Aya's Cafe - Philadelphia - Photo album

It's a pleasant surprise to find this Mediterranean restaurant at the Center City. It's a quick 6-minute walk from Suburban station. We ordered Aya’s taster to share with 4 people as an appetizer: it comes with 4 different hummus, falafel, tzatziki, waraq enab, kalamata and baba ghanough, plus abun
Cozy Mediterranean BYOB. Beautiful decor. Went for lunch with a friend but will definitely return for a romantic dinner w/my Honey. Tasty food, ok portions. Great service from our server, Nina. Best lentil soup ever!
Interesting and satisfying food with big portion sizes. Two of us got the $25 three-course meal, which seems like a good deal. I tried the hummus appetizer (OK) and the Moussaka (meaty red sauce with a cheese topping; very good).
Great experience. We absolutely loved it. Very romantic and service was great. We had the three-course dinner; soup or salad, main course, dessert. Soup (lentil): 5/5 Salad:4/5 Main course (chicken cofta and ground beef): 5/5 Rice (with raisins): 3/5 (personal preference) Bread: 5/5 Tahini sauce: 5/
Super relaxed environment. Server was really nice and accomadating. Lots of vegan options. Nice little candles on table. Really cool music. Nice comfy chairs, dim lighting. And most important- FANTASTIC FOOD. Couscous = I love it. First time having Egyptian food and it was delicious. Highly recommen
Food was delicious. We shared a salad with an extra chicken skewer and each got a lentil soup. They were good to the last drop Atmosphere was fair. Would be better for lunch. I don't get a dinner vibe there.
The staff was very friendly towards our dog and asked if we wanted some water in bowl. We said yes and when he came back with the water bowl we realized that he put ice cubes in the water bowl. If that's not going the extra mile i don't know what is!! My girlfriend ordered the falafel sandwich and s
Good appetizers and good entrees! Lamb was amazing! Would highly recommend this place!
This was one of the best Mediterranean meals ever. The ambiance was great and the staff was delightful
Wonderful little restaurant! Not a local, I was I town for the flower show. Everything we ordered was amazing! The appetizer taster was great I ordered the morrocan lamb shanks and they were amazing! My parents ordered the a kebab sampler and lamb chops. Both of their meals were amazing too!
Love, love, love this place! Everything is AWESOME about this restaurant including the staff! You cannot go wrong; I promise you! Tiki is my favorite! He is such an awesome host; very attentive and professional! If l lived in center city, I would literally eat here every single day; in or outside! T
A great neighborhood restaurant! Always good and never disappoints.
Friendly, personal service combined with excellent food. We grabbed take out while staying at an Airbnb up the street. While waiting I walked to Cherry St Tavern for some take out beer, and they were perfectly accommodating. I recommend the cilantro lamb, the kebabs, and the lamb shank.
This cosy place is one street away from the hustle and bustle of chestnut and market street. The comfy couches, soft music and amazing food make me wonder how it's not always bustling with people. I've never had to make a reservation here but I've also only come on weekday nights. There are a myriad
I'm so glad I picked Aya's Cafe for my birthday dinner tonight. The food, from the soup and appetizers, to the entree and dessert, were all delicious. Plus, service was outstanding. The only complaint I have is there were a lot of entrees on the website menu that weren't available in the restaurant.
One of my reliable favorites in the neighborhood. I highly recommend both lamb shank and cilantro lamb stew, and foul (fava bean hummus). Always warm and welcoming, consistently delicious. Coming here feels like coming home. BYOB!
Visiting the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, my wife and I looked for a nearby eatery for lunch. What a find! She had chicken kabob and I had lamb schwrma. Delicious! My wife went gaga over the rice and asked for the recipe, which the chef gladly gave. Ambiance, service, location, prices were ex
