB We were a birthday party of 10 with two people eating kosher, two people halal and a vegetarian. The appetizers were very vegetarian and pescatarian (kosher) friendly. Very colorful, vibrant and imaginative. The eggplant and bronzino were praised by everybody and the braised veal ribs were amazing! The desserts were small, simple and delicious. Overall five star experience and I will be going back soon.

Charley Dove, even though it has changed hands, is as remarkable and delectable as it was the first time I ate there when it was Audrey Claire 10 years ago (this month) when I moved to Philadelphia. Each dish is considered, balanced, delicious, and portioned very well. Nothing is too spicy, salty, or sweet - there has been careful study of flavors and textures. The service is top-of-the-line, and we truly had a wonderful, intimate time. Can’t recommend it enough (for small groups, 6 max! Preferably 4 or 2!)
