First time here and my husband and I were extremely impressed. From the charming decor inside and out to the friendly and inviting staff. I had the linguini with clams in white sauce and my husband had the gnocchi with scallops and shrimp. We can not say enough about how delicious our meals were. To go along with my dinner I enjoyed a yummy French martini. Afterwards we had dessert, the best coconut pie I ever tasted with a hot cup of coffee to finish. My husband had the lemon sorbet that was served in a frozen lemon, beautiful presentation. I’ll say we will definitely recommend and be returning to Popi’s.

The staff here is great! The food here is outstanding! Not from the area but this establishment is a must! While traveling for work I am usually skeptical of most restaurants. The atmosphere is just right and the drinks are on point! Try this place you will not be disappointed!!

One the best Italian Restaurants in the city. Service, food, and all personality, they hit the mark on all points. The executive Chef and her staff really do a great job with providing authentic Italian food. The owner really gets what it takes to provide the full experience. I would highly recommend this Restaurant!

We celebrated our 40th Anniversary at Popi's with a small dinner party and everyone enjoyed the service and the food. They allowed us to arrive early to decorate the table and Carmella our server offered her suggestions to make our occasion even better. We want to thank Popi's for a memorable dinner and especially thanks to Carmella our server and Debbie at the front desk. We would highly recommend Popi's for your next occasion.

We had 20 family members there attending my husband’s birthday. I wanted Tilipia with crabmeat, they did not have it on the menu The chef came out to say no problem. The appetizers were unbelievable. They served them country style. Cocktails were great. The birthday cake was really good. The staff couldn’t do enough for you! I can’t wait to go back.

Great food and a lot of fun. We stayed after dinner and hung out in the bar area to listen to Bob Pantano. A lot of great music, fun and dancing! Also the BEST people watching. Will definitely return.

Had THE best time, bartender, (Paul?) was a gem! Terrific food, great prices, and so very clean, Then when we saw the cooking class of 10-12 year old kids come in I was in awe of the place! We'll definitely be going back!

We lovedPopi’s. This was a our second time there. The big difference this time was that Benny was there singing Sinatra and Bennett songs. The food is great there, but with Benny singing the food tastes even better. Cant wait to go there again soon!!!

What a treat! I'm staying at a hotel near the airport and wanted a nice dinner and glass of wine. Popi"s is ADORABLE, relaxing and they know what they are doing in the kitchen! The biggest surprise came when I ordered a Sangria and Sherry HAND MADE the drink, mashing cherries, oranges, lemons and limes! Would definitely come back next time I'm in Philly!

I have eaten @ Poppi's many times, usually for dinner.  Their Poppi's salad is to die for.  My favorite entree is the chicken parm or the veal parm.  I always ask for more gravy on the side.  The portions are more than enough.  I always have a Manhattan cocktail first, which is the best.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly.  Nothing is too much trouble.
There are quite a few good restaurants in So. Philly, but only Poppi's has a free parking lot!.

Just discovered this place after all these years. It was recommended by people from the Phillies organization. Had a great lunch, great service and free parking! Appetizers were delicious, mussels, fried calamari, and shrimp. Main course was grilled chicken and shrimp. Will try the blackened version next time will also plan for dinner. I recommend this place.

The ambiance is great. The staff & service was the best! Now let's get into the food. I had a French martini..shaken not stirred and it was delicious. I was tempted to order a 2nd one. The crab cakes were filled with jumbo lumps of crab meat and seasoned perfectly. The roasted pepper mashed potatoes were surprisingly tasty and again, seasoned perfectly. I definitely recommend Popi's!!

Atmosphere was that of a traditional Italian restaurant. We were seated quickly and our food arrived quickly and piping hot, which is a preference. My partner enjoyed his ravioli quite a bit. For me, the penne a la vodka was a miss. It was salty and not creamy enough for me. I enjoyed the addition of the peas. My partner tried my dish and liked it, so it was probably personal preference on my part. At the end, we ordered chocolate cake which was excellent. Presentation of food was lovely. Nice spot if you enjoy Italian food while you’re in Philly.

