This is the best authentic Turkish food we have had. We stopped by for lunch and were not disappointed. The waitress, Esra, was very helpful, suggesting meal options as well as being very attentive. The food was delicious, freshly made, and at a great price for the amount of food. Chef Fatih gave us a complimentary appetizer and an authentic Turkish beverage. Amazing flavor. He even came out to see how we were. Before we left, we were pampered with tea and a desert. The bathroom is extremely clean. Anytime we are in Philly, we are definitely visiting Isot. What an experience!
Great service! Fast and friendly. Enough vegetarian options.
Beautiful ambience.
Chef sent some extras too, like the serbet which I loved
Excellent service. Very good food. Liked the appetizer sampler plate the best.
Food was so yummy!
The beryan Soup was so delicious 🤤 perfect start for the dinner or lunch .
The entrees are very expensive also delicious! But they definitely need to focus on quantity of food. If we pay 38$ for a special entree coban kavurma. Hardly one person can eat ful stomach. They give very small portions of meat and rice but it's definitely delicious. We expect more quantity if your prices are high. Thanks for the on the house drink it's a shot of sharbat which is really good.
Food was very tasty, and the service was fast. The only thing, portions were small.
Unbelievable food. I was surprised and impressed with the high caliber and presentation of everything we ordered ... just fabulous. Everything was so well prepared and fresh.....it was better than expected. Definitely going back. The lamb was the best we have ever had., and the beef meatballs and yogurt sauce they were in superb
Went in for lunch and were blown away by the hospitality and quality of the food. So many vegetarian options and everything was made to order. The sherbet drink and the new pumpkin dessert totally won us over. Food was so good that we have now decided to visit Turkey to see how good the food there is and compare. Amazing!!
This was and perhaps still is one of our fave Turkish place to go to. Over the years, the prices has gone up 20-30% at least… Which makes this place the most expensive Mediterranean resto in the area!
The positive:
I’ve always enjoyed the complimentary small bites they start you off with.
The service is usually great if you get the right server.
The food comes quick most times and almost every dish is delicious.
The place has a good decor and good spot for a date.
The bad:
- The chicken kabab is not as juicy as other places
- The overpriced menu. They can def do better with pricing.
Try saksura for appetizer and mixed grill for entree.
The food is absolutely amazing. The staff were highly attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food was well crafted and beautifully made. Every dish was worth ordering. The pistachio baklava and Turkish coffee was perfect to finish the meal. Highly highly recommend, and I will return.
Superb! Absolutely wonderful! My husband enjoyed his birthday dinner thoroughly; the only thing better would be an actual trip to Turkey ! The waitress was excellent! Attentive kind quick and on point from the time we walked in until the time we left. The owner was also very involved and caring. You can tell this is a labor of love. It's halal which is always a plus and we would recommend every dish we tried. The decor is beautiful, and clean. The dumplings were light and filled with beef and lamb topped with delicate flavors of lemon and herb . The Mediterranean salad was phenomenal and we ate it soo fast we forgot pics. The Borek was perfectly filled and fried but not too greasy. Our mixed platter had everything you could ask for without skipping any of our favorites. My favorite was the lamb chop ! We finished with a dessert kunefe and coffee . It was all delightful and we will return. God willing
Isot is absolutely AMAZING!! I went to dinner here with my parents. We all love Mediterranean food but never had Turkish food specially. We had a great time both with the food and the dining experience! We ordered the Mixed Meze for a starter so we could try a little bit of everything. The portions were big and we could get as much pita as we wanted. My favorite on there was the Acili Ezme, Saksuka, and the Abugannush. Next we ordered the Mixed Plate for 2 people. The portions were so big we had leftovers even with 3 people. The quality of the meat was superb and they even threw in an extra doner kabob for us.
Fatih, the head chef and owner, came out periodically to check on his guests and even made time to get to know my family and I. The restaurant is family run and they make you feel like one of them! I highly highly recommend this place and on top of all that they are a BYOB!
We went based on the reviews we read and were pleasantly surprised, small, cozy spot, which at the time we went was empty (perfect for us and around 3pm on a Monday) friendly, down to earth service and best of all the food (we had the platter for 2) was amazing! She offered free pre meal drinks as well as a nice cup of tea after with a small sample of baklava (YUMM). Pricing is reasonable for the location, would surely return!
The wait staff were friendly and accommodating in setting up a table for 7. They first served a delicious amuse bouche and a kind of cider-like drink—all complementary. The restaurant is BYOB and we were not charged a corkage fee. The restaurant was quiet and cool; a lovely place for a relaxing meal.
This restaurant offers excellent service! Friendliest staff I have ever encountered. From the moment you walk in the ambience is warm and inviting.
The menu offers a diverse selection of Turkish dishes. I definitely recommend the lamb chops if you stop by for dinner! Reservations are preferred.
Very authentic Turkish / Mediterranean cuisine. If you like kebabs you can not go wrong with this place. All varieties of the meat were delicious and very tender. Don't skip the dessert with some Turkish tea. Baklava they served was very fresh, highly recommended 👌
Excellent pleasant service plus amazing tasty food here. We ordered the mixed meat platter and everything is delicious but my favorite got to be the lamp chop. Dessert may be too sweet for me but really good too. Totally recommend this amazing Turkish restaurant.
Just had brunch at Isot and it was so festive and fun. in addition to their regular menu, they offer a combo brunch option with a wide variety of delicacies. We ordered brunch for 2 and it was more than enough for 3. It came with tea, pita, olives, various cheeses, various types of fritters and a scrambled egg, cheese and veggie dish. Our waitress was delightful and the chef came out to chat as well. The space was bright and pretty. Not a cheapie budget option, but worth it for a cool experience.
You need to try the brunch, it was absolutely amazing.
Quality is spot on, everything tasted wonderful, super nice and professional staff, loved everything!