Popi's offers the quintessential South Philly Italian dining experience. A reasonable distance from the stadiums, Popi's is a good option for pre-event dinners. The pace gets loud and crowded, so reservations are a must. A week stocked bar has a wide variety of wines, a handful of bottled beers and some mixed drinks.

Sat at the Bar had Fruttie De Mare was very good. It seemed a little soupy at 1st but they made it spicey upon request and the flavor was pretty amazing. The bar tender poured a solid whiskey on the rocks for the price. Woukd definitly visit again if Im in Philly.

Popi’s provided a quality, scrumptious Valentine’s Day menu, from beginning to end, with the bonus of a live singer who crooned popular love songs from the 1960s through the 2000s. Quality linens, lighting & design added to the romantic ambience.

One of our favorite places to eat - never disappoints. We decided to have our daughters baby shower in their banquet room. Every person was extremely helpful and courteous throughout the process of arranging the event and during the event. The Banquet Manager Debbie was extremely helpful in accommodating our needs. The food was excellent , the dessert table was beyond my expectations and extremely delicious. The overall atmosphere was wonderful. They truly helped make my daughter baby shower a huge success.

This was my first time at Popi's, and it would not be my last. The entire dining experience was pleasant. The service was prompt. The food was delicious, and the dessert was mouth watering. If you are interested in a relaxing meal with an elegant ambiance and delicious food, look no further!

20 plus or minus in our Christmas luncheon group and we had a great dinner lunch for $32 each. Appetizers and entrees, large portions from sandwiches to main entrees.

Had made reservations for 8pm to find out they close at 8. They called and just changed me to 745pm so we still went and had a great time. We were one of I think 2 tables and you would never know it. Our waitress took time to explain the specials and took our order for drinks and appetizers. We never felt rushed, and even enjoyed coffee and dessert. All the food was out of this world and can't wait to bring some friends with us next time.

My Brother introduced the establishment to me, due to his familiarity. I was highly impressed and the service of our hostess, Ms. Claudia, made me feel at home! The presentation of appetizer to dessert was very impressive. Please visit.

Don't sleep on the chocolate cake. The food and service is always fantastic. But, I could go here just to listen to the crooners and eat that chocolate cake!!

GEM! Place was lively with a party, lot was almost to capacity, entertainment was entertaining. That was the draw, BUT the food and service in the midst of all the liveliness was GOOD! Anthony our server, attentive, personable and knew menu well. My sweet potato soup was exceptional. Cucumber Martini, potent. Focaccia with ricotta and apples appetizer, a surprising twist. And, my main course of crab cakes with a mustard sauce, (I think)and roasted veggies(potatoes, carrots, Brussel sprouts) was really good without being overly done up. Topped off with a good crème brûlée. It was a good dining experience start to finish. Encrusted Fluke fish, with veggies, and Ravioli were enjoyed just as much by my table mates, and a hazelnut dessert and the chocolate cake, ALL fawned over and enjoyed. Meal for 3 with 2 cocktails and one mocktail. Was under $200.

As many times as I have been to South Philly, I never knew about this place. I couldn't believe it. Let's start with the outside. It's in the neighborhood but there is abundant parking - with a parking lot on the side. Outdoor seating is available. The inside is outstanding. Spacious capacity nice temperature. I was with a group after a Phillies game and we were seated right away. Our server was Claudia and she was incredible and perfect. She knew the specials and the menu back to front. Incredibly polite and efficient with a dinner crowd to manage. Can't say enough good things about the service. Top notch A+ . Then there is the food menu. In a word -Amazing! I had the Caprese and Fruti Di Mare. I highly recommend but everything on the menu is a can't go wrong. Authentic Italian cuisine that is a can't miss hidden gem in South Philadelphia. Also easy access to sports complex and the Philadelphia International Airport. Enjoy and Thank me later.
